It’s cheap.. the location is good.. BUT you can’t even sleep in the room. The party music was beating up all night. The bed was dirty and I felt there were definitely bugs ( first time of so many years staying so many hostels). You can hear so clearly everything even from downstairs on the street. Not a slightly soundproofing at all. There are similar price but much better hostels nearby where we stayed

This hostel was so TERRIBLE we had to leave after 1 night. - Deformed mattress (springs digging into me all night and a huge crater in the middle) - Kitchen was filthy - Shower tiles were grimy and the bathroom bins were overflowing - Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - Room didn’t have a window or aircon (no fresh air and it smelt musty and dank) - Rooms weren’t clean at all - There was no way to get onto the top bunk without standing on other furniture in the room. The list goes on….but overall the place is a dump and I’m not sure how they’re legally operating.

Honestly the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. I’m not sure how they can call those prisons cells a room with no windows, damp carpet that has never seen a vacuum and dust as far as the eye can see. No ladders to climb up to the top bunk so must clamber over furniture to get up and down. Bathroom bins overflowing constantly. I genuinely think this place is a health and safety hazard. Those who have anything positive to say about this place have absolutely no standards. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

This hostel is really good, it has a great environment that I can feel relax. Here I met many good people from different places, receptors give me strong impression. One man of receptors is Huey who is really nice and gentle 😊, we talked about many things and I felt very comfortable talk to him. Anyway this hostel is suitable for people who want to meet new friends!

Twin room was lovely. Comfortable with a big window. Beds are nice. Staff are attentive and friendly. Location is EXCELLENT - right in the middle of Northbridge and a few minutes from the CBD.

I stayed in the female dorm. The beds were comfortable. I was on the top bunk. The lack of railing and ladder made me quite nervous. Getting up and down was quite scary. I would recommend that the management put in proper ladders and safety railings. The room was small and had little space for luggage storage, especially if you were on the top bunk. There was no A/C or heating so it gets quite cold and stuffy in the winter. Security wise I felt quite comfortable in my room. My personal belongings were safe while I wasn't there. That being said, I do warn you that there are no security lockers, you just have to trust your roommates aren't going to take your stuff. The walls are quite thin and the other hostel goers were a fan of loud music into the night. The showers were clean and effective. The kitchen was pretty messy and got quite crowded during prime meal hours. There was a food storage system in place which was quite effective so none of my food got stolen. The best part of this hostel is the location. It's in central Perth and only a five-minute walk to the Perth central station. The staff was friendly and helpful to me.

What's Good? 1. The hostel is a big place. It also has a backyard lounge with snookers and place to hangout with friends over some beers & snacks. 2. Great place to meet other travellers from all around the globe. 3. There's Netflix in the tv room. Great for a midnight movie. 4. Very good location which is nearby to restaurants, convenient stores, museums and train station. What's Not Good? For the bunk beds sharing room, there's ventilation holes above the door therefore you can easily hear noises from outside especially people talking, laughing and slamming doors. Its all too loud which can be really inconvenient for those trying to get a good sleep.

Lovely staff, great service. Both staff members at the front desk were lovely and helpful. Location has it's pros and cons. Close to everything, so very convenient but very loud on the weekends. The walls are very thin and sound travels, but it's an old building so it's not management's fault. My room was tidy, clean at first glance but definitely needs a deep clean. Bathrooms were similar, amenities worked as expected. Overall, I'm satisfied. I got what I paid for. I would stay again, but probably on a week night.

-Staff were friendly -Cheap prices -Location is great - central Perth, near lots of bars/restaurants/shops and close to train station and bus links -Bathrooms were always cleaned and stocked, nice hot showers -Plenty of seating in the dining area -Outside area is nice with lots of seating and pool table However…. -Walls are thin and can hear a lot of noise from outside your room -My room had ventilation above the door that had no cover so you could hear everything outside the room -Kitchen is not big enough for the size of the hostel and for the amount of people there. There are lots of cooker tops which is good but there’s not enough fridge space AT ALL or enough dry food storage

I used to stay here twice during my two prior visits to Perth and it was all good experience except some noise during weekend nights. This time upon my arrival, the lift was broken and I had to take my luggage weighing 23kg myself from Ground to 2nd Floor - no staff was willing to help at all! A lot of weird people start to move in this place compared to my prior staying experience: I saw some junkie-like guys hanging out in the corridors, and also elderlies struggling to walk on stairs which are unsafe! How could they get allowed to live in here? While walking pass the shared rooms it was very smelly and stinks - odour of sweat and shoes filled up the common area! Worst thing: I was assigned a room next to an old man who kept coughing all the night! Then I started to feel unwell and develop COVID-like symptoms and eventually ended up testing positive🦠! I am pretty sure I contracted COVID here because during my visit to Perth this time I was driving a private rental car and visit places are all outdoor places. Symptoms started to emerge shortly after my first night staying with the coughing guy. And getting worse from the 2nd and 3rd night, where I started to have a fever! They used to have a form to ask and staff would monitor visitors’ health conditions. Now with the mask scrap this place won’t care anymore, also what they are interested in is the “Passport check-in”. They don’t mind allowing weird and older people to check in. A hostel for youth? Nah, more like a council house now :)

The building is quite old, when you walk on the floor you can hear the wood making sound for each step. The bed also mostly so shaky and making lots noise. The staffs so friendly and helpful, room and restrooms are pretty clean. They have limited storage room and always full upon checkout. Nevertheless it's always fully booked every day, and I have to change room every single day during my 3 days stay. Lately it's hard to looking for accommodation in CBD.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ definitely for the location, the location is really awesome. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ staff is very friendly and helpful ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ great service, especially the 24h baggage store ⭐️ for the room no.9. The window above the door, you cant cover it with a curtain or smth else. That really sucks, cos the whole time 24h the light is on outside. That means, when you try to sleep during the night, it’s always light in your room. That needed to be fixed to get a higher rating. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ if you like parties and a lively place, then you will love it here, but if you more a kind of a quiet person, it could be a bit to noisy for you.

Really not good. The location of the hostel is really good but unfortunately the management is really bad, I am in this hostel since a year and I can’t extend my room I have to go somewhere else. This hostel it’s for backpackers but all the single room is not available, occupied by weird people they look like they came back from prison. A backpacker hostel is to meet people from different countries with different cultures and not weird people. It’s a place for young people it’s unacceptable that I am a backpacker and I have to go somewhere else. I don’t feel safe in this hostel. And also staff member throw my stuff and they never refund me. The guy who work at the reception is not nice and arrogant. One year ago was good but not anymore because of the people in this hostel and the management is bad. Apart from that, bedroom is alright, and looks clean but in winter it’s freezing is no heater. Very disappointing after being a good customer…

Good god I thought I was walking through a refugee camp. The room (private, fortunately) felt damp and gross. The bed was completely worn out, the bedding felt like someone had been sweating in it the night before and the carpet (why carpet?!) on the floor has seen and absorbed some things. Felt so uncomfortable and unhygienic. Can't believe they're still in business.

There is plenty of space around the hostel to work, hangout or just relax. The staff are lovely and it is in a great location. Very close to the state library, bus and train station. Kitchen and dining area are quite nice.

Well located and has okay facilities. Staff are doing their best to clean up after others daily, for which I really appreciate. Showers and wifi are functional, which I love. Could do with air-conditioning in my room, or common rooms at the very least. An FAQ covering what is provided and not would be great. Had to buy my own shampoo, but towels were provided with a deposit.

The staff were absolutely accommodating, I needed the accomodation ASAP and just Amazing, in a dorm room, I got in late, the roomies were understanding, had a great sleep. I totally recommend the establishment

It was okay for those prices to stay. They said female dorm has a locker with a key, but there was only a chest without key... And the asian girl at reception wasn't kind and friendly.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Very central location close to transport and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment. Regarding my stay- the bed springs were creaky, so could have disturbed roommates, but it was otherwise comfortable. Bedding was clean. Ventilation and cooling is through open windows and ceiling fans, which works because of the strong drafts in Perth, though not sure what it would be like on rainy days. This also means you can clearly hear all noise from the street. May not suit light sleepers or may need earplugs. Common room/ hang out area couches were quite run down.

Can’t complain for the price we pay for a double room in a hostel in central Perth. The staff were pleasant. Unfortunately the kitchen is kinda a disaster but this is because of other people in the hostel not knowing how to live with others obviously.. will still come back if we are around

Definitely, worst hostel I’ve visited. Room was the worst and cleanliness was lacking. Great customer service though…

Good value, good location, beds are OK but nothing special and awesome to meet people. It can be quite a party hostel at times and it's pretty disorganised - especially the kitchen.

Ladies is big bright and clean, kitchen and public space are quite big, just in sink was messy, but in the morning after cleaning was very clean tidy, at night was noisy, not recommend to someone wants quite, for me still can fall asleep. Cheap and as my expected, the price is fair

Well I will never know because when I made a booking I specified that I travel with my under age son and they accepted it but when I got to the place this not very kind woman said that he was not allowed. But the bad thing about this lady is that she could not wait to get rid of us. Very unprofessional attitude....well done

This place was quiet the night I went during the week. Very spacious front bar with comfortable seating, and an even more spacious back bar, with a side section fir the shunned few, who dare to smoke these days ❤️🥰

Lovely hostel situated in the middle of Northbridge, close to all nearby amenities and attractions, perfect location. Spacious and clean, comfortable beds and clean! One of the best hostels in Perth. Friendly staff make you feel welcome.

The management of the hostel is horrible. The hostel definitely changed. The hostel was once famous for the good party’s there but you can’t even bring your friends there anymore. If you work FIFO or in the night you can’t eat before/after work or drink something in the kitchen because they close it at 1am in the night. Because of that lot of people store food in the rooms. Insects love that. In the whole hostel are no aircons. There is just one at the reception. Toilets and showers are also really dirty. In the kitchen are always forks, cups and knifes missing. It’s normal there to drink out of a bowl because there are now cups. Now they make the prices a lot higher. A lot. There is absolutely no reason anymore for staying there. No fun parties, no aircon, no clean bathrooms, no cutlery in the kitchen and you can’t take your friends to your own “home” when they don’t live with you. Better look for something else! For this money you can definitely something better.

Booked a week long trip, only stayed 4 nights. Music was blasting in the courtyard until 8am so didn’t get a single night of good sleep. Toilets were also pretty filthy and half of the showers didn’t even work properly. On the upside, the staff were nice and the location is good if you want to be right in the heart of Northbridge

It was so bad we checked out immediately after 1 night, even though we were booked for another. The place is absolutely disgusting and the rooms are almost inhabitable. Tiny, dirty, smelly rooms with no windows. Staff at the front desk seemed disinterested and didn’t even question why we were checking out a night early. Wouldn’t wish a night in this place on my worst enemy!

Fungus everywhere in the bathrooms (walls and window frames), a lot of noise (thin walls and old wooden floor), trash literally everywhere (seems like they run out of storage so people staying long term leave bags with stuff in the dine room) kitchen is an absolutely "not go", really dirty carpets on the room (lots of hair), holes in the wall, really dirty vents, a broken window on the room covered by a cartboard and tape, you have to do your bed and at check out bring down sheets and pillow. Bed is confy
