Stepping stone is of the best place in Norwalk to take your kids all year round. They have infant 👶 section and toddler section separate. They have energy lab where kids can play with water and Air. They have small Montessori section as well. Magna-tiles, mechanics, puzzles, books, mirrors, dinosaurs, excavation and big auditorium where kids can dance on music. They also organize many activities like story telling, slime making, lot of crafts. My kid enjoys going here.

It costs $18 per person, including children over 1 year old. I didn't see anyone cleaning or sanitizing in 3 hours we spent there. No sanitizing stations. They have a water play area where over 20 kids were putting their hands in and no filtration in the water. It was black and no one changed the water. There is a schedule for activities that were not followed, and the ones that were followed were not all that. For such a beautiful and big place, it is such a waste of space. My daughter did enjoy the area of dinosaurs. The other exhibits were either incomplete or broken. I recommend this place if you just want a place for your kids to run around and be busy exploring, but keep in mind it is unkempt and unsanitary. One last thing, bring your own lunch.

I’m giving a 1 star. Why change what was there before. I literally used to bring my kids every other day. They completely changed everything. I haven’t been there since 2019 but why remove all the construction building and rocks and those little areas of blocks and building stuff after covid happened. Even taking pictures in this little area with a tv and they had tables and a station for cutting papers and crayons. Just everything removed to put just 5 little circle things in the middle of the area, which made it look like some science fair geared to older kids and not even the little kids anymore. I won’t be going anymore even my kids didn’t like it as much anymore as they knew it was, when they were little. *I posted some old pictures *

First time here and it was lovely my son loved everything especially the water Energy Lab. The staff were really nice. Staff member Anthony noticed my son was a little shy and made sure to make him feel at home. My son made a friend and did not want to leave. Thank you stepping stones and thank you Anthony for making my sons birthday a happy memory

My son is three almost four he loved it. We loved the different rooms and the water play and the outdoor space. We went on the day they had a dog visit and the staff did a christmas carol production. We would go back if we are ever in the area again.

We stopped here on an RV trip, so my son (5) could finally run around and touch things. Everyone had a great time. Each room was tons of fun. My son spent most of his time in the energy lab or dinosaur room. We would definitely go back.

I wish I could give 0 stars because of how dirty it was, we have a yearly membership ($200) and 3 months ago i complained to staff how dirty it was, recently i went with my child and found MOLD on the toys they were playing with and im very disappointed. They need to hire better cleaners, I don’t want my child playing where there’s risk of him getting sick (maybe they just don’t care about the complaints they’ve been recieving)

Amazing space for my twins toddlers (3 years old) We didn’t get to all the exhibits. Will definitely go back. Water play areas was great—do be careful floors get wet. Fossil area was fun. There’s a whole multimedia section in the back with a green screen. The tot area is fun too. We noticed a birthday space as well. Food wise the cafeteria has good food. The pizza was solid, wraps, chicken nuggets. I would say “no” to burgers. It’s nice for the kids to play in the outdoor area while eating there.

My kid LOVES this place, especially the water room. It's an amazing interactive kids museum, great place for kids to run around and have fun while learning how the world works. Highly recommended.

I witnessed one of the workers doing the job perfectly fine and a manager comes over and starts a scene. All the worker was doing was providing a welcoming environment for kids drawing cartoons that my kids love . The worker always does the job perfectly fine in energy lab plays with my kids , and makes sure their happy and having a good time . And has a lot of engagement with my kids. Very sad to have witnessed this. Hopefully it never happens again. Being a father my kids really enjoyed the engagement that was provided by this person.

Great place for toddlers and k1-2. Hands on fun that will keep the little ones busy for a few hours. Isn't a huge place, but jam packed with fun. The food is reasonably priced with some healthy choices.

Stepping Stones is a choice place to visit for my kiddos. The environment is educationally enriching, lively and fun. The new setup is a nice change and provides a new level of curiosity and imaginative play for littles. Adults as well learn a few things or retrieve some of their prior knowledge :-) I rated Stepping Stones as 5 stars because they have really upped their cleanliness game since their reopening. There is a cafe as well offering staples as well as healthy variety in their fare. One can always bring their own food to cut costs. Overall it is an enjoyable time and there is no limit to how long you stay which is a plus.

This was fun for the kids. It was very busy around 11/1130 when we got there. They had an Easter egg hunt which was fun for the kids. There was not much hunting, eggs were everywhere. But it's for the kids. Lots of fun motion and energy and lights and color things for them to play with. I had the most fun myself putting the balls into the vacuum where they would then get spit out into a net in the ceiling. Some of the balls popped out so you could catch them if you could catch. The next ball I drop will be my first.

My 3 year old loves the energy lab and the dinosaur fossil digging area. The place isn’t too big but it’s enough to keep them busy for 2 hours. The cafe prices are fair. The staff members are friendly. Only negative is some of the older kids. They can be aggressive and knock over the little ones. The parents don’t seem to care either. They just let them run free and go on their phone to zone out.

Ok Folks here us what ive experienced at this "childrens museum". I have been a member for about 2 years I never had an issue there! My son is 3 years old and of course a curious smart little boy!! So these past two weeks they clearly have been watching my son and reporting ridicoulous things to there managers! Renember he is 3!! Think about you or your kids for a second!! My son took a marker and scribbled on the wall-kid stuff!! He was washing his hands in the art room sink and some water got on the floor. A man slipped which was an accident and i felt terrible about that apologized etc. He was ok ! The cleaning lady amongst some other young kids who work there have also grabbed and yanked and were loud to my son for taking markers! One of the managers Myra decides to call me personally and accuse my son of being on the spectrum! And disruptive!! Also The vice president of ' safety Operations' mike jaccabi decides to call me as well and say the same things she did!! Ive never seen this man or any of these managers ever so clearly again they are attacking my son !! He also accused me of being beligerent with staff and said someone there feels threatened by me. Anyway I spoke to him and of course he took the staffs word over a 3 year olds actions!! Then proceeded to ban me and my son from the museum and the rest of my family as well! Oh and he had a police officer warn me to not go to the museum ot they will arrest me!! These are disgusting and atrocious accusations, They are false and im horrified that a family kids museum treats kids and members this way!! Im sick to my stomach from what this man did to us today!! I hope parents read this and know what they are about!! Also roberts townes who is director of member affairs etc. Never even called me to find out what happened!! People are disgusting and will surprise you!! I have been nothing short of polite to everyone there!! My son bumped his head on there steal bars by the big robot, slipped multiple times in the WATER AREA etc!!! Did i run to everyone !! No one called me about that!! I will continue to spread the word about this place!!

This is not a hotel but I cannot get that to udpate in google but it makes it hard to see the hours and website because it defaults to a hotel! It is a cute children's museum. The dino area was the best and my kid loved the newscaster station!

My reason for 3 stars instead of 4/5, was because of the last experience we had. It seemed OVER crowded and was pure chaos. It was hard for my child to get a chance to do anything, with what appeared to be 6 different bus loads of schools there all at once. It felt poorly planned and a recipe for disaster/losing children (and there sadly was a lost child in the water area for a long period of time before 5/6 police officers went in to take her out/find her parent). I would go again, but I would caution you to check for their busiest days/hours and avoid them. There are a lot of cool and unique things to do while you’re there. I felt most things seemed updated and well put together and my daughter enjoyed what she could get to regardless of how busy.

This place is amazing! Easily able to spend hours there with all the activities. I would highly recommend and if you live near by get a membership for sure.

4 stars for the museum itself. Unique, clean, educational, hands-on fun! The cafes food was awful. The chicken tenders were anything but tender. Dry, chewy and flavorless. Sweet potato fries were soggy and cold.

The security nick, very unprofessional, he wouldn't let me check in, even tho I had my yearly fully paid membership in hand. Very upsetting...

My family and I went to steppingstones because it looked amazing on the website. We drove about 45 minutes or so from Rockland County, New York, just to go there. When we got there, Kerry was at the front desk. She was very sweet and accommodating. She was a delight and helped us out immensely. My son had so much fun and enjoyed every aspect of the museum. We would definitely go back!

I renew my membership every year. I love taking my 2 year old at least twice Week. Keeps him busy and drains his energy enough for me to effortlessly put him to down for his nap lol.

I’m actually very disappointed. I came to this museum many times myself as a child, and this was the first time I brought my young children. So many of the interactions that the kids could play with were either completely broken and not working at all or just kinda not working. You would think that for the price they charge, they would be on top of making sure everything is working correctly. On top of that, we waited 10 minutes in the “gift shop” (if that’s what you want to call it), and they had nobody behind the counter or in the shop itself. We ended up not buying anything and leaving. It’s such a shame how downhill this place has gone since I was a child.

Great place for kids. Crowded during the CT free museums days though. My 18 month old had fun regardless!

-Fun -good outdoor play area -water feature was the best I’ve seen in children museums -they make the best out of the space. -good pre walkers play area. -reasonably priced.

I first came here 12 years ago with my oldest and it's still a great place for little ones. My 2 year old was busy the whole time. I do wish there were more exhibits and that the dinosaur exhibit, which he loved, had a few more dinos. We'll come back again but I wish the adult admission fee was less.

This is a must do item for kids! Such a great experience with soo much to do. We children are 3 years apart and both absolutely loved it! There's water, dinosaurs, lights, interactive everything, great staff, an outdoor fun area with activities galore! Oh and don't even worry about packing lunch they have so many options and reasonably priced. If you're local, grab a membership it's sooo worth it!

Very boring and small. Me and my sisters friends were looking in the mini windows at the cafe and a lady who worked there glared at use through the window and then grabbed tape and a towel and covered the window my sisters friends were sad and upset that someone would do that especially a worker 100% will not be coming back
