We had my daughter’s 4th birthday party at the South Shore Natural Science Center in March 2016. I could not have been more impressed with the facilities. The Vine Hall is a great space that you can rent for events, with large windows that provide a scenic view of the outside, and you can use to put removable decorations. The staff are excellent and very helpful - I can’t say that enough. They asked me how I would like the tables and had the room set up for me to decorate. The kids arrived and did crafts and coloring pages. All guests visit the Eco zone museum and took a walk outside to see the animals. It was a nice day and my daughter's pinata was hanged on the tree. Everyone had a great time and things worked perfectly. As a courtesy, the staff in charge read an awesome book for the kids. Every one was engaged. I recommend the Vine Hall for any one that’s hosting an event. And just to keep in mind they allow you to serve alcohol. On their website click on GROUPS and you can choose from the different birthday party packages they offer. I personally, prefer to do my own party, and I love doing that! I checked out all lot of places to rent, and I found the Vine Hall the most suitable in terms of space and natural beauty. I did a Butterfly Themed party and there could not have been a better place to host it. It came out beautiful! Thank you South Shore Natural Science Center!

I love the Science Center! In fact, we're here again when we just came to the Corn Festival on Saturday. The kids love seeing the animals and playing with their outdoor action center and music area. I love the nature trails and all the events they out together. If you have kids, this is a great place to be (not to mention it's free to all YMCA members!).

Daughter loves nature and we went for an animal encounter event on her birthday. They let her feed the animals and it was a descent price to for the whole family to go in. Nice walking trails and very friendly staff.

The kids Enjoy the Corn Festival, we got tickets online and they will give you the physical ticket once your there and you can buy Corn on the cob, apple cider Juice, there was a Two Trucks one had Ice cream and the other one sweet treats dough and Ice cream. I have posted a picture of the menu. It was a good small event but lots of people lines are long and you have to park outside on the side of the road if the parking lot gets full. It was a good event but long lines for the activities. We are part of the South Shore YMCA so we wanted to contribute and attend to show support. It was our first year. It was a nice time for the kids. If your looking for a dessert kind of food they have it but a lunch for the kids you wont find it they had corn muffin, corn chowder, which I regreat not buying. You can bring your own lunch and snacks and have a picnic with the kids there is plenty of space to sit. I would do it again but only if I go more prepared with a Lunch or snack for the kids..

Great place for kids. Great hiking and easy for kids to do. Also a cute garden kids made. A music area and a place to explore and this cute ribbon window there. Indoor closed but outdoor open. Great nature walks where kids can explore.

This property is amazing. Beautiful grounds and trails that are super educational and accessible for kids and families as well as a great place for a walk and a picnic for adults. The EcoZone inside the main building is a ton of fun with lots of cool animals (mostly turtles at the moment but so many different kinds!) and information about our local ecosystem. There's a beautiful garden outside that you can walk through and enjoy and there's an owl and a hawk behind the building that are very awesome to observe (quietly). They host a number of fun programs and events throughout the year and they run an amazing nature-based preschool program. There's truly something for everyone here! PS there's a South Shore Quest here that's a lot of fun :)

First visit was today for the corn festival. This place is loaded with family fun. Kids had blast, actually not a thing I could complain about. Pricing was reasonable, four hours and we spent about $50, with which we got some food and drinks, a pony ride, a hay ride, some pumpkins and more. Property is gorgeous and the people were so very friendly. We will go back.

Kids had a good time for maple day. Pancakes and sausage with maple syrup. Maple flavored popcorn. Scavenger hunt. Maple taping a tree. Enjoyed our morning. Thank you.

This isn't a museum anymore, I'm trying to get Google to stop listing it as such. I'm sure it's lovely as a preschool, though
