After our arrival to Nusa Dua we found that it was catered to tourism a fair bit, we asked our grab driver for a recommendation on where the locals eat and he recommended this place. A short trip from our hotel to this local eatery and it’s a very basic set up. Perfect. The ordering system is pretty easy for tourists, rather spicy or not spicy, not sure exactly what’s on the menu prior to ordering but it seems to be fried chicken of some sort according to the locals and google translate. I ended up ordering the spicy version and my partner got the non spicy version. Seems to come with a skewer and some chicken and rice plus the sauce which is the spicy part of it. Overall the food is pretty good, the chicken if you’re not familiar with culture is very similar to how you would find in most south east Asia locations where it is what it is, the chicken was chopped and it wasn’t just thigh or breast, it’s bone and all, my partner got a leg and I got a section of the breast. Overall fantastic flavours, loads of spices and very tasty, could’ve been more meat but still a light and balanced meal. Super cheap, came up to 70k with 2 cokes. I’d rate this place a solid 8.2/10.

Food was ok and the price was very reasonable at 25,000/dish and 5,000/drink, however, the customer service was completely awful. Our server explained that there’s one dish which can be ordered either spicy, medium spicy, or not spicy. I ordered medium spicy and pointed to the fridge as I asked for a bottled drink. Our server brought our food right away but had forgotten my drink, which wasn’t a big deal, I reminded her and she quickly went and brought it to me. My wife had ordered her food not spicy but was served food that was quite spicy. After calling our server over to explain that her food was too spicy, the server kept responding “no, it’s not spicy, it’s not spicy.” I know that spice levels can be subjective, but don’t offer a “not spicy” option when it is, in fact, spicy, and then argue with guests while trying to convince them otherwise. After my wife repeated several times that the dish was too spicy and that maybe she’d been mistakenly given a spicier dish than she’d ordered, our server walked over to the kitchen and was having a conversation with the kitchen staff, but left us hanging on what the resolution was. She stood chatting with the kitchen staff for a moment and then returned to her duties clearing other tables, without coming back to say anything to us. For a moment, we thought maybe they’d made a mistake and that they’d bring out a new plate that wasn’t spicy, but our server didn’t have the presence of mind to return to us to close the loop. When we were leaving, we stood at the front counter waiting to get the attention of the woman sitting there so that we could pay our bill, but she was too busy chatting with the other women to notice that she had customers waiting to pay. This normally wouldn’t be a big deal on its own, but after feeling annoyed with our service up into that point, it felt extra annoying to have to interrupt the cashier’s conversation just to pay our bill - it should also be noted that our bill was 60,000 rupiah, we handed over a 100,000 rupiah bill, and the cashier didn’t have small enough bills to make proper change for us.

We were the first customer. Went there while they were still setting up so no queue and the shop attendants were pleasant and nice. However as we were eating, the crowd was trickling in. The food is good and flavourful. The spices were aromatic and the portions decent. Definitely must order the 'sedang' or the 'spicy' version to enjoy the goodness of the spiced chicken.

My friend and I stopped by for lunch after our visit to the Waterblow. Very nice local food in my opinion! You'd actually see quite a lot of locals having their lunch here too. You get to cheese between spicy and non-spicy nasi campur. The rice comes with little bits of side dishes. The satay is really good! Worth the try definitely. 👍🏻

Wow. What a gem. The flavours are superb. The price is unbeatable. When you go in, they will only ask you 1) spicy or no spicy 2) what do you want to drink? Very limited menu but that's okay. What they do serve is absolutely delicious! If you would like to see the menu in English, please see pictures.

We ordered the food online through the Grab App. The food was delicious as compared to the food that we ordered room service from the hotel's restaurant as our first lunch in Bali after we checked in our hotel/Villa. The Ayam Betutu (with sauce) was very good. They used the old chicken or kampung chicken I was not sure. But the meat was tender and cooked in a unique mix of spices. It was spicy and tasty, but we enjoyed it very much. The Ayam Betutu did not come with the rice. The Nasi Ayam Campur, chicken (a little bit dry compared to the Ayam Betutu) with vegetable long beans was good and the onion sambal was quite spicy.

Delicious and good value for money. Three types of chicken to go with plain rice. Topped up with gravy and other condiments. All for the price for 25K rupiah.

Amazing flavors in one plate! Have been here a couple of times and the food is always superb. The different kinds of chicken they serve have their own textures and taste, the vegetable was also decent… basically every element on the plate all tastes great. Though I would warn the foreigners that this one is spicy. You would usually have to wait for awhile to get a table when you want to dine in and I would say that they dont have the best service because sometimes the waiters ignore you when you call as they are busy with something else or sometimes it takes quite awhile for your food to come out. But I would say the place is still worth to try. It is an average size restaurant but since it is well known it is always packed during lunch time. They usually dont have any fans or AC turned on so it might get really hot. Still… I would recommend the place for you to try at least once when you visit Bali, totally worth it!

We had dinner here just because it’s the only muslim friendly place nearby our hotel. The price is affordable. But the taste is so-so.

I bought this chicken rice because its very famous. The food contains of rice, sayur urap (long beans), Betutu chicken, fried chicken, chicken satay. Minus egg and peanut..maybe because already night and they run out of it. The mixed chicken rice is delicious with balinese spices and flavor. The taste just right how I like it. Its not spicy like other balinese rice. And the price is affordable.

Must try. Spicy alert for foreigners. Be ready for a spicy food. I think it’s the best nasi ayam bali you can find in Bali. The balinese spices blended perfectly and the spicy is right. If you’re a foreigner you might find it too spicy, yet worth to try. Beside rice, you’ll get 3 chicken dishes + veggie + skewer + sambal, and all spicy, but all really good. For those cannot stand any spicy above sri racha (a.k.a toddlers), you can order the non-spicy one. But you’ll get only rice + 1 chicken dish + peanuts + skewer. The only critique is the staffs are lack of smiles. :)
