A terrible experience from checking in till checking out. At first they did not have our reservation, which i had booked months in advance.Receptionist had to call head office to confirm with the booking number I had..with breakfast included.. The room was fine, however, no air conditioning- they had a portable fan: the lighting was awful and had to sleep with windows open hearing an ac unit running, obviously not our room!. They renovated 3-4 houses into a hotel and have multi levels where you would have to carry luggage up..we were there only for one night so we managed. The next morning we expected breakfast as were getting on the road quickly, however they did not have us on the list for inclusive breakfast..their price is 10 pounds pp. As they were once again checking with HO, we gave up and checked out...No apologies at any time, poor service, terrible room, and will never set foot in Nottingham again.

Economic migrants standing around the entrance on their smart phones (as they all do), scruffy looking, giving us nasty looks, very off putting. How many are there? Will they be next to us? We know nothing about these people and what crimes they may have committed in their home countries. Do your research BEFORE you book anywhere, no where is safe, not even a 4 star hotel! Shame on Best Western for taking an easy buck while housing these potentially unsafe men.

Very good hotel in walkable distance from the centre. Free parking available. Room was large and very clean with everything you could want in there including iron and ironing board and additional heating and cooling appliances. Lovely extra large comfortable bed in our room. Staff were polite and attentive and rates were reasonable. A large chain but with individuality in their hotels.

This was the second stay at this hotel in the last 4 months. On both occasions we found the hotel, the staff and the food to be excellent. If you need anything doing it is done near enough within a few minutes, or if you need directions it is explained clearly. The rooms are comfy with en-suite bathroom, which are decorated nicely. The check in took a matter of a minute or two and check out was a question of just giving in our door pass. All in all the stay was very enjoyable and will be revisiting in the future.

The bed is very comfortable, room very spacious, good size shower not much water pressure but adequate, parking on site. Staff friendly and professional, however the room we where in the lift only goes to first floor then you have two more sets of stairs to get to the room. Only other thing that really lets down this hotel is how busy the road is outside its like your staying next to the A1 extremely busy .

Only stayed one night but we were very impressed. The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent choice of food for breakfast. The staff were brilliant;helpful and professional. The town centre is just a short bus ride away. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to our friends

Food was good at restaurant and at breakfast (even though they'd run out of kippers) We upgraded to King room (#327), but were surprised that it was hard flooring and no carpet, which made it cold and noisy. Not very clean - small rugs and corridors clearly hadn't been hoovered recently. Bright green paint on parts of walls reminded me of student accomodation. Bed was superb though. Shower was useless. No power making it very difficult to wash shampoo from hair. If that's the upgraded room I'd hate to see the standard. However, when we mentioned the shower on the Sat am on check out the receptionist was incredibly rude, just laughing over my wife and not taking our complaint at all seriously. Spoilt our stay big time. Needs re-training as I've stayed in many hotels but never received such rudeness before.

Very clean hotel. Lovely large room, very happy at first until we realized no heating. Maintenance man came up to fix but no joy. Went away saying would bring us a heater but never returned. Reception gave us no joy saying we could change rooms and never got back to us. Food was fantastic Friday and a bit of a let down Saturday evening due to all the fuss with a private party. Never had such a cold weekend. So disappointed

We had a very comfortable stay in an up-graded room. I specifically asked for a quiet room and this one was at the back of the hotel and silent! Everyone was helpful and kind and there was nothing to grumble about apart from the alarm clock going off at 1.3O and the internet was difficult in the room. The restaurant was fine and the staff very helpful. We will look for this brand in the future and stay here again.

Excellent staff, location and accommodations. Be wary of the access to rooms (a lot of stairs and levels to maneuver so maybe unsuitable for young children or adults with difficulties with steps). Our room was beautiful, perfect for a family of 4 and bathroom in particular was very well decorated and suitable. Breakfast was delicious and a great selection -great value! Overall a wonderful short break hotel away from the busy city but only a few stops on the bus!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, just the one night after attending a show. Parking was good we could see our car from the room and lounge. we had a drink in the bar and breakfast both of which were very good. There was a wide selection for breakfast. On leaving reception we were offered a homemade cookie for our journey home which was a very nice touch, well for the children when we got home. Also the rooms were a nice temperature not too hot.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The decor was good. The size of the room was what we needed as a family of 4, two adults two children we booked the standard twin and had 2 double beds which was perfect. It was a very hot weekend and air con would have been a bonus, we did ask front desk for an extra fan and we received it. The Shower was amazing and powerful, there was an iron and ironing board in the room which always helps. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of selection.
