You will not be disappointed. From the very moment you walk in itโ€™s a 5 star service. The staff are superb. The food is excellent. Top class service. Not too pricey given the experience you have. Genuinely can not recommend this place enough - an absolute gem in Nottingham. Anyone that gives a negative review needs to give their heads a wobble. Went in for lunch and was so impressed went back in for night drinks. Go as soon as you can ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Lovely breakfast, pleasant setting, polite staff. Adding a service charge to a simple breakfast for 2 was a bit of a liberty as service wasn't overly impressive or speedy, but, that's more of a comment than a complaint.

Lovely food here, good service and a nice bar. Great little seating area outside if you just want a drink after work.

This is a 5 star review, not for the food, indeed, the steaks were sadly overcooked (no doubt because it was both the hottest day ever in the UK and very busy at the same time), but how the staff dealt with the problem - they were nothing short of exceptional and while I don't know the Manager's name, I'm calling out the way she and her team worked and it deserves praise. Overall the food was a 4 out of 5, prices are not cheap, but not dear, a good balance and we will certainly go back next time we're in town - wholeheartedly recommended.

Always a lovely place to eat. The menu is varied with vegan and vegetarian options. The waiting staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Browns is a bit more up market, so expect to pay prices to match, but you're paying for high standards of food and service.

my parents, partner and i went for breakfast last sunday, we were served by raf, reka and khrystyna, despite the restaurant being busy the service was amazingly attentive ! the staff were all very friendly, helpful and provided excellent breakfast recommendations for myself, a fussier eater. we particularly enjoyed the coffees from the bar and the breakfast pancakes were also a huge hit. the restaurant was very neat & tidy & we will definitely be back soon !

Weโ€™ve been a few times now and itโ€™s always lovely. This time was no exception. The interior is so inviting! The main-manager was so accommodating and couldnโ€™t do enough to ensure we had a great time. Amazing cocktails and food!

An absolutely fantastic place for a nice meal out, special occasion and the birthday girl was made to feel very special. Food was fantastic, chef special Surf and Turf, lobster and fillet steak super and recommended.

The food was delicious and good value for money, we had the festive menu. Not so great: the wine - white, wasn't chilled at all, it was warm and came after our starters. The location of our table wasn't great either- it was too close to the front door so we really felt the cold and draft every time someone opened the door. The table was a tad small for 6 people, we felt a bit squashed. Having said that, the quality of the food made up for it. Would definitely come back again outside the festive period.

Finlay treated us like family, his smile, charm and charisma made our experience such an enjoyable Sunday lunch, the food was great but the service was even better, makes want to bring family and friends.

Pre theatre dinner, had a genuinely lovely meal. A warm welcome, top service received, must mention Ilyas, he went through all the menu option's. Definitely recommended, we'll be back to try a few more dishes off the menu. Thank you.

Sublime food, lovely decor, and impeccable service from Mya last night. My only criticism is the music was a tad loud and the fan could have been turned down. I forgot to photograph our desserts but the crumble and stem ginger ice cream was delectable ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

We enjoyed a very yummy brunch for my husband's birthday. He had steak and eggs which he said was cooked perfectly. I had the panchetta maple pancakes which I enjoyed except they weren't very hot and the syrup was cold. Would have liked the syrup warmed. The coffee was very nice. The service was very good.

First time at Browns it was everything I expected and more, I made a mistake with my booking, though I had booked a Festive afternoon tea, but it was for a Festive lunch, but the wife like the look of the normal menu which turn out to be a great choice

Great place and a regular favourite after work. Refurbished recently and looks great, but we miss the Moretti! Most recent visit was for breakfast on 23/12. We were left waiting outside until 5 past 9 then informed we should have booked as they were very busy. Our group of 6 had the place to ourselves for the whole time we were there. Food is good, but plates should be warmed to ensure it can be enjoyed hot.

Our waitress was fabulous, really looked after us well, was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our food and drinks. The negative was that we were cold sitting at our original table and asked to move which wasn't originally answered positively and we had to ask again. The table we were moved to was better, but we still weren't really warm.

It was a terrific breakfast experience! After we entered, we went to the reception counter and we were seated quickly. The decoration in the restaurant is stunning! The whole place radiates elegance. The menu was distilled, easy to read through without comprimising on the number of breakfast options. We selected the eggs royale and the vegan breakfast. They were very delicious. The order process was well thought-out. Staff were accomodating and speedy. They also inquired about food allergies! We have no qualms whatsoever about recommending Browns Nottingham to anyone!

Christmas meal for 8. Was very busy but enjoyed drinks in the bar before our table was ready. We were served by Martha, who was great. Professional and accommodating but with a good sense of fun. Food was very goodS unfortunately, the four Sunday lunches came out at best warm. Martha had them Replaced without the fuss and the replacement meals were piping hot. Overall, we all enjoyed our afternoon and will return.

Attending Browns for a Christmas Dinner with my wife. Tldr: The food was fantastic, but the atmosphere was lacking and the live music timing was moved. We have attended Browns a few times before over the years for different events and decided for it as the Christmas date night for my wife and I. We specifically booked after 7 on a Sunday as we were told that live music would be played after that time and we wanted that ambience (we have been before when piano music was playing). When we got there we found that the live music had ended at 7, so we had booked later for no reason. Instead of the quiet and romantic evening we planned, the venue was very very bright, loud music was playing and although the staff were attentive we felt it lacking. The wine was very expensive for what it was (you expect a 40 quid bottle to be more than 1 year old and not a screw top, at least), and looked, smelled, and tasted like a 7 quid bottle from Tesco. The food was amazing, we had the festive menu and it was splendid. The portion sizes were good too. I would mark it 6/10 for the night we expected. But we may return if loud and bright is needed (like a friends night out meal for example) but definitely not a romantic time.

Visit quite regularly but the experience has upped since the refurbishment (as if it was possible to get better). The drinks menu is still amazing and I tipped the bartender for tailoring them to my specific taste when ordering, without issue and to perfection. Food is also amazing (contrary to some negative reviews Iโ€™ve seen). Champagne is also reasonably priced and up-charged given how beautiful the venue is and the level of service. Should defo be on your list if youโ€™re looking for a refined, relaxed and well served evening.

Our server was really great, remembered small details and very friendly! Drinks were very well made (we had lots of cocktails as celebrating!) Camberet starter was delicious, crab and prawn linguine could have had a bit more flavour - otherwise food was lovely, definitely recommend as a restaurant for special occasions!

We went here for afternoon tea. Unfortunately, their website only allows you to book a table, and not say what you are coming for. This meant that we were given evening meal menus and a too small table. This was sorted, and we told them what teas we wanted. Unfortunately, the only leaf tea that they had available was Earl Gray. They had no supplies if the leaf English Breakfast Tea. The tea was a little slow in arriving, and we had all finished it before the sandwiches, cakes & scones arrived. It was at this stage that the waitress realised that it wouldn't fit on our table and we had to move. The quality of the tea (food & drink) was excellent. The quantity was just right, and the mix of flavours perfect. My only other comment was that we asked for water and were not given the option of tap or bottled. We only noticed later that most of the other tables had carafes of tap water on them, with lemon. We were given plenty of time, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was wonderful. When we got the bill, I was surprised to see that a 20% Service Charge had been added. I would certainly recommend Brown's for Afternoon Tea.

We turned up on spec and were pleased to be found a seat with no hassle even though they appeared quite busy. The menu provided a varied choice, more adventurous than lunchtime offerings by many of their competitors. Service was prompt and professional. The meals were very good, especially at this price level, as too were the house wines that we had. The only small negatives were the wait to be seated, no one acknowledged us for a while and when we were seated the table was uncomfortably close to a till/order station. However, once we asked if we could sit somewhere else we were shown to a much better position.

Since the revamp and presumably a new head chef Browns has been Excellent! Utterly consistent. We've been there for breakfast and lunch now and they were both fantastic.

We had a lovely dinner at Browns Nottingham last night. The scallop starter was beautiful, perfectly cooked scallops with some crispy pancetta and a silky mash. The crispy squid was also very tasty and not at all oily. The fillet was very soft and well cooked. Desserts were a bit hit and miss. The pineapple in rum sauce was tasty and a lovely fresh and light way to end a meal. The profiteroles on the other hand were a bit disappointing. Really just tasted like cream. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the venue is nice although cutlery/tables a bit of a let down. Tables quite scratched and the cutlery was not all clean, which considering the price is disappointing. Overall, an enjoyable evening and I would certainly go back for the scallops and steak!

As always, Browns never disappoints! I have ordered the salmon and lentil. It was well prepared and well presented. Like always, the staff was so friendly and professional. The service was perfect. I will definitely be back !

If you try to book a table at this polished establishment you'll be greated by an automated service, who declined my time request. I walked to the restaurant on the off chance of a table. The place was half empty and loosing Business... The staff were fine and the brunch average.. There are better options in town but if you're after a little pretence for surroundings and average food (not bad, not great), then this is the place for you. If a restaurant can't be asked to answer the phone in person why bother. I did out of curiosity having been to a Brown's years ago.. Wouldn't bother again. Ps - tomatoes were not good, probably sat under a heat lamp all morning, nothing fresh about them..
