Great place to visit with a wide variety of food. There’s korean food, dim sum and burgers just to name a few. The seating is outdoors though so do expect the weather to affect your food. Overall setting is very nice and gives off good vibes. Hygiene is great with sanitiser available at every restaurant. Proof of vaccination is also required.

Old Shanghai Visited on 26/5/2022 One can walk pass this gem quite easily in the day time. The signs nothing that grabs your attention. It is food court with 2 rows of food and beverage stalls on opposing sides. The middle is an aisle of dining tables and chairs. This has a hallmark of a Asian food court with 4 rows of red lanterns hung from the ceiling. There are mainly Asian food stalls, with an additional one selling burgers and another selling alcoholic beverages. It is either late for lunch, or the food court may still be suffering from the after effect of the lockdown. It is so quiet and I can hear a pin drop. We, a group of 4 hungry food hunters, decide to try something to substantial but flavoursome. We settle for Korean food from Hwaing Korean Kitchen (see separate review) and a beer from the Bar which has no name.

We had pho from Phovela for$14.50. This shop is newly opened and it has another one at St George Ter. The broth was filled with herbal and spice aroma and extra textures of bean sprouts, cooked slice onions, and cilantro. What I like the most in this serving is the variety of beefs, brisket meats and beef balls provided. They also had other basic condiments at the counter like soy sauce, sirancha, peppers although I'd always like to eat my pho how it is originally served without adding in any other flavours. A great experience. They also have other dishes in the menu like banh mi, broken rice with grilled pork, spring rolls, bao, and so much more. Cant wait to come back and try out soon.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Food selection covers everything from Hood Burger to Hong Kong style street foods. Prices are excellent, portions at all places are generous, and the atmosphere is good and very family friendly. I make it a point to get rice flour dumplings from the place on the far left corner near the back wall every time I'm in Northbridge and never regret it. Disability accessible and very clean.

Inside the Old Shanghai Asian food court is the most satisfying burger & chicken stalls Perth has to offer, Hood Burger. Buns are fresh, patties are moist and not fatty, fries are crispy and seasoned nicely, double cheese is essential to make sure you feel like you didn't miss out on any calories! Deep fried chicken strips are crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The blue cheese sauce and queso sauces are great for dipping your chicken, chips and hell the burgers in. There is also a Bar in the food court that serves tap beer and most drinks at reasonable prices to keep you hydrated!

Now that it has undergone small renovations inside... The Old Shanghai is a great place to enjoy a wide selection of food, including Chinese, Malaysian, Indian or Hong Kong.. The servings are always plenty anx the cuisine is well presented as seen in my photographs...!! It has a wonderful atmosphere, especially on the weekends & week nights.. It is quiet during the days for those looking for a quiet place to have lunch... The bar is open from 12pm... You can enjoy a great selection of beers on tap, or a drink of spirits from behind the bar... The service is friendly and the floor staff are wonderful...!! A great place to enjoy with a large group of people, or an intimate experience if you're on a date... It has outside seating and clean toilet facilities inside, there is also a wheel chair accessible toilet..

Have to been back for many many years. Still as awesome as ever. Got foods from different stores. 1. Korean fried chicken with sweet chilli sauce: damn good and worth it. 2. Malaysian Singapore wet fried Ho Fun: taste good but portion could be more generous for the price. 3. Sri Lankan dish: hm… it’s unique, taste ok, maybe should try other dishes. 4 Dim sum: just got egg yolks buns as dessert. It’s good unfortunately the central of the bun still a bit ice cold. Overall, good and satisfying experience. Next will be back to try out the burger place.

I cannot remember when was the last time I went there for a meal. It was much quieter than it used to be. However, it seems to cover a variety of cuisines ranging from Indian, Singapore/Malaysian, Korean, Vietnamese, Dim Sum and Western Burgers.

“Old Shanghai” is a quality orientalist food court in which everyone can relax and select various kinds of cuisine. The vibe is awesome.

Ended up here when checking out China Town @ Perth. Most restaurants were closed that day for some reason (or closed after covid?) Ended up eating Indian, Korean and Viet food in this foodcourt instead of Chinese food. Food is OK. I especially like the Korean fried chicken. The beef Briyani is great too, they gave heaps of beefs! So generous. Viet bahn mi never fail to impress the kids. The atmosphere though is not impressive, typical food court...

Good choice of foods in here but our Thai meals were lacking in quality & flavour, not a patch on genuine Thai food !! The place is plagued with pigeons looking for a free meal so watch out for the bird poop on tables & chairs 🤨

Fun and many places to eat. I got them 4 star as because I didn't understand why they required to have food from other stalls before getting some drinks from the bar, but the staff didn't explain it to me clearly. However I enjoyed the experience and food here.

Old Shanghai is the place to go with a group of people who can't make up their mind on where to eat. With a good range of Asian and western restaurants, everyone will be able to find something of their choosing. Includes a bar so you can have a drink with your meal and be ready for where the rest of the night takes you. Kept clean and tidy with a good atmosphere.

We went in here and had some fried rice and coffee at the Thai Coffee House & Salad Bar stall, and it was absolutely amazing. The prices were on par with other similar food stalls, and the food we ate and drinks we drank were absolutely divine. I haven’t had a chance to try some of the other stalls, but I’m sure they’ll be just as good :)

Was recommended this spot by a local and was pleasantly surprised. This is where locals go to eat! There's a great variety of cuisines, nice casual atmosphere, and it's not too far from the city center.

Not as many outlets as previous due to closures, but those that are there are as tasty as ever. There's still a good range of choices with Indian, Korean, Chinese, Dim Sum and the ever popular Hood Burgers. A licensed bar means you can even have a drink with lunch or dinner if you want.

Food hall situated in the heart of Northbridge with a great variety of food options including Hoodburger, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Dim Sum, Malaysian, Noodles etc.. Family friendly too. It's also a fully licensed venue with a bar serving alcoholic drinks if you're dining in. Plenty of different table seating options with smaller tables & longer rectangle tables to seat larger groups. It's kept clean & tidy by the very efficient cleaning staff. They promptly clear any empty plates/bottles from your table & also clean the tables as soon as people leave. Toilets are available inside too.
