I went to Vieux Bois to view a room that I had reserved together for an event. I asked the receptionist if I could see the room that we reserved to get an idea of the size and layout for the camera, sound etc. The receptionist said that this was not possible without an appointment. I said that I only needed to see the room for 10 seconds to get a quick idea, I indicated that I needed to submit requirements for the equipment by the end of the day. The receptionist told me to wait and went to discuss with the maître d'hôtel. The receptionist then came back and told me that it would not be possible and sent me away. Since I had to submit requirements for the equipment, I looked online for room. On the plan that is published on the website. Astonishingly, the room Dunant is the room directly behind the reception, which was open as a restaurant. The most contemptuous treatment by a maître d'hôtel that I have experienced in my life. What treatment can we expect for our invitees?

Excellent restaurant with great service and wonderful created meals. They are presented very professiobal and are a pleasure just to look at. The vegetarian plates we were offered here were very impressive. We started with a starter made from different carrot slices that were presented in a circle and tasted delicious. The main course was some kind of a potato base complemented with fried tofu slices, which looked like potato toes but were not. Also, the dessert was a pleasure to look at and tasted as well as wonderful. With the coffee we were presented for fried pieces of dough, which I was told were apparently typical swiss, but I did not like them as they were rather dry.

The service was supberb. Food was delightfully plated and very delectable. The dessert was impressive. Excellent job for these culinary students 👏 👍! We would be certainly return when we visit Geneva again.

We were in the International District and decided to try this restaurant. My husband read about this culinary school restaurant the day before and since we were in the area, we decided to try it during lunch. They were very busy and glad that they had an open table for 2 since we didn’t have a reservation. The host and our server spoke English and we received excellent customer service. We had one of the best Swiss meals and service during our 2 weeks vacation in Switzerland. We wanted to eat dinner the Sunday before Valentine’s Day but they are not open on weekends.

I specially mentioned being vegetarian in the booking form (no meat, no fishes, no crustacean, etc.) I was proposed a starter with meat. I mentioned in person being vegetarian. I received a "fois Gras Creme brûlée" and bites in because I was in a conversation and didn't heard that is was again not vegetarian. I mentioned the error. I received apologize and a vegetarian starter. Which I accepted. The service asked me if I eat shrimps. I had to explain what means vegetarian, what is pescalian and what is omnivore. These basic wordings and definitions, must be thaught if not already. The risotto was served without shrimps. Hoping that they were not cooked in shrimps bouillon. Personnel where very friendly and good willing, overall great experience, I do recommend the experience. Last but not least hint : the online booking system is very good but a field asking for any additional comment, in which I wrote being vegetarian, must be considered this would have helped in avoiding my unfortunate experience.

What a great ambassador to the students chefs and waiters this restaurant is! The Geneva Hotel School houses this restaurant. We arrived with no reservations at 1:30 pm after a tour at the United Nations which is steps from the Vieux Bois. As many Swiss restaurants close at 1:30 or 2 pm, we were pleasantly surprised that they served lunch until 2:30 pm. Service was very kindly and efficient. One of my guests was from the UK and an English menu was available. The menu had few dishes but they were imaginative and of high quality. There were a few vegetarian dishes. Prices are reasonable for the quality. When we left they were setting up for what looked like a birthday or wedding reception, so you may be able to hire out this venue.

Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. Nice to see great student work at this restaurant. Good news for future of the world cuisine.

I had a farewell party organized here. The food was very good and refined, the service impeccable and the ambiance perfect. Thank you to all the vieux bois team !

Beautiful location, wonderful meal. Most of the servers are in training, so some hiccups can be expected, but I found them all to be sincere and earnest in their desire to perform.

Perfect restaurant especially when attending a conference at the Palais de Nations due to its location right outside the UN premises, excellent food and high quality- as well as flexible service.
