Delicious and fresh sushi! Great flavors and combinations! The lobster roll is to die for! Also a must try is their poke bowls! Some of the best sushi in the suburbs!

Update: we still love Kamehachi and I now wish I could give more than 5 stars! Recently I decided to propose to my partner there. They were so nice about working with me, and even went above and beyond!! They even sent us a congratulatory dessert, which was completely unexpected and so kind. Ace and Emily were particularly helpful! And of course delicious sushi! We order from here ALL the time, this was our first time eating in person. It was, as always, really good. Best sushi in the area, totally worth the price!!!

The food was over priced. I don't care if I am in Northbrook, the costs were too high. The server was good, time for food preparation was very long. The place felt like a step up from fast food

Kyle G's is on the Beach with a magnificent view of the Ocean from the Outdoor Patio to the Tables lined up inside. Live Music at Happy Hour on the Deck with Full Tiki Bar and Dinner seating. Sunsets are spectacular. The food is a seafood cultural fusion of French, Italian & Mexican delights. You can not go wrong with the Menu or the Bartender inspired Drink list.πŸ˜‹ πŸΉπŸ§‰πŸ§‹πŸ₯‚πŸ»

Very solid Japanese restaurant with super kind staff. My road dawg Conrad works there getting his bread so you know they got good workers. The food tasted great, just be warned the bento box is a LOT of food.

Ridiculous service. Ordered 3 salads with extra avocado to go. Came to pick it up, only to find that dressing was not included and avocado, for which they charge extra, isn't there. This is the third time in a row that they don't give me dressing with salad.

Ordered a selection of rolls, never had any issues here ordering delivery or pick up.

This was genuinely such a treat! The restaurant is split into two areas, one for pickup and the other the dining hall with a full service sushi bar. I loved the traditional Japanese details mixed in with the modern flair of creature comforts like booth seating. The owner or perhaps the hostess greeted and served me. I assume she was the owner because she directed the other staff while I was there. Anyways, her service was excellent and I ordered the Japanese fried chicken which was soooo good even without sauce! The flavors of the chicken were nice and full with juicy bites and savory taste. I also squeezed some lemon juice on top of the chicken as it was provided on the side. This boosted the flavor. Would definitely recommend this dish. For my entree I ordered the Sukiyaki I believe it was called; a beef stew with cabbage and onion and glass noodles. The portion was way too big for me after eating the chicken and drinking the hot sake I ordered, but wow what an amazingly warming soup with a great sweet and salty flavor! The beef was so tender and I wanted a lot more of it to be honest. The cabbage was perfection and my only complaint was that my soup had too many onions so it felt more like onion soup with cabbage and beef add ons than a beef soup with some onions in it. All in all, def recommend this restaurant, and I will be trying their other location soon enough! P.S. I made my reservation for 4pm on a Sunday, right before the dinner rush started. There was no one else present when I was seated, and as I was finishing my meal, more people were starting to pour in! They have great food so definitely make a reservation and plan ahead.

We have been fans of the old town location for many, many years so imagine our surprise when we saw that there is a location close to us in the suburbs. Oh my goodness, we love this place! We dine here on a regular basis and it's because the sushi is always delicious, always consistent and with outstanding service. Thank you! The spicy tuna hand roll is a must. It's one of the best spicy tuna hand rolls we have had and what makes it stand out from the rest is that you can see the pieces of tuna! It's not just mixed in. Dining here for lunch is a breeze with menu special options. We have brought guests who are not fans of sushi and they have enjoyed the many other items offered like yakisoba, bento boxes and more. P.S. We see lots of regulars which is always a good sign. We love it and also appreciate the fact that they make kids feel welcomed.

A very nice place to eat--solid aesthetics and good amount of seating (the door is kinda heavy though so be aware of that xD). Food prices are about average, a little above (not terribly expensive, about what you'd expect from a place like this). Usa was a very nice server and had some great suggestions on how I could pair foods. Salmon deluxe roll was tasty, ordered soba soup and a side of tempura. Tempura was very crispy and tasty, soba tasted good but the noodles were a tad on the soft side for me. Anyways, if you're planning a date or just want lunch, it's a nice place to stop in!

Every single time we order from Kamehachi the food is 30-45 minutes late and ice cold. I’m sure its delicious when fresh but we wouldn’t know. Calling the restaurant always results in gracious apologies but no results. As I write this they finally delivered our food - to the wrong house. If you want to try Kamehachi, either dine in or take out.

The food was very good, just not exactly what I was hoping for. The miso soup was a bit bland and had no depth of flavor. But the service at lunch time was attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is nicely appointed and it seemed to muffle some noise so it wasn't overly loud or jarring noisy. I would probably go back if I was in the neighborhood!

This place has gone downhill, zero freshness. Ordered a Goma-ae as one of my appetizers and the spinach had a foul spoiled scent so we ended up throwing all of it away. Pretty disappointed in the quality control here for the price. If they can’t get boiled spinach right, I have a hard time trusting the handling of raw seafood.

Great menu and very nice ambience. Their dining room is lively and has nice decor. Our food was delicious. We kept it simple with edamame, miso soup, and sushi. Service was a tad slow because it was very busy on Friday night.
