We had a fantastic dinner at La Petit Chef in the Jokers Theatre and Comedy Club! The experience was really cute and the food was excellent. One main callout that was greatly appreciated was the club's accommodation for dietary restrictions. Our 5 course meal was halal as requested. This was such a delight to experience! Check out the videos on the dinner experience I've shared but definitely try this out at least once for yourself. Great for celebrations.

Looking for something fun to do in the GTA? The newly opened Jokers Theatre & Comedy Club located in Richmond Hill, Ontario is a great option. It has stand up comedy on Friday & Saturday evenings. Perfect for date nights or sharing laughter with your family or friends. We all need some laughter and entertainment to relieve our stress and anxiety these days and Jokers Club is one of the best remedies. BEST Part? Lots of free parking around Jokers Club + being entertained in Richmond Hill without the need to travel to downtown and get stuck in traffic or having to pay expensive parking is a total bonus! Whether you are dining here for dinner, drinks and then a show. Or just like me, get a ticket, find a table and order the drinks and enjoy the show! Whatever works for you, you will definitely have a good time!

Came here last night for a birthday party and had an incredible time. We had the entire room reserved for our party. Entertaining and funny show by le petit chef. The little guy gives us a little show (approximately 2-3 mins long) at the start of the dinner, prior to each course, and at the end of the evening. Food was delicious, steak was cooked perfectly, and came in generous portions. Was so full by the end of the 5 courses. Staff were very friendly and service was prompt and attentive. Thank you le petit chef for a fun night!

Attended their Rising Stars competition. What a nice club! Appears to be pretty new as everything was in pristine condition. The amateur comedians were quite good and the MC was fabulous with very high energy! A steal for only 5 dollars entrance!

2024 February 4★ A decent size theatre and comedy club with about 40 tables that can house about 150+ people. Regular shows, special guests and events make this place lively. A fun way to spend a Friday night or weekend. There might be a cover charge for the show and requirements for food. All ages magic show was decent and humorous. Poutine $15.5 - fries weren't crispy enough. Would pass Mediterranean Pizza $24 - this wasn't bad. Better than expected.. Pappardelle Napoli $25 - pretty good. Flavorful and the sauce was pretty thick. Jokers Burger $24.5 -pretty good burger, though the fries could be more crispy. Still a good option. Virgin Martini $8.5 - was ok. Frito Misto $19.5 a Flour Dusted Calamari, Black Tiger Shrimp dish. Was good. Would recommend this here. Overall, a good experience. Though this would depend on the act. Still worth checking out as it's not overly expensive.

Wow! Totally blown away by the atmosphere here. We enjoyed the shows, magic & comedy, very entertaining. The food was great, service was quick. Can't wait to go back again. Le Petit Chef promises to be a one of a kind experience and we hope that we can dine here soon. So wonderful to have such an awesome new club in the 905.

Saw a show here last night, July 2nd. It it’s an amazing environment and the staff have good energy. The acts were great as well! My reason for a 3/5 rating it because our food and beverage service was poorly executed. The server herself seemed very nice and was apologetic but I get the sense things were not organized as many people around us got their orders while we did not. We ordered ahead of the show starting at 9. We didn’t get anything until after 10pm. We had multiple people taking the orders again and again. Finally beverages came and later food but both were the wrong order( or someone else’s maybe). They fixed the beverages but we just took the plain wings (we ordered bbq) and just asked them to cancel the rest since it was still not ready and the show was almost done. Our server said she’d comp the beverages. We waited a while after the show to pay for the wings, they couldn’t find the bill so they “compd” that for us as well. I would still give the place another try! I hope things are better next time. ****Edit***** Came back for a second visit today August 19th. Really enjoyed it, I thought the acts were funny! Atmosphere is great, server was really friendly and our food came out quickly. We really appreciated being welcomed back a second time. At one point during the show, servers were doing closing duties (cutlery) behind us and the comedian made a few jokes about this being a distraction, they caught on and had the staff move elsewhere. I appreciated their attention to hosting and ensuring patrons have a good time. I get the sense they really care about providing an amazing experience which makes you want to keep coming back. I would recommend Jokers to anyone and I look forward to returning. Especially to try the le petite chef experience!

Went with a group of buddies spontaneously on a saturday night. For most of us it was our first experience at a comedy club. Place was clean, nice, cozy and we did indeed laugh. The openers were… well they were openers! But the main act was rock solid. I suggest you bring some friends, have some drinks and food and you will be wheezing with laughter.

The Jokers Theatre and Comedy Club is recently opened, it's spacious, modern, clean and organized. The stage is new, clean and it's inviting. Moment you walked in, the ambience and light fixtures are LIT to make you feel welcome but more importantly, you know you are walking into an entertainment show! Staff from the hostess to the servers are friendly. The hostess will scan our e-ticket and then glided us to our table. There are a good decent food options and cocktails. It's so refreshing to have a comedy and entertainment club in Richmond Hill that is close distance to Woodbridge, Markham, Newmarket and the York Region. With ample of free parking spaces around the venue, it's definitely a great alternative without the need to drive to downtown Toronto and stuck in traffic and pay expensive parking (if you ever find a spot). I had eaten here before and the food were quite good. It's not special but comfort food that are reasonably priced and with good portion. In particular, I enjoyed the fried calamari and the grilled Atlantic salmon. I really appreciate the management really invest in this venue space. Many other venues, the owners wouldn't upgrade the venue space or renovate, making the venue looks very run down, which wouldn't get anyone to the door. So, watching a standup comedy is great here at the Jokers Club. For the foodies who wants an immersive dining experience. Le Petit Chef is a nice spot. I haven't tried it but I saw a glimpse of it and this experience is available in other parts of the world, it looks cool. Someday, I would like to check out Le Petit Chef. It has a cool space that is audio proof that will not be distracted by the main stage. As club settles in, they are planning to do magic shows, live band karaoke and other unique entertainment. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended for those who are looking for something to do especially on Fridays and Saturdays evenings.

I got ripped off. There was some confusion when it came time to bill out, and the server failed to print out the entire bill. My brother didn't check, he trusted the server and paid it up. Turns out, he only paid for his 30$ pitcher of beer. My brother was very embarrassed as the server wanted to get paid for the ordered food. As we were there with a large group, I told the server I'd pay for it. I did and it was done. Little did I know that the server had marked up the meals from the prices listed on the website. I was tired. I wanted to go home, so I didn't do a cross check. I should've but didn't think about it. I know it's not much of a mistake, but it's wrong. The nachos were 24.50. I got billed 27. The Frito Misto was 17.75. I got billed 18.75. The price was already high, (IMO), but that's just adding insult to injury. Clearly this server had the last laugh, but at the expense of a customer. Be warned.

We had my husband's 40th birthday party here last weekend and everything was absolutely amazing!!! Andrew, the owner, was so accommodating. He catered to any request I had. He ensured we had a seperate area for our group and provided us with a table for the cake and decor. We had a group of almost 50 people but everything went so seemlessly. They managed to get all of our orders and bring out the food during the show without any disturbances at all. Sahar, the main server, was super friendly and kept checking in to see if everything was going ok. The food was delicious!! The steak was cooked perfectly and every single item on our menu was fantastic. The show was hilarious and everyone had such a great time. They even let us stay back after the show to cut the cake and mingle. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a memorable evening. Thanks Jokers staff for everything!!!

Great spot for comedy! I have been to Jokers 3 times now for various comedians and each time has been worth it! The food is good, great portions especially the nachos. Tickets are always reasonably priced. It's nice to know as a Richmond Hill resident that there is a neat comedy spot tucked away off Highway 7. Keep up the good work, Jokers!

If you love stand-up comedy as much as I do, you've got to go to Jokers to check out your favourite comedians, or any comedians, really. I'd sooner watch almost any stand-up comic than go to a music concert, because with concerts, you probably won't like every song, but at comedy clubs, you'll likely get a good laugh in, even when a comedian isn't killing it with every joke. Plus most of the shows here are like $25. More popular comics are a little bit more, but probably still a lot cheaper than music concerts. The only downside to this place is that the food choices are very limited compared to other clubs, but that's very minor, and you're there to laugh anyway, right? I'll definitely keep checking their schedule for different shows, since I know I'll be back here soon.

I had no idea what to expect going here. I ended up being so pleasantly surprised the food was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken fingers and the French fries. The batter was high quality batter. The chicken was a real breast and juicy and the French fries? When real potatoes with the potato skin. When we entered, they asked us we where we want to sit. Which I really appreciated because I worried about seating. The show was hilarious and I have a huge crush on the MC. He busted out Michael Jackson dance moves and I fell in love. The washrooms were clean and had a funny poster. I have already booked for my whole family to go again!

Love this place! It's amazing for live entertainment. They do comedy, magic shows & even live band karaoke here. I haven't been for karaoke but have seen comedy and magic plus a live Michael Jackson impersonator performance. The staff is amazing especially Steve and Khel. I got to meet one of the owners (Dave) yesterday & he is going to do a hypnosis show on December 17th! Can't wait! The only reason why I deducted a star is because they have gotten their organization to a tee yet. We ordered their nachos yesterday & watched it being brought out and back twice as they couldn't figure out which table ordered it so by the time it finally arrived, the cheese was cold and hard & melded everything together so it was difficult to separate (had to literally stab the pile with a fork). I also asked for a separate bill in the beginning as we were 2 couples but that did not happen. I asked for it to be corrected and told her exactly what we had but it still came back incorrect. I just paid for my friend's beer, no biggie. I'm sure they will get better with time and getting used to extremely busy nights which is what I'd like to see. The people (staff) there is the reason why it has easily become my favorite place! Also without having to drive all the way downtown and find/pay for parking.

With its infancy comes growing pains, which stemmed from a malfunctioning printer, so the kitchen and bar weren’t aware they were receiving orders. Ultimately, this resulted in a 20-minute wait for drinks and over an hour wait for food, during a July visit. At first, we didn’t mind waiting for food as their martinis ($15 each) were so satisfying. The French martini was dangerously smooth thanks to the sweet Chambord and pineapple juice mixed with the vodka, a lovely summery drink. The Lychee Loves Lips martini was a bit stronger with the addition of lychee liqueur to the vodka. Although, I was a little disappointed to a lemon slice garnishing the drink instead of lychee. Even a canned lychee would really add to the experience. As much as we loved the drinks, after waiting 45 minutes, we finally asked someone to check on the food. It was then they discovered the kitchen hadn’t received our order and quick fired a complimentary bruschetta (not offered on their regular menu) to keep us satisfied while our meal was being prepared. We were thankful to have something to tie us over. I imagine they were rushing to send out food as the frito misto ($19) needed better draining to remove the excess oil and create a crispier flour coating. At least they were well seasoned, and the first bites super crispy and wonderfully hot. Being a frito misto, or a mixture of fried seafood, ideally the appetizer should contain more than a few shrimps. Alternatively, Jokers should consider dropping the scant crustacean and relabel this as fried calamari instead. With two simple tweaks, the burger ($19) could shine as it was tasty and incorporated fresh ingredients. Firstly, cook the beef to medium so the thick patty isn’t so hard. Otherwise, if pink beef is not in the cards, chefs should form looser patties (so they are less dense) or switch it up and use two thinner patties instead. Secondly, nix the romaine (or at least the rib portion of the lettuce leaf) as the hard and uneven surface area causes the patty to slip and soft brioche bun to break. There’s a reason why ice burg is so widely used. At least the fries were hot and crispy. My friend noted her steak was cooked to the requested medium rare but had a burnt taste. We figure it stems from two causes: either the pan/grill wasn’t properly cleaned between uses (in this case, make sure they are cleaned) or the black pepper sauce covering the steak was burnt. If it’s the later reason, to ensure the steak doesn’t cool off or overcook, present the steak at the table first and let the customer know the sauce is being prepared again and will be brought separately. I would much rather wait for the sauce than have burnt tasting steak. Hopefully, as the restaurant matures, they will develop stronger front-of-the-house management or staff will become more cognizant of operations and communicate better. Indeed, businesses are reliant on technology, which causes havoc when there are issues, but seasoned personnel can mitigate or reduce the aftereffects. For example, I’m surprised it took us checking on our food for Jokers to figure out the kitchen wasn’t getting orders. When they are approaching a busy dinner period and food isn’t being ordered or coming out of the kitchen, shouldn’t someone notice – either the kitchen, our server, or management? With the drinks, even after technology issues were resolved, we noticed my friend’s second martini sitting at the bar for ~10 minutes before it was finally brought over. Our server was helping serve the Le Petit Chef dinner, but there were other people milling around the bar. Given Jokers operates two venues in one, management needs to be on the lookout for ready-to-serve drinks and food and/or servers need to communicate and ask others to cover when they are serving during Le Petit Chef periods.

We’ve been here many times in the last few years and each time is such a fun time. Besides seeing the comedians, we’ve been for an improv cooking experience and it was great! will definitely make you laugh. Great place for a night out, try the nachos. Prices are a bit steep but they won’t disappoint! Also, free parking and lots of restaurants around.

We went to this place for a comedy show, which was nice. The food, though, was not. The steak was labeled as 5 oz and although it's hard to 'weigh' things by the look, it didn't look more than 3 to me. And the side was just fries. For $42! I'll go back for the show, but not the food.

We absolutely love this comedy place! We've been a few times and the service is always spot-on. The comedians are superbly funny. We only caught the tail end of the magic show, but it was very entertaining. The food is gourmet and large portions. They switched up some menu items to cater to the vegan's in our group. The drinks are amazing and the DJ played great tunes after the show that everyone danced to. The general manager, Andrew Taranowski, went above and beyond to accommodate our party, attending to our every need, Our waitress Kayla was genuinely friendly and attentive, always checking on us. We will definitely be back, soon and often!
