A 'southern place' started by a New Yorker that seemingly hasn't been further south than the financial district. aka It's a very trendy and inviting atmosphere, a good place to meet some friends, but the food is nothing to write home about. Good things - excellent service and staff, attentive to tables and food came out quick, even with the place being slammed. The atmosphere was inviting, the tables aren't too cramped, the bar was lively and luckily without TVs, simple but good decor. The bad - uninspiring food, huge portions a la cheesecake factory but with a southern twist. The fried pickles were tempura battered(??) and sweet pickles and did not hit the spot at all. The chicken and biscuit was bland and didn't have the richness you'd expect from such a dish. I wouldn't suggest this place solely for the culinary experience.

Came here during the soft opening on 11/4/23. The servers were all extremely friendly snd helpful, the atmosphere was great and had a great selection of music playing. The food was all amazing, no complaints. We had the street corn, slow cooked meatballs, classic Mac N cheese, honey chicken, and short rib tacos. All the food came out extremely fast and was delicious. Fried chick was unbelievably juicy. Also it is a large and fairly loud space which makes it great for kids. We had out 2 year old and even with her being a bit loud didn't bother anyone around us. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Also portions were HUGE. I am a big eater but had an entire meal left over! My one complaint is that there was no kids menu which made ordering for my 2 year old a bit tough when all the meals are huge and pricey, ultimately had to get her a huge order of Mac N cheese which was expensive for a child and she barely put a dent in it.

One of the best restaurants in Norwalk and surrounding area, hands down. Huge portions, incredible menu variety, and overall creative + delicious food. The space is colossal, very cozy, and suitable for a casual dinner or an upscale event. Cannot wait to come back often to eat my way through the many menu items!

This restaurant has some of the best chicken I have ever had. Crispy, juicy, tender, the flavors are everywhere. I had the smothered BBQ and my girlfriend had the hot honey. They both slapped something crazy. Open only for a month and this place is a banger. Highly recommended and I can't forget about the pickles. Best pickles I ever had. On my top 5 best restaurants I been too.

Cons: Had to wait 15 minutes for a table at 3:45 on a Friday when the whole restaurant looks like the pictures I attached. Hostess was rude and said, “you’re supposed to have a reservation.” We were then seated at a table that was empty the entire time we waited. I also saw staff standing around in large groups doing nothing multiple times. Pros: The space is beautiful & spacious. The food was also delicious and the service was fast. Our initial not so great experience was turned around. We’ll definitely return.

Great food and large portions. The ambiance is great for a night out with friends or a fun date. I enjoyed my turkey leg entree (recommended by our waiter). Will try the pickles and French Onion soup next time!

We have been HUGE fans of Jacob’s Pickles since dining at the upper west side location and the consistency, quality of the food and the atmosphere at the new SoNo location can’t be beat. Seriously if you love comfort food and good drinks, get out to this place asap! We tried the fried chicken & biscuits, all the pickled varieties, the ribs, Mac & cheese, crab dip, and the Jacob patty melt. 10/10 every time! Staff is amazing, music is great and love the space 👏🏽👏🏽

Great ambience, very comfortable seating which was well spacing between table. Food is very consistent and havve great value for money as the portion of every dishes was very generous. Great service and very good hospitality. Service staff was very well train from host to food runner. We had been to this restaurant several times and still not tired of their dishes as they do have many choices in the menu to choose from. It is our favourite restaurant in Norwalk. Great addition to the Sono Mall.
