When I ordered, it came within the time told, loved the crab meat and sweetcorn soup ( and very filling!) Also ordered king prawns Hong Kong style with Large mushroom rice! Was told it can take a while due to cooking the food from scratch and availability of drivers. On the whole was VERY impressed and will order whenever I feel like a takeaway!👍👏👏👏👏👏

Great food, portions are good too for the ribs, chicken wings etc so I always buy from here. Fantastic tasting food as well

It's a shame to rate them so low as the food has been fantastic in the past. The last two deliveries though have been absolutely shocking! Ordered online, the order was expected 50 minutes later. After 2 hours I rang the shop ro be told we are very busy. A further 30 minutes went by before delivery arrived.... No apology, no explanation and cold.

Waited 2 hours for delivery , the just eat app told me it had been delivered so I phoned to see where it was , to be shouted at by an extremely rude woman over the phone telling me its not even been cooked yet , even tho the app said its been delivered?? I was then told it would be another 30/45 minutes, I then received an email saying the delivery driver couldn't find my address so the order has been cancelled?!?! please understand why i was frustrated.....i understand its busy so change the delivery times on your app ...... terrible customer service!

We are regular clients we ordered again and the prices seemed higher than normal.when we asked from the prices for each product "miss" was annoyed and started shouting at me and talked in a rude Manor when we asked why she said she refused our order and that she does not care if she loses a customer. Never again.

Disgusting vile customer service. Took my order knowing they were unable to complete it and let me know when I was already almost at the restaurant. The obese lady at the front has the manners of a pig. Vile. Will never order there again

Being pregnant I ordered a takeaway, only to realise this was 2 hours away from my location. Having not known this at the time, when it came to receiving the email receipt I check the address which was then to late to cancel. We phoned the takeaway only to be rudely spoken to. Did not receive a refund due to food being wasted although this was a mistake on my side. I thought the takeaway would of been understanding but clearly not.

Wouldn't even give 1 star to be honest. Rang at 10.15pm for a delivery they said be with you within half hr. Over an hr no show rang them several times at 11pm no answer. Always ordered with this Chinese as its so nice as used to order from bamboo garden But never again I will tell all my work lot who order from you not to bother!!

Ordered 4 dishes for delivery on 25th September. Only 3 arrived. Informed China Cottage who said they didn't know how to credit me for the missing item, but would put the cash through my door on Monday. Guess what i'm still waiting and nobody is picking up my calls to enquire why my money has not been returned!!!!!

Have used china cottage for years. Have complained twice and was told not to order from them again but I said the food just tasted of salt. Terrible customer service to someone who has spent a lot of money with them. DISGRACE !!!!!!!!

Ordered a meal about 6 months ago, was told 45 mins for delivery. 1hr45 later the food arrived, cold and with no apology. Thought that tonight we would give them another chance. Ordered at 18.30. 19.50 still no food. Arrived 10 mins later after a phone call to the shop. Again, it was cold. Sent it back and rang again. The owners couldn't care less. Will never use again. Awful service. Don't even deserve one star!

Order via food hub thinking it was westbury. My partner placed the order and once we got the confirmation email it was already for collection so couldn’t cancel my order. The person on the phone was very rude and not helpful.

Used china cottage lots times and ate the lot but the last meal at the weekend was disgusting prawn crackers didnt taste nice sweet sour sauce yuk prawn balls covered thick uncooked batter only thing that was any good was fried rice

If you are looking for food that's wonderfully tasty, then I recommend this place for the quality of food. There are about 5 Chinese places I can recommend in UK for tasty food and China cottage are 1 of them. They also accept cards.
