Chef’s sushi are TINY and as you can see on the photos fish are thin! And regular sushi rolls are made of minced fish filled with fillers. To too bad experience fish is not so fresh. $16-19 per chef roll is crazy, it’s terrible quality! You get better quality $10 at some place you order home. Very disappointed. It’s NOT the place for sushi. Maybe for the cocktails cause drinks are good. One of the worst sushi experiences.

Got delivery (UberEats) from Oishi Sushi & Izakaya. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the sushi tasted delicious and was very fresh. Especially liked the Main Street roll. Appreciated the ability to substitute brown rice. Echoing some of the other reviews, the rolls were on the smaller side, so if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck when it comes to quantity, this may not be the best place for you. I also appreciated the way they packaged the food, with the hot items in a separate bag than the room temp rolls.

Our favorite sushi spot in Norwalk. My daughter and I love the calamari, shrimp gyoza and eel and avocado rolls. Pair your meal with plum wine for the ultimate sweet and savory combination.

Oishi is one of our favorite restaurants in Norwalk. Has to be some of the best sushi in Connecticut, with great prices and fantastic value. Good variety as well. We like to get the sushi deluxe and a few other items. The food is always amazing and we love sitting by the sushi bar to watch the chefs work. Fish is always fresh and cut to order for every roll or piece.

Food was on point! Staff were super friendly! Although they did not serve chicken Tempura they still had a wide variety of choices! Lastly, if your looking for great Sake this place could just satisfy those needs!

Enjoyed a nice lunch here with my partner today after strolling in. We were quickly seated for lunch and the staff was quite attentive. The food was pretty well priced and tasty. I ordered the sushi deluxe which has a very nice mix of different sushi that were all well-prepared and portioned. My partner had two rolls and then the steak teriyaki. Great fare for sushi in Norwalk and would heartily recommend!

I came here for dinner with my boyfriend and was excited to see all the options they had, sushi and other appetizers. The place is smaller with a very cool feel and set of decorations. We were seated and helped immediately and our server was extremely nice. There were so many small plates that looked good that my boyfriend and I basically made a meal out of them. Everything was delicious, I only give it 4 stars because some of the portions were a little small for the price, but amazing none the less. Parking is on the street, but we were able to go to a small lot nearby and walk over.

Tasty sashimi omakase! The quality of the fish and the various cuts were all flavorful and fresh. The service was absolutely fantastic and accommodating. The only small nit pick is that the sashimi slices were a bit smaller than I've seen in some other places, but overall a strong recommend

Delicious and authentic food with great service! One of the few places to get bao buns and den den noodles! Highly recommend the duck bao buns - the steamed bun is unique with a toasted bun!

I have never ate in Oishi restaurant before. So last week I decided to treat myself with sushi lunch takeout. The sushi was tasty, I ordered lunch special with salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. The problem is that the fish was possibly not the raw food grade, and had parasites in it, because in another few hours I got violently sick with no#2. The next day I still woke with very sharp pain in my stomach and nausea. I will never eat in this restaurant again. I would be scared to get another food poisoning. The staff was really nice, and I didn't have to wait for my order. It took them maybe 5 mins.

My husband and I stopped here to eat on our way to New York. The service, the food, the drinks were all phenomenal. We can't wait to go back and visit for another meal. Extremely clean, prompt and affordable.

Service was amazing! Prices are high but we expected that and the have a great happy hour drink deal. Sushi was good, not the best we ever had for the price, but still very good. Definitely worth returning to.

Delicious fresh sushi with a wide variety of menu items, wonderful, friendly, attentive service. Nice decor, music, and sports in a large screen. Love this place!!! Food is FRESH and delicious sashimi, sushi roll options fantastic/ creative, and many hot dish choices too. Can't wait to go back again!! 10 STARS Love Oishi! We went here tonight for the first time to celebrate our wedding. Sushi was amazing and the owner came to our table and celebrated with us. We will be back for sure.
