A lot of people rate this location poorly because of the confusion surrounding the French vs Swiss side of Geneva airport and the confusing rental car return location. I flew into GVA and rented from Europcar on the French side. I read a lot of reviews and reddits about the process prior to landing. The key to success is making sure that you have screenshots of your boarding passes from your arriving flight so that, after you collect your baggage, exit the secure area, and visit the post office if youā€™re picking up a travelerā€™s wifi hotspot etc, you can (or at least I was able to) re-enter the French side of GVA on foot by simply showing your boarding pass from the flight that you just exited to the agent that guards the passage to the French side. No need to pay for a taxi to drive you around. Then continue walking or ask for help to get to the Europcar on the French side, pick up your car in their parking garage location, which requires you to walk out to that rental car parking garage area, then once inside the garage, immediately to your right and then left down to the end of the aisle of cars. Really really pay attention when you are leaving the parking garage and driving away from the airport towards Switzerland because returning the car is way trickier than you will imagine or anticipate. Maybe even take pictures for later reference. Europcar rented me a VW Taigo which was an AMAZING road trip car. Tinted windows, no ā€œIā€™m a touristā€ rental car stickers, great autopilot features that detect and adjust the speed limit (which happens every 25 feet), great fuel economy, great handling and acceleration, 4 USB-C charging ports and apple CarPlay for integrated nav/music from my phone. Getting the car back is tricky. Europcar staff will provide you with precise GPS coordinates of the drop off location (46.2323646, 6.1104755) because there has been so much confusion, and I have to say, even with the coordinates, itā€™s still very easy to make wrong turns and end up adding loads of time to your delicately timed morning. So first of all, leave waaaay earlier than you think. Second, when you get close, drive slowly (seriously) so you are certain about your exits and turns before committing because itā€™s tricky. Trust me. Same process to get to Swiss side from French side after your return, just ask airport staff for guidance to walk back to the Swiss side from the French side, and show the staff your upcoming flight boarding pass and theyā€™ll let you through, then go through passport control and security and youā€™ll be fineā€¦ no taxi. Super friendly Europcar staff on the Swiss and French sides. Also, bonus, my French side rental car already had the required Swiss vignette sticker. If yours doesnā€™t, no worries, just get it at / near the border. @nuckleberryfinn

Just returned my rental vehicle 3 days ago. Getting to the rental area was no problem. Just read the signs(French side of airport). The staff were cordial and tried to get us to upgrade or add more coverage(every rental company does this so donā€™t take it personal). Car was excellent and went with the full coverage. If youā€™re used of driving in Europe donā€™t take full coverage, but if not have the peace of mind to be fully covered. Returning the car was easy thanks to email with exact GPS location. Will definitely rent again with this company.

They claimed that they don't have my car and I need to pay more for better car. I refused but they change their behavior and delayed me more than 1 hour. They took 100ā‚¬ deposit and they didn't return it! It's very poor customer service. Moreover, there was one Egyptian guy he came later and changed my car. I don't know why but it was really weird. In my opinion, I think you should respect the customer choices and proceed with the booking without making pressure to change his car. I made my plan and you should respect that. Moreover, customer service they should more kind to all people. It well make people life much easier.

Easily some of the rudest service I have ever received. Blerim was curt, and disrespectful. His words and actions suggested I was in control of delays to my flight and at the border. He clearly was on his phone throughout our interaction. My presence at the desk was clearly an inconvenience, he is an appalling ambassador for the company. Refused to honour a booking I had made saying the car had been given away, I was forced to take out a more expensive vehicle. When I later got to the pickup I saw a vehicle of the exact class I had booked waiting there. This is not a busy place, there is no excuse. The service is appalling.

Company operates illegally and are scamming people. After booking a hire car via an intermediary firm (GotRentalCars), this branch have seemingly accepted a booking with summer tyres. In the same way that having a car without a steering wheel is illegal, summer tyres are illegal to use in the alps this time of year. I was left with no choice but to absorb an unpleasant and unexpected additional ā‚¬160 upon collection.

This company is full of fraudulent employees. I returned a car yesterday and I have full insurance + I made no damage to the car but the guy who took it from me recorded all the old damage in the car and asked me to sign, I told him this damage is old and you can check, he replied do u have a video when u got the car! What! You want me to record a video!! Is this how the company take proofs! When I said no I donā€™t have a video he said ok do you have full insurance? I said yes he said no problem you can sign and all is good. Today I received the invoice with 87ā‚¬ as damages admin fee! Shame on those employees for scamming people. Will never rent from this company anymore and this is my only bad experience dealing with car rentals in Europe.

I arrived to the Geneva airport by plane. Getting through the airport to the French sector and renting the car was pretty easy, just follow the signs to the French sector. The car was clean and in very good condition. Returning the car was a nightmare though. I tried using Google maps to get to the French sector, but it took me to the wrong place.Europcar gave me a photocopy of a map with instructions on which exit to take, but it wasnā€™t helpful enough. To get there, you have to enter the town of Ferney and then turn left following a sign towards the French sector of the airport. I returned the car after working hours, and there was no sign or instruction telling me where to return the key. I went to the Europcar desk in the airport and no instructions there either. It turns out there is a safe box on the side of the desk, hidden from view. Next hurdle was getting to my hotel on the Swiss side of Geneva airport. You canā€™t cross to the Swiss side of the airport unless you have a boarding pass, (or at least a return flight within 24 hours according to the guard). You have to go back to the parking lot, call a taxi company from those listed on a sign hanging on the wall, and hope a driver will agree to come at that hour for such a short trip.
