Nice cathedral where you are allowed the visit but not to explore it. Respect the note that asks turists to stop. It is a place of worship and prayers. Loved the stained glass windows.

One of the most important places in the city. Although it is a Christian Catholic cathedral, it still shows the influence of the Christian Orthodox style and it is stunning.

The Name of Mary Catholic Church in Novi Sad is a magnificent structure that combines both historical and religious significance. This awe-inspiring church is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city and a must-visit for anyone interested in religious architecture and history. The church's most striking feature is its beautiful facade, which boasts an intricate blend of Gothic and Baroque styles. The intricate details and ornate decorations of the exterior set the tone for the grandeur that awaits inside. Stepping inside, visitors are immediately greeted by the soaring vaulted ceilings and beautiful stained-glass windows that bathe the interior in a warm, colorful glow. The church's interior is richly decorated with beautiful frescoes and ornate sculptures that highlight the skill of the artists who created them. One of the most impressive features of the church is its impressive altar, which serves as the centerpiece of the interior. The intricate details of the altar and the beautiful artwork that adorns it make it a true masterpiece of religious art. Aside from its aesthetic appeal, the Name of Mary Catholic Church also holds a significant place in the history of Novi Sad. It has served as a religious and cultural center for the city's Catholic community for over 300 years and has survived many trials and tribulations throughout that time.

Beautiful church in the centre of Novi Sad. Like much of Novi Sad it is not very old but is definitely worth a visit.

Extremely beautiful and interesting church. It is the largest church in Novi Sad, and is located in the city center on Freedom Square ( Trg Slobode ). The locals call it a "cathedral", although Novi Sad belongs to the Roman Catholic diocese of Subotica, whose cathedral is located in Subotica. This beautiful church was built in the Neo-Gothic style between 1893 and 1895. It was built on Freedom Square on the site of older churches, the oldest of which was built in the first decades of the 18th century. It was built according to the project of the famous architect Gyorgy Molnar. He built a three-nave basilica with a 73 m high tower, which makes it the tallest church in the city. There are four altars in the church, and the main one is decorated with Tyrolean carvings. The windows are decorated with stained glass, made in Pest, and they present biblical scenes and coats of arms of famous Catholic families from Novi Sad. The church has an organ from 1895. Today, occasional concerts are organized in it, including concerts by prominent organists.

A wonderful sacred place in the heart of Novi Sad. Worth visiting if you wish to see a landmark of the downtown and are a believer.

I absolutely adore this church! I love gothic style and could spend a whole day just sitting at the square admiring and contemplating it! It doesn't have to be religious, one can just enjoy and admire the beauty of the arhitecture and ambient. Inside is also gorgeous. Although I was on a short vacation, I spent most of my time in the sqaure here, looking up.

Novi Sad surprised me with lack of neocommunist architecture. This is not your typical Eastern European town. And the Old Town square with its gorgeous catholic cathedral is proof enough. Small streets full of young people and small cafes and restaurants are just the loveliest! They surround the cathedral and make the ambiance unique and extremely pleasant! Free wi-fi available and endless bike paths.

It's a beautiful church, but not as amazing as the Serbian Orthodox Churches. The outside of the church is stunning, but you can't venture much inside. The inside is nice.

Walking through this part of the city is beautiful and especially gorgeous as the first snow falls. Visit the many churches and the warm welcome you will receive when you engage with the locals.

Very beautiful church. Be aware that the access inside is limited. Only people who pray can enter.

The biggest and probably the most beautiful church in the city, built in the neo-Gothic style and the most recognisable attraction of Novi Sad. I was just a bit disappointed you're not allowed inside as a tourist.

Center point of the city, great touristic attraction! I was just disappointed that we couldn't go inside.

When you are in Novi sad, it feels like city resolves around this church. It is located in the city center. It has a grand neo gothic architecture. We visited this square almost every single day when we were in the city.

I think the church is closed due to COVID but you can still peek inside through the gate. The inside is beautiful and still worth a visit.

Spectacular! Especially when looking at it from outside, but inside is good as well. However, you can't go on that deep when you get inside as it had a door after 5-6 meters.

Wonderful church, Croatian and Hungarian perplexed history. I was surprised there is only Hungarian text in Cross stages. Calm atmosphere, nice decoration and peace. The position on the monument of Svetozar Miletic is odd, like he is angry on the church. It should be positioned differently. This church is the symbol of Novi Sad. Nice experience. Beautiful Catholic square yard nearby with good cafes.

Beautiful church. However there isn't much information regarding it displayed in English for tourists. I would have liked to know more about the history of the place. Still worth a visit to check it out if you are visiting Novi Sad.

The main Catholic church in the city. Built in Neo-Gothic style. I couldn't go inside, but the tower is visible from almost the entire city.
