A good selection of cocktails and a friendly welcome. The bar is decorated in an interesting way, it almost looks like a dungeon. LGBT Friendly πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

πŸ–€ Love this place, It looks so amazing. Friendly staff , and on the odd occasion, I've had food and it's been good πŸ™‚ I usually call in when I visit Nottingham for a gig. And the, ' Library ' downstairs brings a new meaning to.....' Read the room ' .....πŸ˜†πŸ€£ ( If you know, you know πŸ˜‚) πŸ–€πŸ˜ŽπŸ¦‡πŸ’€πŸ–€

The place is so different from most in Nottingham City. Good variety of drinks...7 sins cocktails and shots. The food was filling yummy, wouldn't be my go to, but satisfied me. Lots of space to eat, chat and hang out any day of the week. There is a downstairs area just like a dungeon, so many little alcoves and good luck with finding the toilet! You've got to visit the Pit if in town.

Well I wasn't expecting that ! Felt like I'd walked into a medieval castle . The place has secrets in every corner, hidden toilets behind books and paintings of interesting characters around the walls . The staff are all interesting people , the drinks and found menu are varied . Total experience

Really cool aesthetic, quite gothic and the menu is themed around sins and legends, and it looks like an old book too. We went on a week day around 8pm/9pm ish so a lot quieter. The toilets are hidden behind a bookcase which is really cool. I had 2 drinks, one was sloth and one was lust. Sloth was like a milky coffee with whipped cream and lust was a fruity, coconutty drink (lust was definitely the one I preferred but both nice). Only thing I would say if youre going and want your money's worth just ask for less ice so you get more drink. The pictures below are my drinks and a picture of the loo purely because someone put googly eyes on it and found it quite funny 🀣

Very cool aesthetic, with a fun menu and drinks offers. Sadly, many of the food items were unavailable, the app didn't register the cocktail offers, and the WiFi cut off at the worst possible moment, meaning they charged money without registering the order. The staff were unable to sort the situation, and merely suggested that we try ordering again. Unfortunate. Wouldn't come back unless they improve their WiFi and/or system for ordering food.

It wasn't my first visit but sincerely must say the best one. Today popped in here twice before Iron Maiden's concert. Trendy crowds, lots of metal heads, good sort of ales and lagers and metal music. So what to expect more here? Next time will try their food. Haven't been here for a while so I had funny experience looking for toilet. Finally I found it. Hopefully I won't forget where this hidden treasure is. Started coming here quite regularly with friends when come to Nottingham.

Don't be put off by the outside, looks like any normal pub. Once inside, the interesting stuff starts, gothic horror interior. Downstairs has alcoves and displays. The cocktails are original and the names blend well with the theme. A definite must go to just for the atmosphere. Oh, the toilets are hidden!!!

Great atmosphere, really relaxed. Good selection of beers. Bar staff are pretty slow and have no idea who was stood at the bar first. Pretty basic bar staff skills are missing which is a shame.

I adore this place. At first it was for the atmosphere and it helps that there are some really good drinks too (thanks for the Elvis juice and lilleys cider!) but after visiting for a while we tried the food menu and found that it was really good. Both for taste and value. The meatballs are so good and the hottest chicken wings on offer actually have heat to them which is nice as so many places claim to have spicy wings but they don’t come close to these wings. To top it all off the Staff have always been friendly and helpful. An all round great experience and I’ll continue to come back time and again.

Perfect place for any rock, horror, or goth fan. Secret FYI, the loo’s are downstairs hiding behind the book case wall. Went here before a rock city gig on the recommendation of other people, and it was full of others going / seems like the place to go before if your here for a rock gig. Good food, good selection of beers, and for any rock fan they belt out absolute tunes. Will come here whenever I’m back to visit rock city. 5*

Best pub to go to honestly. It’s way to underrated for how detailed every corner and how exciting every drink is. Nothing like the usual definitely a pub to visit if you’re eager to try something new when going for a few drinks. AND PLEASE PLEASE GO TO THE TOILET IF U GO HERE.

Me and my sisters came here to continue the wake of our Uncle. All the staff were amazing, the decor is to die for, the music is definitely our taste (rock/metal). We had several pitchers of the seven deadly sins and the food was spot on. We had an amazing time, we spent about 6 hours here. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is different or fancies a change of scenery to a traditional pub/restaurant.

A great pub. Staff are friendly, prices are great, and it has a really well done horror theme. What's not to love.

I love this pub and the atmosphere is great. The cocktails are great and the staff are friendly. We decided to have a dessert as we had already had a main meal somewhere else and the desserts were delicious. The vibe between weekdays and weekends are so different but still so fun.

Great place with an awesome atmosphere, and great music for a metal head/goth. Took my friend who is neither of those and even she loved the architecture and atmosphere. Food was really good and very well priced. Staff were very friendly and so apologetic that the fire alarms were being tested, will definitely be going here again.

An amazing place. Wheelchair friendly even if it is a bit tight getting round. The locals were more than happy to get out the way with many offers of help. Staff were brilliant and the food, well. I've eaten in a fair few pubs but I have to say the pit and the pendulum have put the others to shame. Food was served in good time, nicely presented, and hot. On such a cold day it was a delight. Would highly recommend a visit. If u seriously want a warm welcome and home made grub, don't miss this place. Prices were fantastic. Would definitely go again. Disabled friendly.

This pub is brilliant.the atmosphere and staff are great. Food menu has something for everyone at reasonable prices. Love the cocktails. Love going for a quiet meal during the day. The night life and music there are also very good. It has upstairs and downstairs. The theme of this pub is awesome and being a rocker I fit right in! Toilets are clean. Personally I prefer downstairs to upstairs but either way it's probably my favourite pub in nottingham.

A great place, first time I have visited. The bar has two floors. Great atmosphere and finding the toilets is interesting. I won't spoil it. Be a great place to add to a night out. Drinks were great too.

It's a gothic themed rock pub which has a jukebox or a DJ depending on what time you go. It's open late, is always a laugh and everyone's pretty friendly. Big enough so you can get a table even at busy periods. It also has seven deadly sins themed cocktails if that's your thing. The best metal bar outside of London I've come across especially when the DJ is playing on Friday and Saturday nights.

Large pub with gothic theme. Rock music plays while unique cocktail concoctions are served to the patrons. Seating available at ground and downstairs level. Good experience

Such a unique venue and important part of the vibe of our city centre. Brilliant gothic stylings, rock soundtrack, fun themed cocktails, great selection of beers on tap and bottled with an always satisfying food menu to choose from. Has a fantastic 'hidden' bookcase entrance to the toilet's that still confuses me every time I go (in a good way!). Awesome staff and the manager is a legend! Very down to earth and welcoming vibe considering it's central location. Recommended.

This pub is amazing. It's got the friendliest staff of any pub I've met. They're relaxed, they're happy, or at least, they look like they're pretending less than the average pub worker does (speaking from experience). The music isn't too loud. The two bars are good. Event spaces are great. Only issue is the toilets are downstairs and not really accessible, but they've done the best with what they have.

Have always had a really enjoyable time and felt very welcomed each time I've been. Excellent atmosphere in this place and makes for golden moments shared with friends. Food is pretty great too! Would recommend a visit if you're in Notts and looking for a place to go; interesting interior and one to put on your map.

Beautiful venue! Always wanted to visit here ever since I heard of it, years ago. Finally got the opportunity to once I started working in Nottingham. And I was not disappointed! The team, drinks and decor - all amazing!
