From arrival to departure our stay was fantastic. We was welcomed by Alison who is an absolute asset to the lodges. Alison went over and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house keeping staff and the staff in the restaurant were brilliant too, again nothing was too much. The breakfast was amazing and we all really enjoyed it. The rooms were really specious, clean and with modern technology. Waking up the the lake for a view was just mind blowing. This get away was just what we needed- peace and quite away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Feeding the ducks and the fishes bought soo much peace and tranquility. The animals at the entrance were just a bonus and my kids absolutely loved the animals specially one of the goat's which they named (Pablo). Overall, the whole experience was excellent and once again Thank you to Alison who went over and beyond and nothing was too much. We are already looking to book again and can not wait.

Positives, lovely food made from scratch, scenery, room, beds, and technical touches. Goats, fish abundance of bird variety. Beautiful sunset and perfect quiet getaway. Negs, first impressions reception area tired.unfinished paintwork, plumbing, just a little rough around the edges. No teaspoons for tea/coffee in room and skirting could do with a clean and cobwebs cleared.

Great staff super helpfull nothing too much trouble went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed after we booked what we thought was room with hot tub but apparently Late Rooms had not advertised correctly but all was sorted very easily no hassle at all. View from room amazing looking over Lake which was lit up at night, full English cooked breakfast in morning . When this venue is fully finished and exterior grounds cleared it will be stunning, but still a comfortable welcoming place to stay overnight Brilliant receptionist too !

Myself and my partner had the pleasure of staying here back in August of this year. The location is very remote and quiet which is perfect for a few nights getaway. The views of the lake from our room was absolutely stunning and we loved the fact that we could interact with all the animals and the fish in the lake. Upon arrival I was greeted at reception by a lovely woman called Alice who throughout our stay was more than helpful and went above and beyond when we needed something. Alison is an absolute credit to the establishment and I hope to meet her again whenever we make a return visit. Our room was very comfy and had plenty of facilities. The facilities on site where also very good aswell as the breakfast we had. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable experience with Alison making us feel like we where at home. I couldn't recommend this place to anymore to anyone reading this. We hope to see you all again soon Thank you!

What a find. Away for work but really enjoyed the tranquility of the rooms on my return. Good wifi connection, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. So much better than a standard 3* hotel. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Dawn does fantastic scrambled egg for breakfast and was so welcoming and cheery. I look forward to returning ☺️

Only complaint can be that for the price they asking you would want immaculate rooms. There just was dust in few places and spider webs, but overall great experience. Fabulous rooms, amazing breakfast. Loved technology touch, Alexa controlled lights, smart heating and bathroom. We had a room with hottub, also there is rooms available without hottub. Great nature, can buy fish food at reception amd feed fish from your deck. Each room have a deck with a lake view and literally water in front of you

Rooms very spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Staff can't do enough for you especially Dawn at breakfast service! Only downside is no dog waste bins considering it's dog friendly

Great location, friendly staff... Restaurant not open on the evening when we visited, so can't comment on the food. ... Obviously owner is a real techie... Echo device controls the lights, great electronic shower controls, for bath too, electronic door entry. Keycode electric entry gate. Decking over the lake to each lodge, where you can sit out and enjoy the lake, beware, No rails on decking, so watch young children or old peeps Some animals for the kids to feed too.

The room was great, good size with a double sofa as well as a very comfortable bed , everything in the room you could ask for.My only negative was couldn’t turn the lights off underneath the curtain rail, did ask Alexa but didn’t understand our command, also heating came on in the morning, it wasn’t even cold outside made the room a bit uncomfortable. All in all a lovely tranquil place to stay and a good choice for breakfast

26/08/23 (2 Nights) We booked a room here just to get away from the busyness of everyday life. We were blown away at how peaceful and tranquil it is here. Not a sound to be heard, apart from the sounds of ducks, Moorhens, and the fish sloshing about when we threw handfuls of fish food into the water. We wanted to go find a park to sit down and have a picnic but we decided that we would just stay and watch the birds while we ate instead. We saw a heron stalk its lunch and later on, we saw what we believe was a cormorant, diving under the water to catch small fish. Would recommend to friends & family and definitely coming back again. Really enjoyed the innovative lighting and the smart water controls in the bathroom. Overall, we had a great experience -There were a few minor issues with general upkeep and the bathroom could do with new waterproof/ non slip flooring. Apart from that, we were really happy with everything. Thank you to staff for the friendly service and for keeping us stocked up with fish food (We bought three bags ) See you again soon Keren & David

We had one of the hot tub suites - absolutely incredible! Got a lot for our money and the rooms were very spacious. Felt very homely. Loved seeing the farm animals outside and felt very safe and secure in our suite. Definitely would come again! Breakfast was also included which was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d just mention that you may need more than one night here to enjoy how relaxing it is!

We were worried when we saw the pictures and read the reviews. But we have had an absolutely fantastic time. When we arrived we were shocked to see some little goats running around. the lady in reception was so friendly and helpful. The man that runs the restaurant is very pleasant and serves FANTASTIC FOOD WITH GREAT SERVICE. It was great to be able to feed the fish and animals. This is an absolutely fantastic place with staff to match. I hope the boss pays them well to make sure the staff stay. They deserve it for the fantastic service they provide. We are hoping to return again soon.

so i recently had a reservation at the lodge i paid £180 for a room for 1 night the room had a hot tub. so in the morning when i had gone to use the bathroom there was no water at all so i rang the main reception to let them no. i was told that it would be on in a hour. a hour and a half had past still no water. so i was unable to wash my face have a shower or even use the hot tub in the morning due to there being no water. so as a paying guest i feel i was entitled to a full refund. after emailing them and asking for a refund i was told the water was on and made out to be a liar. disgusting behaviour definitely wont be using them again WARNING TO OTHER PAYING CUSTOMERS

Great place with amazing views. Rooms are good and the location is very peaceful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The in house restaurant serves lovely food. The only negative I would say is that the decking/hot tub area has a lot of spider webs and looks poor. It will just take someone 10 mins to clear this and then it will be perfect.

Our stay at Waterfront Lodges was OK. Brilliant greeting at reception, helpful staff. Our 2 bedroom lodge looked fantastic as we first walked in - good sized beds, jacuzzi bath and walk in shower, Alexa controlling lights etc throughout, decking with view over the lake. But when we took a closer look, unfortunately it was not as clean as we would have liked, especially with 3 children running about and one crawling on the floor. The carpet was dirty and smelly in the living room and the sofa had a smell of dog. The bathroom has ingrained dirt around the skirting and just generally felt a bit dirty. It just needed a deep clean and a paint job to make it good. However, beds were comfy (apart from the bobbly and bumpy pillows) and the lodge was a great size for us all. The terrace was a nice touch and very peaceful in the evening, however there were weeds and stinging nettles growing all over it and could have done with a bit of gardening to make it look good. Breakfast was good, we didn't mind helping ourselves to juice or toasting the bread. The animals at the reception - emus, goats, chickens and a pig - were a nice idea and the children enjoyed going over to see them. Shame about the spaniels that were wondering around and got very annoyed when we came down to breakfast, running at our children at full speed and barking loudly. Not ideal when one has a severe fear of dogs! They shouldn't be allowed around guests , especially with young children, if that's show they behave. Overall, an OK stay. Lodge could have been brilliant but needs a bit of work.

Amazing place to stay!! Would really recommend, Allison was beyond accommodating and was super friendly. The place is so peaceful and calming , loved the animals at the front and the vending machine and microwave in the hallway was a really nice touch

They've had good intentions with this place unfortunately they've been poorly executed. There's a lot of unfininished building work, large piles of rubble, poorly finished bathrooms, unpainted doors. It's very unsuitable for young children with no fencing of decking areas over lake. Lots of weeds and rubbish in communal areas. Slow service for breakfast with only one person serving. Everyone else looked very unhappy waiting so we left the dining area, checked out early and bought breakfast elsewhere. There really has been no careful planning when fitting out the rooms. The beds have lights underneath that come on when you move while you're asleep. (It might have been because my partner kicked the duvet over the sensor a few times). We wanted to turn the heating off but could only turn it down to discover that in the morning it had automatically come back on higher. The ensuite bathroom had a fancy looking shower and separate bath, both operated from one switch on the wall. You can't shower without avoiding your hair getting wet and you can't bathe and adjust the water as you can't reach the control. There's a fancy mirror with controls on it but it's too far set back to see yourself if you need glasses but want to take your make up off.... I could go on. My partner was upset as he thought this would be a nice place over looking the lake and chose it over a manor house hotel for the same price.

we have just come home from another amazing night, I absolutely love this place that's why we returned this year afterspending a night last year we returned again this year. The staff are so friendly and helpful and really can't do enough for you. If your looking for 5 star just keep on going but if you're looking for somewhere that quiet and laid back and you just want to chill then this is the place. Thank you so much see you next year Rachel and Danny

The rooms are beautiful over looking the lake. Loved my room. Reception staff were great. Definitely stay there again. The only negative was they ran out of alot of breakfast products for a full English. The service in the bar/ food area does need a little work but overall I enjoyed my stay and will return.

Firstly, the staff are amazing, with special thanks to Alison, Ian, and the chef, and the house-keeping staff, they are a real credit to the Lodge, and the owner(s), should be very blessed they have such incredible staff. I felt so looked after, the service was out of this world, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was wonderful, facilities, were very modern and the place was so clean. The room was amazing, with a view of the lake, if you need to get away from everything, this is the place. By the way, please do not complain if the ducks are a little quacky, after all, you are next to a lake! I am definitely returning back here, and give it a 5 star rating!

Good location. Security gates at the entrance, which are always for me a selling point. The goats, emu's and chickens were a bit smelly, and not too sure they added much value. Staff were all very friendly, check-in was good. Our room was adequately sized and contained all the latest technology that included Alexa controlling all the lights, shower. At the rear of the room there is access to a small decked area with table and chairs, great for relaxing, but be aware there is nothing to stop you from falling into the lake, so after a beer or if you have children take care. Outside the rooms there is access to plates and cutlery along with a microwave which is useful especially as the restaurant does not open on a Sunday and Monday evening. The rooms themselves just need finishing and if they were "finished" they would be very nice. Breakfast was good, albeit you have to help yourself to cartons of juice, and milk from a small fridge, bread is served direct from the bag and the toaster takes a couple of attempts to provide the toasted effect, that said the food was hot and nicely cooked, although the ingredients could have been a better quality. For a short stay, weekend away the hotel is value for money

Loved coming here all the time. Now all of a sudden the prices go up? They’re extortion prices! So sad that I will never be returning again.

Rooms had not been properly cleaned, especially as they should be deeply cleaned because of covid, do not expect to find other people’s dirty underwear and used condoms on the wardrobe. Also would not recommend for a group of young people as we were threatened to be kicked out on arrival at the assumption that we were going to be loud.

The walls are so thin you can hear the guests next door cough. There are dodgy wires lose. The lamps don’t work. There is bats flying at you at night when sitting outside on the balcony. The bath water isn’t very warm and takes ages to fill a bath. The windows don’t open. The doors are stiff to close.
