Old style theater with red decorations. 4 floors which allow for a nice view of the stage. The columns are slim, circa 10 cm each, so the are not that annoying even for the cheapest seats. Bars in every floor, with an offer of ice cream among drinks. Good sound system, even a little away of the stage I could hear very well. Went to see Ocean at the end of the Lane, excellent play from great author Neil Gaiman.

Great seats in the upper gods. Although the seat stated restricted view i had no issues watching the show. Really enjoyed Waitress. The interior of the Opera house has been massively modernised and the decor of the bars is beautiful!

Lights, sound and seating were all excellent. We had stall seats. Middle row J. The performance was so much more imaginative than I thought it was going to be. GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS. A relaxed performance. The children had an amazing time (4 of them aged 2-11). But as a review of the theatre, the Grand Opera House did not let us down. Waiting in line was kept to a minimum even with all the Covid-19 and vaccination checks. The toilets were impeccable and plenty of them so no standing in a queue for the whole interval. Instead I was able to change a nappy on a wall unit, in the end ladies stall (unmarked) and then still check all the concession prices at the 3 different areas. I say check because after Christmas it's all a bit much for my pocket. We had brought a couple packs of sweets and some drinks with us so that was fine and expected.

I am a frequent visitor at the Grand Opera House, this time we went to see Saturday Night Fever it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Since the major renovations the building is even more beautiful, with better sets & all of the staff are so friendly. It is my favourite venue in Northern Ireland!!

Lovely opera house, modernised but has a lovely feel about it. Good views from most seating areas. Lovely bar area on first floor overhanging the street with floor to cieling glass for a great views.

Always a good wee night out at the Grand Opera House. First time in it since the refurbishment. Plenty of concession stands so never had to cue too long for it or the toilets. Even in the gods seats the sound was great and the view was good (not for the faint hearted when you stand up though - but safe!)

Had a great afternoon out at the Panto with family and friends. It’s a Christmas treat every year. The Opera House is gorgeous and so nostalgic, hard to beat as a venue .

Another great experience at the Grand Opera House. Good seats friendly staff, very good pantomime that 8 kids aged 6 to 15 all enjoyed and both adults.

Had a fab night at Dirty Dancing the musical here. Everything is well organised and staff are very helpful and pleasant. There are a range of drinks served at the bars, including spirits, wine, and beer. You can pre-order your drink at the bar for the interval. Just be sure to order at the bar on the floor closest to your seat as the interval goes quickly. You are given a number, and your drink will be waiting for you at the interval.

Fantastic play, 2.2 A Ghost Story! Really great actors and we didn't research the play so had no idea what it was about! Also can I mention, really great prices for a glass of wine! Staff were all really friendly and helpful too 😁

The Grand Opera is a very beautiful & historic building. It was well organised and the staff were very courteous. The interior design is beautiful. We attended the one woman show called Myra's story here last night. Fabulous show 👏 👌.

Fantastic Experience at Christmas Eve pantomime. Whole family thought it was awesome. Wouldn't be the same though without the Dame/Fairy godmother, May McFetridge. So good we booked the straightaway for 2023. Can't wait.

Stunning building and venue overall for any production. Excellent range of shows on throughout the year which are always 5 star. Staff here are excellent and should be commended on their hospitality to guests from the moment they arrive until they leave.

The staff in the Grand Opera House are friendly and very welcoming. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy a drink or cuppa. The renovation is just beautiful. The seats in the auditorium are comfortable and it is an intimate size. Definitely worth going to see a show.

A truly amazing venue for NI Opera's staging of Verdi's La Traviata. Cameron Menzies production was simply breathtaking! What an evening.

The Grand Opera House is a theatre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, designed by the most prolific theatre architect of the period, Frank Matcham. It opened on 23 December 1895. According to the Theatres Trust, the "magnificent auditorium is probably the best surviving example in the United Kingdom of the oriental style applied to theatre architecture". The auditorium was restored to its former glory, and the foyer spaces and bars were reimagined and developed as part of a £12.2 million project in 2020/2021, generously supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

It's been a while since I was at the Opera House, but won't be as long the next time. It has been updated and looks fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and make you feel comfortable. The show "Jersey Boys" was excellent and got the audience up dancing to the music. Definitely worth a visit.

The Scottish Ballet Company were absolutely fantastic, very befitting of such a stunning Victorian setting especially performing the Nutcracker Suite. The Opera House was beautiful, I will be back and will bring my three teenagers, they would love it.

We went to see Jersey Boys at the Grand Opera House and it was outstanding! The building is very beautiful and has a wonderful history which is very interesting. Most definitely worth a visit if you are in the city of Belfast.

A really enjoyable evening watching 'Chicago'. The amazing decor of the Grand Opera House impresses every time. I still recall the 1st time I was here 30 years ago to watch Jack and the Beanstalk, and being absolutely blown away by the Art Noveau design and it still doesn't disappoint. Amazing show too.
