There are more than five reasons to make Five Reasons Hostel your stay of choice! I actually made a reservation here just a week before the end of Oktoberfest, and it only cost me about half of what a mucky campsite in Munich would have. Travel is only about 2 hours each way, and you'll also get to explore a quieter, more laid back city away from the afterparty scene. Rooms: The dorms are clean and well designed for function. I stayed in an 8-bed dorm. The room is temperature-controlled so it never got too warm nor cold, despite the variable temperature ranges during fall. I love that there is a large number of dorms with less people in each dorm. This means the dorms stay peaceful and quiet, but if you want to socialize there's always company in the dining area and lounge below. Very well thought out! Bed: Each bed comes with privacy curtains, which is such a difference-maker for comfort. A warm adjustable lamp is installed in the wall at the head of the bed. The bedframes doe creak but are otherwise sturdy - so try to move around less at night! Washroom: Clean and well-designed! I always appreciate when the sinks, toilets, and showers are separated by cubicles - which isn't all the time. This allows for the bathroom to be used by few people at once and avoids having to wait. With just 2 toilets, sinks, and showers, there was never any wait. Washrooms are also gender-segregated. I've stayed at dorms with mixed-washrooms AND transparent cubicles... but the cubicles here are opaque. In fact, each shower cubicle is self-contained so you don't even have to worry about scummy shower water from a neighbor. Pantry: I didn't cook in the pantry, but it was adequately clean and a plethora of cooking utensils are provided. Location: The hostel is at the edge of the Old Town - you get to enjoy supreme accessibility to public transport via the U-bahn station just at the entrance of the Old Town, as well as being a short walk away from the historical churches. There is a farmer's market just 10 mins away on foot I'd strongly recommend for awesome burgers, sausages, fresh fruit, and 1 Euro truffle mushrooms! If you're heading to Munich, the Flixbus that takes you there departs from the central bus station, which is a mere 15 minutes on foot and less by U-bahn. Community:

This place is amazing. Great location only 10 min walk from the train station. I stayed in a 6 female shared room the room was big and clean it had curtains for added privacy. The restrooms down the hall with two stalls and showers were cleaned every morning.I extended two additional nights definitely would stay here again.

The room was very nicely designed, comfy beds and very clean. The toilets/bathrooms are all modern and again spotless. Downstairs is a chilled lounge/cafe area where they do drinks and snacks etc. Literally a 2 minute walk from the metro station, and a 10 min walk from the town centre.

"No Money- No Room" is obviously the motto of this hotel. Even if you have a reservation from their own website confirmed by bank card. The receptionist and her manager were smart and easy to get out of the situation with their own non-working POS terminal - they just offered me to leave and look for another hotel. In short, another good hotel with incompetent staff.

Clean and well kept. Kitchen is available to cook your own meals, and locker storage is free. Excellent pace to stay in Nuremberg. Location is a quick walk from the train station and just around the corner from the Human Rights columns.

Best place we've found in Germany. A little gem. Beautiful views from the bedroom. The staff and front desk are incredibly accommodating and friendly. Definitely would stay here again if I'm in Nuremberg. :)

Amazing hostel in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Big spacious rooms and fancy bathrooms on each level. Well stocked kitchen and big dining area. Staff are friendly and helpful and beer and snacks are sold at a good price. Only thing lacking was a social common area but wasn't a big deal because everything else was so clean and comfortable. One of the better hostels I've stayed in.

Very friendly and welcoming, lovely decor and very clean. However the walls are paper thin - we were woken up by our neighbours talking every night. Also we didn't realise that even for the private rooms, the bathroom is shared. The bathrooms are clean though! Would recommend for traveling on a budget.

Super nice hotel/hostel! Stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm, and the room was huge. The hostel had a large common area and a reasonable sized kitchen as well. The staff were all super friendly and the location is perfect - right by the ubahn station and 1 stop away from the train station.

Very clean, well located, well thought out. Price is very good and the staff are friendly. We did not sleep well because of the street noise from the open windows, open because of no airconditioning, and the pillows were uncomfortable for us. Big square pillows and very soft. I would however still recommend this location.

Best hostel for so many reasons (more than five LOOL). Price is so reasonable (I stayed in a mixed dorm); huge bathrooms with a place to put your toiletries in the shower; private toilets (in a fully enclosed room); and beds with a light-protective curtain to separate them, a private light, and outlet, so it feels more like a Japanese cubby than a bed. Great breakfast, friendly staff, walkable from Nurnberg central train station. 100% will stay again!

I stayed here for a night to visit the Christmas Market on 3 December 2023. It is walking distance from Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof. I got a room with shared bathroom. Everything went well although I had to ask the couple in the neighbouring room to keep the noise down as they were having an argument at one point - they were quiet after that. I slept well. There was a very welcoming guy working at reception when I arrived who was super helpful (his name began with ‘A’). The hostel is walking distance from the Christmas Market. Recommended

Being in the older age bracket (59) I always get nervous about hostels. But my fears were allayed right from check in. The staff were great. I was in an 8 bed female dorm with heaps of room, curtains on the bed and for extra privacy each end of the beds were closed off too. Your own light and plug completed it. The shared bathroom was always clean. Also a good comfy bar/lounge area. The only problem could be people with their wheeled bags walking along the cobbled street below the window 🤔😂

Was great; no complaints. Good, clean rooms, good facilities (lockers, bathrooms, etc). Only bummer was price being a bit expensive (€27 for a night in 8-bed room) but it's (almost) June, nice season + I booked last minute. So would say still worth it. Also the reception was prompt, professional, and kind in responding to some questions (both through phone and email). Oh, and the location is great, being close to the hbf! All in all, would definitely stay again if in town.

Its located a 10 min from the main train station of Nuremberg and within the city walls, so right in the old town. We had a large family room for 4 with kitchenette, large bathroom and separate WC. Price value was great!

Nice hostel, pretty close to the train station and the city centre. Managed to meet some people one night and make plans to go out with them. Very clean and modern, would reccomend.

Fantastic place to stay! We were in one of the twin bed rooms and it was very spacious with comfortable beds. The place is clean. It was nice to have cooking facilities as well but eating out in Nuremberg can be quite cheap, there are lots of options. Really nice staff, I highly recommend this place.

I stayed one night in this hostel but would happily have stayed for more. The location is ideal - inside the city walls but 10 min from the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a private room with a shared bathroom and the room was huge. Twice the size of any other hotel or hostel room I've had in Europe (including a triple bed room in another country). The bed was very comfortable and the windows were soundproof even though the room faced a main road. An excellent hostel I will happily visit again.

An excellent hostel in a great location. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were always spotlessly clean, and were relatively spacious too. The kitchen and dining area was particularly good, and made it super easy to self-cater.

Well located near the train station and walking distance to many attractions. This hostel was clean and peaceful and the kitchen and bathrooms were great. I would recommend the daily walking tours too! Thank you to the kind staff for a wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful experience! The personnal is very kind and helpful. The hostel has a very convenient location and is very comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay there the next time I go to Nuremberg.

At first I thought it was a bit expensive (41 euros a night for mixed room with 8 bed). But the building looks super new, clean and well organised. In the luggage room and in the rooms where you sleep in there are lockers available (if you have 1 euro for deposit). There is a little place outside where you can sit. The location is perfect (I came by train and that's a small 10 min walk). Only downside is that it was a warm in the room during my first night.

Great place. Stayed here in July 2023, previously also in December 2018. Fantastic location — easy 7-minute walk from the Hbf, and the hostel stands within the old city walls. Rooms are spacious, and spotlessly clean. Beds are comfortable, lockers are large. I actually enjoyed my stay so much this week that I booked one more night spontaneously after checking out. A hostel employee — who noticed from my booking activity that I might be interested in extending my stay yet again — wrote me an email personally to give me a heads-up about the upcoming availability, just in case. Alll-around friendly and helpful staff.

Love love love this hostel. The location is central to everything, the mixed room was super open, lots of space, super clean, fun environment in the common room. Shower and bathroom were very aesthetic in addition to being clean.

Utterly awesome hostel the location of which cannot be beat. Great, chill staff, warm atmosphere, super modern and clean and quiet, and a nice big kitchen and pretty great selection of tunes playing throughout the day as well as powerful wifi. Ended up spending a week here. Do yourself a favour and stay at Five Reasons if you're in Nuremburg.

Great Hostel. Many shared places and it's easy to connect with people. Rooms are clean and it's very cozy. And there's a kitchen which is nice. Also, Nürnberg is a nice city.

Excellent place, lovely staff, very willing to help! The rooms are spacious and bright, with quite comfortable beds, bathrooms were modern and kept clean. The small breakfast did just fine, perhaps a little more variety could be desired

It's an incredible hostel because it is beautiful, clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are big and the beds are ready to sleep with clean linen. The breakfast is 7 euro and I think if you're a lazy person, it deserves the price it's totally fine. I've been in a lot of hostels and this one is one of the best. I totally recommend it.

Five reasons to stay here when in Nuremberg: - clean, spacious rooms with comfy beds, lockers for your valuables - great shared bathroom with the best showers I've ever seen in a hostel - an ideal location, near the train station and a short walk from the old town - nice little terrace out the back and a great selection of beer to buy! - friendly, welcoming service In summary, this place is fantastic.

Really great place to stay. Only criticism I have is that the dorm rooms don't have air-conditioning. But otherwise, everything else was great. The staff were absolutely lovely every time I saw them, great atmosphere, great service, great place to stay. Highly recommended 🙂

The hostel didn't approve my booking cancellation even after the assistance of booking, I've lost my money and received a negative feedback from the hostel. The hostel is very expensive for its services.

I have visited 3 big hostels within this travel. I would say five reasons is the best.although this is a 8 people room, activity space per capita is larger than other hostels. The toilet and bathroom are not in the room, so you don't have to put up with the sound of your roommate's 1am shower. All places were cleaned very well! You know, other hotel staff are very perfunctory cleaning. I would like to emphasize the ergonomic design: the bathroom drain is a narrow opening in the wall. There is no problem of hair clogging the water at all. There is a public hair dryer, in other hotels you can only borrow it from the reception and require a deposit. The lights at the head of the bed can be adjusted, other hotels can not change the direction, it will make the eyes uncomfortable. There are also hangers, tables and chairs and mirrors, all of good quality! The only thing is that the young people in Bayern like the night life, they will be noisy outside the window at 1 am, you need earplugs. The staff are patient and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and will come again if I have the chance :)

Must be vying for one of the best hostel prizes. Clean, efficient and backpacker or single tourist friendly as everything is walkable distance. I usually stay in hotels, after a bad experience in a hostel in Russia. But this place was AMAZING. Tiana at the reception was a new inductee , yet very helpful. The entire staff is totally service oriented. Great for a B2C business. Whosoever is the owner deserves full credit for putting together a great team to run it. I am not going anywhere , if I am in Nuremberg alone.

Nice hostel, but both nights I was there (weeknights) my whole room got woken up around 3am by people outside our window. Other than that, had a nice relaxing time here!

I stayed there for 10 days while I was searching for an accommodation. I booked In a 4 bed shared room. The price is very reasonable. The hostel is very clean with big and well equipped kitchen, a huge common resting room and a lovely terrace. You will have your own locker in the room. In addition, there is a big locker room in the first floor that you can use for free. Location is very central, opposite of opera house metro station and within short walking distance to the city center. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they will even recommend you some great places to visit if you ask. Moreover, the guest are international and friendly and I was able to meet many interesting people.

Location is perfect. Next to metro station, 10 minutes walking away from Nuremberg Central station and city center. Very clean indeed and well equipped. Breakfast if you need for 7 EUR and for dinner there is a restaurant next to the hostel very nice and not so expensive. As I noticed the hostel is very popular and people been there once returned for sure.

Fantastic hostel. Bathrooms were clean and cleaned on a consistent basis, accomodation and location was superb. Even better were the people I met and befriended there - awesome times

13mins far away from Hbf, even far away from the Flixbus station. It was my second time to stay here, every time It was easy for me to find the direct way to this Hostel. Nothing is included to the room. Get everything yourself and bathroom is not big enough considering the number of rooms

Nice hotel all and all ... No mini necessities like (soap for instance to shower in the morning) which was a bit frustrating. The smell in the woman's bathroom was absolutely unbearlable. It smelled like fish and it quite shocking TBH.... Reception guy was super sweet 😊 Cheers

Prices were high when I stayed..45 euros for a dormitory bed shared with 8 others. Explanation was demand was high. Can do better. Receptionist were friendly and helpful, especially Sofia... One was not nice
