We
stayed
for
two
nights
as
part
of
a
group
of
40.
The
room
was
nice,
the
location
brilliant
and
the
staff
were
friendly.
However,
Our
room
was
billed
as
a
garden
room
with
lake
view.
It
did
not
have
a
lake
view,
in
common
with
50%
of
this
room
type.
The
view
was
of
tall
trees.
Also
the
“garden”
was
merely
a
muddy
patch
with
some
weeds.
This
is
a
design
fault,
the
trees
immediately
to
the
south
and
the
high
hedges
either
side
mean
that
grass
will
never
grow
here.
The
gardens
need
paving
over
to
the
end
of
the
hedges.
As
we
were
catered
for
in
a
big
group
then
one
could
perhaps
forgive
the
limited
choice
and
run
of
the
mill
offering.
However
what
cannot
be
forgiven
is
serving
meals
that
are
completely
cold.
Not
just
a
bit
warm,
I
mean
completely
cold.
The
hotel
simply
could
not
cope.
Just
one
small
thing
would
have
transformed
the
offering
from
bad
to
acceptable,
investing
in
a
plate
warmer.
Hot
food
put
onto
stone
cold
plates
and
then
left
while
the
inadequate
number
of
waiting
staff
got
round
to
delivering
them
equals
cold
dinners.
