Changed the name to Papa … don’t remember. But I ordered Japchae and got a soupy watery mess. It was so bland. I then told the waiter/manager that it was not the same as I normally order - then he dismissed it and said it’s the more traditional way of cooking it. It was nothing like Japchae. So disappointed. I miss the old Sura! Won’t be back.

We love the vibe here. BBQ is amazing, esp spicy pork belly, and so are the a la carte dishes. We dined on a very busy Sunday evening and we could see the owners and staff all did great to accommodate everyone’s needs. We’ll be back soon!

This place offers great specials such as the Wayu package, buy one get one free. The quality of the meat is exceptional including the condiments that come with the Korean BBQ packages. The staff is friendly and provide good service. However the place, tables, chairs and menus have been badly worn out and need an update.

I ordered Spicy beef soup and kimchi soup for dinner. It was a hug disappointment. Both of them was tasted horrible and not authentic. The beef was super chewy, soup taste was like water and vegetable was weird combination. I have tried these 2 soup in all Korean restaurants in Perth. The reason I have tried it today was because I thought your dishes also from Sura as well and I loved Sura Kimchi and beef soup. Really waste of money and never ever ordered anything from here again.

Recently introduced to this hot spot and I can't wait to come back. The food was super delicious and the atmosphere was chilled and everyone was just having the best time getting their Korean BBQ and Soju on 👏👏👏

One of the best Korean restaurant in Perth! Especially their noodles are awesome! 👍🏻

I was very disappointed. I ordered four dishes, then the quality of the two dishes were really poor. I ordered raw beef, which was not defrosted, and then the seafood pancake, which was overcooked and half of it was not chewable.

Authentic Korean, highly recommended. After having lived in South Korea this was as close as it gets to the real deal. Proper BBQ atmosphere, plenty of Korean people both dining and serving. Just a shame Soju isn't 1000₩ in Perth 😂

Nice late-ish night spot to go with for a date or with friends Food is great value for portion sizes and tastes great. The kimchi pancake is probably my favourite. Staff bring the food out fast & did a few check-ins with us to make sure we got everything we wanted. Great drink choices

We came here the other night, a group of 8. We had a booking. The older gentleman serving threw down a receipt and muttered something about ordering on your phone and walked off. We started putting our order through, half the table was still deciding so the other half already put their order in. The gentleman came over and started aggressively telling us we had to order more meat or he would cancel our order. He kep repeating it getting more rude and aggressive. We were a bit shocked but complied. The food came out in a very bizarre order. My husband getting his rice 20 minutes before his food arrived. None of the servers knew what any of the dishes were, and just put them at the end of the table and hurried away. It made it very confusing to know which was what I’m a group of 8 people. The same server that was rude earlier put down soup and also had no idea what it was. They seemed understaffed and I totally understand that, but there was no reason to be rude. Food was okay, nothing special

Casual and relaxed dining atmosphere; conducive to relaxing, enjoying food, and having drinks with good company. The owner was friendly, the menu had a nice selection, and the food was fantastic. This venue gets busy fast; we arrived around 6pm and there were fortunately still seats left.

This place used to be called Sura about 2-3 years ago and the food was amazing, however I came here for the first time since then this week and the quality of the food has significantly declined since the change of owners. The sign on the outside of the restaurant is now Papa's something. I ordered the B set which came with assorted cuts of pork, lettuce, sides, dipping sauce, rice and kimchi stew for $69.95. For some reason it took 30 mins to give us literally RAW INGREDIENTS?? Looked into the kitchen to see the chef vaping while cooking which could be considered a food and health safety issue. What came was 4-5 pieces of lettuce, 2 different cuts of meat with 1/4 of the plate filled with vegetables and a kimchi stew that was horrendous by far the worst kimchi stew i've ever had its like they mixed gochujang and water and called it a stew. I had to ask for the dipping sauces as if it wasn't already going to be brought out. And on the side about all the workers were gathered around one table eating fried chicken instead of serving customers. Overall I would never come here again take your business elsewhere this place is not worth it. If i could give this place 0 stars I would.

Walking pass and the look and smell draw my attention immediately. It is hidden inside of the alley. Food taste good but a bit too spicy for me. The service is great. I will definitely come back to try the other dishes. I feel I am back to the time when I was traveling in Korea.❤️

Went in for a relaxed lunch. Staff let us know that there’s only 1 chef in the kitchen at the moment so there would be a bit of wait. We were free today so just took our time waiting. The chef wasn’t dropping the standard of the food for the speedy service so we had to wait 30mins+ but it has been well compensated by piping hot delicious meal. Haven’t tried any bbq here but would always be back for K-Chinese dish since my partner regularly craves for it.

The dining area is under an outdoor tin roof. It may look a bit odd and old but it has its charms with the little fairy lights. Service was good and the food was good. It's a great date on a rainy night, having hot food while the rain hits the tin roof. Averages out around $35-45 per head.

It was not bad. Jajangmyeon has good wok smell but the pork was a bit smelly. Did not eat after one piece. Jjamppong was bland for me. Not salty, spicy enough. If I try next time, I will order spicy one

Not really impressed with the BBQ but I love their steamed pork! Also, good to have authentic all you can eat side dishes, like marinated bean sprouts. Last but not least, their beautiful floor staff are well trained to work efficiently.

My go-to place! First, I love the setup. Second, and most important, their food. It is so so good, definitely my favourite Korean restaurant in Perth. I love every food on their menu, but their egg roll, their seafood pancake and obviously their meat are THE BEST for me. And the final touch, the owner and all the staff are always very nice and always made you feel welcome!

Just popped my Korean BBQ cherry! Why have I not had this food before!? Absolutely fantastic. Had lots of fun with friends cooking our own food. Was amazing and can’t wait to head back! I’m hooked!

When you’re craving Korean fried chicken and beer. I’d recommend this place. Go with friends, family or by yourself. The food won’t disappoint!

Ate here multiple times during 2020-2021 and the food was always good. However I recently went back this year and found the standard of their food seems to have dropped drastically. The kimchi pancake was too thick and soggy, not like the crispy one they used to make. The beef in the galbitang was extremely tough and chewy, it was so difficult to eat and painful to swallow. Around the same time we arrived, another disgruntled customer had left after taking a few bites of his meal as it was not up to scratch either. I have given feedback to the staff so hopefully things improve, but we will probably not go back for a long time.

chicken and chips with sweet sauce was good with generous portion. The portion of the meat was not bad too. However the service was terrible, the staff forgot to serve us the sauce until we asked, and we didn’t get any oil either, so the bbq tray was burnt within a short time and there was not an available new tray within half an hour... How were we supposed to bbq on a totally burnt tray?

Foods ok, just a bit expensive

The quality of food here is so consistent and delicious, it's a very relaxed location and we (as a group of about 15) felt free to eat, drink, socialise loudly and were catered to quickly by the efficient staff. The staff could have been a lot friendlier and the 1.5% surcharge for paypass was unheard of, but I love Korean food and the range on offer here allowed me to try so much, plus you can get containers to take home 😁
