Booked same day and was still good value as a spur of the moment decision to stay. Reception were nice and efficient. Rooms were on point as you know what you get with a Premier inn....comfy bed and clean room. Did not stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. Get location virtual in the centre of Nottingham only 5 min walk .

The hotel was perfectly located a few minutes walk from town centre, and yes it is a bit worn on the inside we were very comfortable. The tram is outside but it’s not intrusive at all. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and the breakfast staff spoiled my girls, they were so sweet. We will definitely be staying again. The room was warm yes but we put a jug of ice in front of the fan and it was cooler in minutes. Thank you for our lovely stay. Xx

Very good all round Food is great, servicing the room has dropped to on request. And for me little things like a cuppa first thing while catching up on email and minutes from meetings before going for a great breakfast is a routine and having to first go to reception, and doing a Olivia act at 06AM is not great. But still that's just me.

Reception staff are very unprofessional. Room did not get cleaned two days running despite following ALL procedures. When complaint was made staff response was ”who did you tell? I wasn't on reception yesterday” One day I would accept as a mistake but the second day, after being promised it would be cleaned, is totally unacceptable. Reception staff member who made the promise even went as far as to imply I'd made it up. Manager claimed to have no authority to refund or compensate. You have to go online, well we will be. This was for a family room with two kids so cleaning is essential. Cleaning staff were super nice and told me they hadn't been notified by reception to clean the rooms. Sort yourselves out, it's not that difficult surely. Worst hotel experience I ever had and totally avoidable.

My 87 year old parents have been staying there this week. Unfortunately my father had a serious medical emergency and an ambulance had to be called. I cannot praise the hotel staff enough for the care and attention they payed my mother. A member of staff sat with her till I arrived this morning. They made her a hot drink and were just as attentive as they could possibly be. Absolutely first class customer service. We as a family will be forever grateful I honestly think my mothers mental state would have been frail without them. My father is on the mend so it a happy ending and the premier inn staff had a lot to do with that . THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊

Stayed here on 28th January. Supposed to be a quiet night, (as advertised) but far from it! There are fans at the back of the hotel that are on from 6am until 10pm. The room above us had an all night party! Could not change rooms as fully booked. Would never stay there again as far to noisy!

Very nice hotel. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great night's sleep and the breakfast was perfect. It's in a good location, trams run past very frequently so it's easy to get around and you are within walking distance of the town centre.

Chose this hotel due to its location which was close to where I needed to be and it appeared to be the best value PI in Nottingham city centre. It's on the edge of the city centre and less than 10 minutes walk into the centre. Rooms were fairly standard PI rooms and non the worse for that, although ours seemed a bit gloomy due to small windows, although it was a rainy day too. Excellent bed, slightly weak shower. Service all round was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine and fairly good value at £7.99/£9.99 continental/cooked. There are vending machines in reception but at £2.30 for a small bottle of water seemed a bit expensive and card payments were not working.

This was a last minute booking that had to be done, and I arrived after 1am needing a place to stay. The hotel amazingly had free rooms and was not too expensive. The bed was super comfy too. Only issue that was faced was understanding the only trams roads surrounding the hotel whi h was not clearly signed. Apart from that no issues with the actual hotel

All in all, it's a standardised premiere in experience, you know what you're getting and they delivered. Bring earplugs! Pros were: Comfy bed Nice staff Great location Negatives were: No air con to cool the room, only heat Loud guests/location I would say it seems to be heavily used as a base for those visiting to get drunk so expect the other guests to be loud at night and in the morning. Of course you can't blame the staff or the venue for the customers as the staff were very nice. The car park is expensive at £20 per day but a multistory just down the road was £10 a day so opted for that. Great location in the city with easy access to the tram, train station and everything else. Nothing wrong with the breakfast, but as there is Weatherspoons on your door step it is cheaper and less busy to go there. All in all, I got what I expected and enjoyed my stay, the best thing about it is by far the location.

Premier Inn, Premier experience. A bit of rumbling from the trams going past, which we quickly became used to. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast definitely delicious. Add in the location and it was perfect for our half-term break.

No air conditioning just a small fan which was useless . Bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned water pressure for shower wasn't too good but idont know if that was maybe to do with water shortish in England. The only good thing was it was really handy for trams which were really regular. I won't be staying in a Premier Inn again it was quite expensive too which if it had been cheaper I probably would go back but not at prices they charged you would expect to get better. The staff also closed the bar at 11pm even though we were all sitting there saying that was the time they closed

We as a family have been massive supporters of Premier Inns for many years, they were 9 times out of 10 our "go to" However I was disappointed with the overall quality of this PI. The staff were helpful & friendly. But after that we were disappointed with the room. They've become shabby, dirty & lacked final finish. The beds which have always been superb, sagged in the middle. The bathroom, had marks & stains on the walls & doors. More seriously, my wife actually slipped falling out of the bath about 4 yrs ago whilst staying in a PI in Lincoln. My wife is now awaiting a hip operation & gaining access & more importantly exit from the bath with its high sides & the bathroom floor level being considerably lower than the bath is dangerous. We did breakfast. Again I love their food, but the restaurant was a bit too small for the size of the hotel. The quality lacked, fried eggs were overcooked, so we went for poached eggs but had to wait 20/25mins. Great when they arrived but the sausages which were always my favourite were simy awful, undercooked & skins I was unable to cut through. Bacon, beens, hash browns & tomatoes fine. Would I use this hotel again, NO. I will use PI again but they need to up their game.

Wifi non existent. Rooms hot, but they did provide a fan. Towels didn't dry, made the room smell wet. Could never find staff when i needed them. Got told they were busy. Breakfast wad standing around waiting for them to bring food out, then fighting with half a dozen other people that were waiting as well. This place was really good last year when we stayed, but unfortunately, not this time

Good location to visit my daughter at Nottingham Trent. The only downside is the frequent rumblings of the trams which pass the front of the building. I had a room at the front. But I generally sleep after 11 pm when the trams stop anyway. In the mornings though the trams are supposed to start at 7am, but I was awoken by one just after 6am. But I would still use this hotel when I visit my daughter again, because of its location.

The location of this hotel is very central, however on arrival the room temp was 29 degrees, when I put the fan that was supplied in the room on, a plume of dust was blasted across the room as the fan had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. The staff were very responsive to this and cleaned it very quickly, however the Ievel and standard of cleanliness was very poor, as dust and rubbish was evident both under the bed and around the ledges. A very uncomfortable sleep due to there being no way of reducing the heat in the room, only the fan to move the hot air around, as a result found myself retiring to the car at 3.30am for a sleep as it was simply not possible to sleep comfortably. Not ideal when you have a 7 hour drive ahead of you. Beds were comfortable but again, torn bedsheets on the bed. Just overall a very poor experience and will not be booking this hotel again, as it simply did not provide the sleep, environment or level of cleanliness expected. A very disappointing experience for a business visit to Nottingham and already struggling to keep my eyes open. Very sad to give this feedback, however, reception staff great, just the rest of the service and room environment well below standard.

This is what I expect from a Premier Inn hotel. Good size room, with a decent bathroom. Good location near Nottingham centre. No airco in the room so it is quite warm on hot days. The window opens so at least some air. Good bed and a good night sleep. No noise from outside nor neighbours. The Nottingham tram stops outside which is very convenient.

Family room is huge. But tram lines all over. It was difficult to find the entrance & we are scared to get into a Tram only road. Otherwise good. Lots of eating places within 10 mins walking.

Friendly staff food was very good not as much choice as I would have liked, but they really set up for a night to two nights stay so for those kinds of stays ok. Breakfast was Great buffet style

I regularly stay here. Comfortable, clean, efficient but a lot of street noise in the morning and I would like to open the window a bit more.

Loved it here, staff are amazing and so helpful, reece at the coffee bar went out of his way to give me a lovely cup of tea, I just really enjoyed the staff the made my stay all the more enjoyable. Well done premier inn 👏

No air con in room despite having a control panel on the wall lol, not even a fan and only able to open the window a couple of cms. No fridge either, really lacking in basic facilities in the room. Staff were very friendly and it is handy with the city centre in walking distance and trams on the doorstep.

I would not stay here again. No air conditioning (as advertised) but the rooms are poorly ventilated, so if you’re too warm at night then you’re stuck. The desk fan they’d left in the room was not helpful. That aside, the room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Compared to other Premier Inns, this hotel stands out very positively. Helpful staff and you can open the windows! great location as well. The food is the same old boring stuff, but I guess that comes from corporate....would be nicer to have more options for vegans and vegetarians

Went on mother's day and they had put a card, flowers, chocolates, bath bomb and 2 gift bags for our kids in the room. Such a sweet extra touch. Affordable. Lovely staff. Great location in the middle of town. Always a great stay!

Perfect stay, lovely breakfasts with freshly ground coffee. Brilliant staff, especially the manager who assisted in me having a comfortable abode for a week. Bar staff were amazing. the night staff were helpful and made sure we had everything, including quiet night's sleeps. We had a double bedroom, was sufficient for the short stay. Brilliant city, visited light night celebrations, enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere with ample links for trams, trains, and bus network. And the great Collection of food and drink venues. Will definalty stay again in the future. Thank you.

The rooms were clean and spacious with kettle and tea and coffee. The location was amazing walking distance from Rock City and a plethora of bars,.shops and take aways! Staff were amazing, in particular Reece, who on check out gave us directions for a short cut to the car park and also informed us we could get a discount for parking! Made our day! Breakfast was great. Buffet with a good choice of cooked food for a traditional breakfast, cereals, toast, coffee and juices!

The best Premier Inn we've stayed in. You get what you pay for in the hotel industry, but we always feel that we get good value at Premier Inn for the price you pay. Whilst you don't get luxury toiletries or refrigerated water, here at Premier Inn Goldsmith Street you get clean rooms, clean bedding and towels, black out curtains, super comfortable beds, staff that look like they enjoy their job, great customer service for a low price. We're super chuffed with our stay on 28/11/2022. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The ladies in the breakfast restaurant were very helpful and went above and beyond when asking the kitchen to start cooking our vegan options before we even sat down. (Great vegan buffet breakfast by the way, this isn't bacon and gourmet kitchen sausage) Excellent location. 5 - 10 mins to the centre, or there is a tram stop on the door step.

The rooms here really are warm. As it was 30+ degrees outside, the lack of air con and opening windows made the temperature in the room quite unbearable. It’s a good clean premier inn probably perfect for cooler weather but I’d look for somewhere with air con if you plan to stay during summer!

Fabulous never visited Nottingham city before but a great clean friendly open and fresh city. The hotel is in a perfect situation and close to everything but also feels spacious and relaxing. All the staff were so friendly and Breakfast was full of smiles and checking everything is ok etc. But Lisa on reception was just was bright and welcoming from the moment we arrived and so helpful during our stay and what a great representative for her employer . Oh and yes great nights sleep

We had a pretty good stay here. It was clean and pleasant, and in a good location not too far from the city - the front door is pretty much right on a tram stop with trams connecting it to the train station. The room got a bit too warm and the limited opening of the windows wasn’t cutting it, it also meant that we got the noise of the air conditioning units that don’t serve the bedrooms.

One of the best stays in Nottingham. Great value for money. Quiet rooms and friendly staff. Special mention to Mr Tom who was exceptional and made us and other guests feel welcomed.

We stayed here one night after a concert at the theatre, the location was excellent but very noisy due to the trams and night life but that was expected, we walked into the room and instantly noticed how dusty everything was and how dirty the carpet looked, it definitely had not been vacumed that day, there was dust all over the desk, side tables and kettle, I had to go to the reception as we had dirty pillow cases and mentioned how dirty the room was but just kind of laughed it off but did bring some more pillow cases. The TV remote was disgusting. Breakfast was nice though.

4 stars based on 'you kinda know what you are getting'. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom functional. I had a bath, so can't comment in the shower pressure. The breakfast is great, but a little expensive if you don't take full advantage. Nice to have a buffet, but they need to put serving spoons on a plate outside the heat lamps. Our bedroom had a really strange smell which wouldn't leave, even after leaving the window open. However, it was bearable. The WARNING is, as with most hotels, the sound proofing is AWFUL. This mainly depends on how considerate the people are around you. I had a terrible night in Friday as it sounded like some guys were having a loud conversation IN my room from 1 til 2 am. I thought they were in the car park, but couldn't see anyone, so guess they were in the room next door, or even above. Used some silicon earplugs on Saturday, and got some sleep. Note, the front of the hotel is right opposite student accommodation, who apparently love to party. However, it is a much quieter area than being in the Crowne Plaza, who happily place some customers directly opposite the Rock City night club (in-laws didn't get any sleep on the 5th floor)

Great location. Quiet. Entrance is bare and bland. Reception were smiley and efficient. Tram stop right outside, only a few stops to the Market Square and Railway station. 10min walk to the Square if you'd rather walk. Room was spacious and spotless. Comfy beds and pillows. Would definitely recommend. NB: I was in room 130 with a view of the back of the building next door and their bins. Rooms on the opposite side of the hallway (odd numbers) got the sunshine.

This is a Premier Inn so you know what to expect and it delivers. Staff is limited but they all multi task, of the same person may check you in, serve your food and even clean your room! Food in the restaurant is OK just. Location is great for the Nottingham Trent University. Only word of warning is the on site parking. This run by an private company and is the only convenient parking for the hotel and costs £20 for 24 hours.

  • 5/5 Richard S. 2 years ago on Google
A well priced room just a short walk from Nottingham City centre. The room was surprisingly large, with a double bed, bath, shower, TV, and kettle, and was clean and well presented. I always sleep well on a Premier Inn bed, and this was no exception. There was a buffet style breakfast available that was hot and well prepared. A good selection of food from a traditional English breakfast to a continental style food as well as coffee, juice etc. The food was hot , tasty, and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again when on a budget.
