I visited this place on recommendation from friends. I was told that the food was really nice. When entering the pub I was pleasantly surprised. It was very welcoming and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was shocked at the amount menu choice, awesome variety and excellent quality for money. I had the steak with Diane sauce, my partner had the mutton lamb and dumplings. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we are going to go back in the not so distant future. I would definitely recommend this pub.

Lovely place, truly lovely. I had the fish and chips & the Mrs had the braised steak off of the saver menu, great pub grub and my god so cheap on the saver menu in the daytime. Staff warm and welcoming, a real home from home.

Had a wonderful family birthday meal here recently. The atmosphere is amazing!. Very friendly staff, food is really nice. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are really lovely people. We have had many family birthday meals here. Definitely recommend this pub.

An exceptionally clean and inviting tavern with a sizable menu with many different options. The duck wonton appetizers were crispy and served with a sauce that was slightly sweet with just a hint of coriander. The main portions were more than enough for a hungry adult (and then some). The sausages were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - exactly how they should be. And the staff were extremely friendly. They made us feel not like tourists, but instead like we were part of the local crowd. A definite repeat when we're back in the area.

The staff are some of the friendliest I've come across. The food is just good food, can't complain. It's proper pub grub and hearty. Exactly what you'd expect.

This is a lovely pub and the staff are amazing. They are always making sure that you and the food they serve are ok. And they do not rush you at all. They always welcome us so nicely and we have made it our favourite place.

Wow! If you want a good roast, amazing service, and just that warm local feel. Come here! We had two roast chicken, and they were the best roasts we've had in years! This was our first visit, but it's going to become our local 100%

Amazing food, we were in the area after having a 4d scan across the road and thought we would have give willow tree a go due to the good reviews. Food is phenomenal! Spoke to Mandy the chef who has worked there 17 years, I can see why! All staff were friendly and me and my family were made to feel part of the crowd despite going out late with a toddler in tow. Not many people are so accepting of a 21 month old in a pub during evening time but it wasn't an issue for anyone in this pub. Can't wait to come back again soon :)

Saw the good reviews from others and decided to give it a try. Was there for a late lunch and fell in love with the ambience there. Colourful alchoholic drinks for decoratives at the bar area, great sense of humours (and singing voices) from the waiter and waitress - what a friendly and relaxing dining place. Fairly pleased with the skilled perfect pour of the Gusiness pint and the generous portion of steak meal. Will visit again for non-steak meal attempt.

We went for my grannies 80th Birthday today. Delicious food, the warmest of welcomes and the best of best in service from the two chaps who run it, chefs who personally checked and waitress. The food is home style, traditional British staples. The prices are reasonable too. I had the mixed grill and it was cooked to perfection. In fact there were 12 of us, and every dish was spot on and hot! Thank you from myself, my Grannie Bren and the rest of the family ❤️❤️❤️

Nice staff and decent food, clean and tidy. The only thing that I can comment on was some things were a little bit dearer than I like. Having said that I have visited there several times for food this year 🙂

Went for a meal for the Father in laws 70th. The pub has a lovely atmosphere, full of friendly folk, and the staff can not do enough for you. Very happy and polite. I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection and worth every penny. Prices are very good for portion sizes and the service that you get. Would highly recommend this place 10/10 for me.

Visited for lunch with mum and dad and everyone's meal was cooked to perfection. Absolutely no complaints. I had the best gammon steak I've ever had, mum had a rump steak that was excellently cooked, lean and presented perfectly. Definitely will come again and would recommend to anybody.

We went for Sunday Roast not sure what to exoect. When we got in we got amazing service, staff was very nice. The inside is very cozy and has a warm feel. The menu had many food options so no need to worry about not finding something you will like. After ordering the food quickly came out and everything was great with big portions, so unless you are really hungry I wouldnt recomend ordering a starter as a sunday rost main will be more than enough. Also the toilets were clean and well located. Lastly, I need to point out that while eating here you felt at home as most people knew the owner and staff and acted like family. Would recomend if you like a nice sunday lunch with a cozy environment.

What a gem of a place, this is now my regular eatery when I go to visit my mum in Sherwood, brilliant friendly service and the food is consistently great! (it deserves the explanation mark). You will not be disappointed.

I visit this place now and again after work for a meal and drink, the staff are great the food is nice and the locals are friendly. Stewart the landlord and his lovely wife are always really welcoming as is Kev the bartender. If you are in the area I would recommend nipping in for a all day breakfast from mandy the head chef 👍

Asked my son to find a decent pub for a meal near to his uni accommodation. We were not disappointed. Food was hot, fresh, delicious and large portions. I will make this our usual place to eat when we visit in future.staff were outstanding. Polite courteous and professional. The man serving recognised my son after he had only been in once and new what he wanted to drink. Proper pub. Amazing.

The Willow Tree is my favourite eaterie and I'm extremely happy to support a local business. It does help that it's only a short walk away but the standard of cooking, by the two fabulous chefs, is second to none! Apart from the very vast menu; there are lunch menus and specials too so the choice is immeasurable and certainly aiming to please even the fussiest eaters; the portions are hearty and I always come away with that "well fed" feeling. On average, a standard 2-course lunch for two, with drinks, comes in at around £30 which, for the home made quality and service, is pretty reasonable. All the staff are extremely friendly and personable and go out of their way to ensure everything is just how you'd like it to be. This is definitely my "go to" venue for any occasion and I cannot recommend the Willow Tree highly enough. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit - you certainly won't be disappointed.

Great homemade food. I had the steak and ale pie freshly made. Staff are very attentive. Surroundings very clean. Only downside, £2.40 for a child's "Fruit Shoot" is taking the Michael....

Had a bad meal 2 weeks ago when we took friends to the Willow tree. We had been there a week prior and ordered the belly pork and it states it is slow roasted . You could not fault it. Cooked to perfection. So when my friends came up from South Wales.. I knew The Willow was the place to take them. I ordered the same as I did the week before and it was horrible. What I got was at best described as burnt pork chops. There were grill marks on it and the fat was badly burnt and when the Scottish manager picked up my plate it was all stil there. I told him this isn't belly pork and could not eat it as it was over cooked and burnt pork chops. He never offered to make it right or discount my meal. His comment was I will pass it on to the chef. I felt robbed on a meal and have gone there on and off for years. If something is not right... saw no food was eaten.. he never ever once asked if I wanted something else. Them having left overs and cooking it differently changed the entire dynamic of the meal . It should not have been on the specials board if tgwy were not willing to serve it up as described. People are watching their money and going out is a treat .I felt robbed of a meal and I will never go there as it did leave s bad taste in my mouth. The owner of this establishment also runs the Stadium club and they make sure that everyone that fines there leaves happy and satisfied. Perhaps management needs to learn a thing or 2 from the Stadium clubs book. They will get my business before I will ever walk into The Willow again. Shame as his staff are all lovely but think that was extremely poor service on his side as q manager. When you pay for a meal you want it to be good and regardless of what great things he did in my past visits.. it is this one that I will remember.

Absolutely fantastic meal, decided to have the daily savers menu which saved on cost but definitely not on flavour or size of meal. The staff were super friendly and the place was immaculate. Only wish this was our local! Highly recommended

Ended up going here for mother in laws birthday, adequate parking welcoming staff, tidy building. Drink glasses were nice and clean, the waitress we had looking after us was really attentive. We order some steaks (medium rare), the food was cooked really nice however the steak was over done and the waitress and cook took them back and cooked us fresh ones that were absolutely amazing and worth the wait in the end, the cook came out to check we were happy with the replacements and couldnt apologise enough for the previous error we were well impressed. I would recommend this business and will be going back in the future.

Drove in to a great size car park around the back of the pub, we walked around the front to find a great welcoming entrance, we went to the bar where we were met by Stuart and Kevin who were both extremely friendly and welcoming, we had booked which was very lucky as the pub was very busy, we were then shown to our table which was tucked away in a corner and it was just perfect, they have a good range of drinks including cocktails 🍹, however we had a pint of John Smiths and decent bottle of Pinot which were very reasonable priced, we ordered the food at the bar and this included one starter which was a wild mushroom soup, which was amazing and very tasty, we ordered three different main courses, a leg of lamb Sunday dinner, roast chicken Sunday dinner and a steak feast, all meals arrived in good time, they were all hot, very tasty, we got plenty, and we couldn’t fault any of the main courses they were fantastic, we also ordered three deserts - two Eton Mess sundae’s and a Mint Aero sundae which again were amazing and we couldn’t fault. From start to finish the staff were 5 ⭐️, the food was 5 ⭐️, and the drinks were 5 ⭐️, there definitely isn’t any compromise on quality, service or quantity. I would definitely recommend visiting. And finally I would like to say a huge thank you to all the team at The Willow Tree and we will definitely be visiting again.
