A wonderful location and incredibly helpful staff! Every staff member was friendly, professional, and personable. Even when we arrived close to office closing time, the rangers and staff members went above and beyond to secure our camp spot and answer any questions. They are the best!

A beautiful, tranquil camping site close to the Denver metropolitan area. The rules in place help to keep this place fairly pristine and family friendly. The sites are spacious in the lower loop, but less so in the other loops. I had Lower 066, a beautiful site which was spacious enough for two rigs. The entrance was very muddy due to recent rains, but nothing too traumatic. The site itself is on a hill with a couple of relatively flat parts. I didn’t need to use leveling on my 14 foot trailer. Bigger rigs might have issues though. All in all a great campground with friendly and personable staff.

The RV spots are first-come, first-serve. We paid $22 per night for 2 nights. No hookups although they have a water hose near the restrooms/shower with potable water. We stayed near the end of July and the weather was cooling off a bit so we didn't need to run the generators much. We used the outdoor shower behind the restrooms and it worked fine. At least you have a great view while you're showering off. Good access to Denver and Boulder from here.

A beautiful place to escape from urban life. There's plenty of nature including various types of birds and fish, making it perfect for fishing. They do also have amenities including portable bathrooms, grills and tables.

The views from the campsites are amazing! Being so close to 'civilization' & not fighting the mountain traffic to go camping, makes this park perfect for a quick get away! The staff that we encountered were helpful, kind and personable. The public restrooms are an added bonus. While we were there, fires were allowed ~ so we thoroughly enjoyed having a campfire! Expect lots of mosquitoes (of course) 😣 but enjoy the serenity of the lake & beautiful scenery!

Great Lake operated by Westminster. It can be pricey and a few more rules than you might be used to but it is clean and very pleasant. Nature is abundant. Fishing is okay from the shore near the dam and inlet. Only hand launched craft are currently allowed. Boating ends at 6pm in 2021 so far which kind of sucks for fishing 🤷🏼 other than that it is nice to not be slammed by motor boat wakes due to the rule changes.

Great place. So much fun. So much to do. The nature center is great! Watch out though the day last week talk your ear off but you learn so much and she knows all the secrets to the lake!! Reasonable price for camping and non motor boats. Got to experience it at least once for a full weekend!!

It's a beautiful urban lake and we love that they rent bell tents there, but the teepee rentals of the past are gone. Sunsets are gorgeous here too. We also recently had a great interaction with the gate attendee. While wanting to scope out the campsites and hiking locations, we only needed to spend a few minutes in the park. The attendee was kind enough to allow us in free of charge as long as we were in and out. Of course, we will return many times to rent campsites and on lazy days, their bell tents.

Always a nice place to get out to. So happy to have a place so great in my community. One day I will get to visit the nature center. I always seem to miss them being open. Getting to see the park when the goats is there is fun.

Beautiful spot! Lots of birds. :) Very quiet, too. A lovely place to escape and reconnect with nature.

Beautiful park for a stop to unwind. Picnic tables on the lake, fishing, boating or just chillin

Very pretty campground with easy access to Stanley lake and lake activities. It's also in the middle of Westminster so you're close to all the amenities of a city without feeling like it. There is no power hookups in this campground and we struggled to keep our RV cool on a hot weekend.

The lake is beautiful. Unfortunate for it, its also Westminster drinking supply which brings over regulation and overzealous rangers. So its no longer a place to boat, ski, bbq, but at least we can still rent $50 per hour kayaks. Mike Ziegler always doing his part to enforce the rules like no other. You keep keeping-on and maintain that h20 pH balance we don't need any more help at any other park.

So cool. Had a get together at the tent camping area. It was cool to stay in the tents. There was a large fire pit and grill. The lake was beautiful to look at. They have bathrooms and for a state park were rather clean. Good place to hang out.

The lake is nice but there is very little space to be around, many people go in and out of the water with their boats.

I wasn't terribly impressed. Fire ring, table, flat ground. $35.00. No alcohol Park. No trees. All dirt roads + space. Boating, fishing & open space must be the call.

Camped here for a week. Pretty quiet. The Park Rangers are very helpful and friendly. The park is relatively close to several suburban areas as well as downtown Denver. I would definitely recommend this place.

Nice park with accessibility for free if you dont mind a little walk. I like the bird life here, and its pretty clean for a lake that stays busy with people.

Much better choice of Rangers than last year but still the web and the governmental routines can be devastating!
