It was a great experience! We miss the cinemas a lot! We were so glad to be able to watch a movie in the cinema again after two years of the pandemic. The cinema here was clean and they followed the social distancing guidelines carefully. There were empty rows and seats to keep a good distance between each other. We were happy that they played Chinese movie here. We enjoyed the new Chinese movie “Raging Fire” very much.

Very neat, clean, and organized, with a lot of free parking spots available and not busy most of the time. Whenever I went there, I felt like I was in a private theater. Just a few people were there, and most of the seats were empty. I also love the exterior design of this theater. If you are near this place, I highly recommend it!

Friendly service. Some arcade, options but not too many. Checked 3 different soda machines and they were all missing bunch of options. The theater was clean and comfortable. D-box chairs are cool to try.

Nice experience! Sound and video quality was great! Limited number of restaurants with limited number of options. The chairs were not that good... We were only 10 people watching the movie. It feels as if it's the end of an era! Cinema has lost its glory, hasn't it?

The silver city is almost the same as cineplex. This location is clean and organized. Sometimes we have parking issues. Their staff are kind and helpful. The week points compare to cineplex is the kids play zone. This section is very basic and needs to upgrade to be more helpful and attractive for the kids.

Had a satisfying experience! Went there over Christmas. It was fully packed, yet we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Large parking with convenient location to visit. Seats were very comfortable and roomy. Prices for food an drinks are ridiculous as you predicted. Let's just say no prices showing on the food menus.

I came here for a movie for the first time since the pandemic and it was a great experience. On Friday evening, there were a tonne of people working who tried their best to keep everything clean and in order. My only criticism is that there were 16 minutes of ads before my movie started. The movie literally started 16 minutes after the scheduled time because of ads so don't bother being on time. I get that they are necessary, I would just prefer them to be BEFORE the scheduled start time of the movie.

8Aug2021 Came here for a show at 12:30pm. It is like a ghost town. Maybe is too early? It is dead even at 3:00pm when we leave. You can select your own seat when you purchase your tickets online. After you select your seat(s)., All the seats around you become unavailable. This is a very nice feature for social distancing. They check your tickets when you enter the front entrance, if you haven't purchase your tickets yet, they will direct you to the counter. They have hand sanitizer dispenser but the one I try to use is empty. Overall I felt safe because is not crowded.

Clean and following Covid procedures very well. Line up for food was fast. Good to be back in the theater again. Timepmay app didn't work which was disappointing but otherwise all was good.

Ordered kids popcorn but they ran out of kids popcorn bags. Trainee server was willing to put popcorn in adult bags but not filled up which was fine. Manager wasn't fine with this and told the trainee to give popcorn in a tray to kids, not the best idea. A little bit of common sense on the managers part would have helped. Kudos to the trainee for using common sense. I would suggest the managers get some training and use common sense. Other than that the movie experience was great.

Great experience at SilverCity Richmond Hill. Quiet theater on a weeknight. Place is clean and has your standard options for food. Nice Coca-cola freestyle machine :)

Great place but I think the projectors need higher definition and the costs to come down to increase attendance. Saw Beekeeper with my boy Jason Statham and he worked hard in the film with a not so great director.

I love coming here because it's not as busy as other cineplex and there is ample ample parking. They also have 1-2 rooms with the best sound/visuals. For blockbuster action movies, I always go for the D-Box which I believe has gotten better and better over the years!

We've visited 3 times in 8 days to see the movie we booked. Great movies all squeezed into summer holidays. The complex is so busy and crowded with people. Pop corn sweetness float in every corner of the theater. Good for Cineplex.

Have not been here for a few years Everything is in great shape. Enjoy the clean auditorium with the kids. Not as busy as downtown Markham s movie theatre.

there was a group of teens causing a ruckus in my theatre- talking the whole time, flashlights on, etc. So we went to grab a manager midway through the movie. They first gave a warning to the kids and then kicked them out when they wouldn’t stop in a quick and efficient manner. When the movie was over the offered us free movie passes. I really appreciate that they tried to preserve our experience

The place overall has a high standard, always clean, friendly and amazing food from out takes! Though sometimes the floors in the movie theaters can be a tiny bit slippery. HIGHLY recommended this place!

Great experience for someone who has not been to the movies in years. Seats were comfortable, staff were surprisingly friendly and helpful plus I and love the double layered popcorn. To top it off, Barbie was actually very enjoyable, funny and uplifting. 5 Thumbs up 👍

Good cinema. The front ticket taker was very pleasant to talk to while I waited for the rest of my party to arrive. Saw Jurassic park 30th anniversary 3D and it was fun to catch it after all these years since I first watched it in 1993. The print was excellent but the sound was weird. The music track sounded mid range heavy and the surround seemed very spotty.

Not nearly as exciting as it used to be. No movie displays, no decorations and all 6 fountain machines were out of pop. A disappointing theater experience. Luckily the movie was good. We won't be back to silver city any time soon.

Went for the “Stars and Strollers” experience which is baby friendly. Low lighting stays on and reduced volume. Change table right in the theatre! Stroller friendly! An amazing outing while on mat leave.

Staff is courteous and helpful and always with a smile (except the gentleman checking tickets 🙊🙉🙈) Popcorn was fresh and the butter good. Nacho dips a re fantastic although Nachos could have been better. The movie I watched was not that good (Fast X) however the experience there made it a little better. Neat and clean as well with ample parking.

Watched Oppenheimer here and was able to get last minute tickets with good seats. So often available. The food counters are not open for late nignt shows, so be aware. Clean and quick service overall and loacted centrally in york region.

Nice, large indoor facility, with ample parking as well. Theaters were clean & tidy with comfortable seating. Good room filling sound, though I found, at least in theater 4 was lacking some bottom end punch. A good movie experience.

Always have a good opinion for Cineplex. I felt nothing changed over there. Well they maintain there cleanliness and customer preferences well as always.

Coca Cola freestyle machine, so many flavours! Lots of screens, an arcade, and an outtake for snacks. The theater is usually busy. The service is a bit slow.

Classic movie theatre that's existed for many years. The best thing about this place is the space - the parking lot and inside the building are both huge. The building is aging, though, and you can tell by the facilities inside that there's been a lot of wear and tear. You can't really compare this movie theatre to the newer ones, like Markham VIP. The seats are a little squishy and the screen sizes seem to be a bit smaller than other theatres, too. With the COVID protocols, there are staff checking for vaccinations before you enter the premises.

Was very impressed with COVID safety procedures and efficiency despite added precautions.

Came here with my son for a movie. The popcorn and drinks were great. The washrooms were a little dirty at the time but no big deal. The one thing I didn't like were the teenagers in the theater making tons of noise. If only there were a way to make the theater experience more immersive and personal, then that could revive the theater industry.

Great cinema, I really enjoyed the movie. They have adjusted well to post-pandemic life. Masks are mandatory in common areas, with the exception of while eating or drinking. When I went in over the past summer, there was social distancing in place, which felt terrific having a bubble around you during the opening night of a movie. Ultra AVX sounds and looks great as ever, and the popcorn while overpriced, is great.

Late Jan 2023, martini Tuesday noon show of A Guilty Conscience. Quarter of century ago, it was the Famous Players cinema. At quitting a sentimental movie and standing on the raised platform facing the sunset with Hwy 7 on the southern horizon in the non winter days. To me the feeling is amazing and always pleasurable. The first few years, the equipment and projectors are new, the brightness and color rendition of pictures are a luxury to be remembered. Anyway this is still a wonderful dreamland to share with other moviegoers.

This have been my go to cinema in the past 3 years. I'm giving it a 2 star as my last experience was very bad. because they sell tickets for an auditorium with broken heating. It was freezing cold inside, it was practically like sitting outside at 4 degrees. They simply apologized and said they would have given me a refund if I had complaint at the first 30 minutes of the movie! Why do you sell tickets when you know there's a problem? I'm so disappointed, won't be coming here for a foreseeable future

Although we attended a matinee and it was quiet, you could tell this Cineplex theatre was well run. Staff at the ticket counter area and concession stand were very helpful and cheery. The entrance area was very clean and so was the auditorium. Highly reccomended and would definitely return again.

Recently watched Top Gun Maverick at their AVX theatre. The movie was great. It's best to watch on a big screen and with big sound so this place was great. However, I noticed a faint buzzing sound when it was more quiet like during the dialogue scenes. Didn't ruin the experience at all though but hopefully they can resolve it so that it doesn't get worse for future viewings.

Excellent location however the washrooms are not maintained properly and the line ups are too long for entering the auditoriums.

I have never seen a emptier movie theatre on a Monday in my life. There was honestly more employees vs. patrons. Theatre was clean and at appropriate temperature. Sound was a bit loud, but otherwise perfect viewing experience.

This theater is looking rundown. The outside of the theater looks horrendous these days due to the multitude of water, & God knows what else, stains on the facade. The inside isn't much better either. The actual screens themselves are not as good as those new theaters or theaters that have been upgraded recently. If you're okay with paying a premium price for a sub par viewing & theater experience, by all means come to this theater, however if you want state of the art movie screens & sound quality, you should look elsewhere
