Amazing dog park. It can be crowded at popular times but as long as you can find parking it’s big enough you can find less crowded areas. As others have mentioned it’s not securely fenced and even if it was it would be easy for a dog to take off and be out of sight. This is a particularly good spot to get pics of your dogs too. One note I noticed someone posted seeing a rattlesnake. In maybe 10+ years of going to this park I am aware of one instance my dog and I ran into a rattlesnake. It was pretty far back on a trail; I never saw it but I heard it and my dog jumped. It was a relief to know my dog knew not to tangle with one.

Great place for off leash dog trips. Wide open space. Parking is good.

A really amazing place with 400 acres of off-leash open space for doggos. The hangout spot is near the North East parking lot under a massive oak tree, boardered by a usually dry creek that fills up depending on rainfall/snowmelt. Not ideal for anxious owners and helicopter parents.

Huge space! We walked for an hour and we still didn't explore the entire park! You can be off solo with your pup, or in the middle where groups tend to connect. There's about 3 spaces to sit with a bench, one isn't shaded. Many hills, ditches, gravel and rocks. Porta potties at parking lot-only. It's such a wide space, you don't feel crowded with other pll/dogs.

Love this dog park! Dogs need to be semi good off leash because it isn't totally fenced in, like where you would have a gate, is just an opening, but the rest is fenced in to deter dogs. Great large open space to do a leisurely hike, you get some mountain views. If your dogs like to run through the tall grass, there are rattlesnakes in the tall grass during the summer. My dogs love to run in tall grass, so I avoid it in the summer, but if your dogs stay on trail, then I highly recommend year round.

Great place to take your dog all year long. With 500 acres of off leash trails, this doesn’t feel like a dog park. The view of the front range is also beautiful at the west edge of the park and can have some beautiful sunsets!

The pros of this park heavily outweigh the few negative interactions I’ve had. The park is large and well maintained, with interest in keeping the natural fauna and flora healthy. There’s a creek on one side (south, I believe) but it’s totally avoidable if you don’t want wet dogs. As a note: since there’s plenty of space, dogs that may not be as friendly are also walked here. It’s important to have verbal control of your pups for everyone’s safety.

My dog loves this park. Owners are attentive to their dogs. Just be on the lookout for snakes.
