The Hakgala botanical gardens is famous for this beautiful and extensive rose garden. It comprises of a large area of artfully landscaped double terraces. According to literature there are over 100 varieties of roses in this garden. Some of them are modern varieties imported from England and the United States. The rose garden is at its best bloom during the April holiday season. But even when we visited in early June, there were many blooming roses spreading their fragrance and loveliness. You can see a herb border behind the rose garden.
