Where should i even begin? Many campings seem to have terrible reviews for no reason, but I assure you, this one is awful a best. It is situated in an industrial park, where people drive really fast(cyclists beware). When you arrive at the campsite, you are met by a gang of rambling alcoholics and some suspicious looking people people discussing what seems to be criminal activities. After paying 43 euros for 2ppl and a tent with no electricity or car( 3 times as much as for your average campsite) we arrived at the tent area, which was littered with plastic. After paying 3 times the regular price you would expect some great views and activities, but all you get is the view of the lovely nearby construction site and the awfully loud planes flying by at low altitude 24/7. NEVER EVER STAY HERE, THE PLACE IS THE WORST!

I don't even know why we stayed there, any of the other reviews was so clearly pointing out that this place is camping hell... We had no choice as there was nothing else available and we wanted a shower at least The doors to the mans shower do not lock, by the way. Honestly we did not even put the chairs out. We left right after sunrise as the atmosphere was indeed like being in a Tarantino movie. The residents on site have their own area, the one for the visitors is actually showing you your place in the food chain. I don't want to repeat all the words written before. They are true, every single word Just one clear advise, don't go there. It's expensive, scary and not worse a cent. You will even feel better staiing on a Motorway Parking overnight. Terrible! We even forgot or been too scarred taking a photo.

Don't go there!!! Aside from the extremely over priced pitch and overall horrid run down grounds. We almost got mugged, we walked into the forest beside the river, my husband and I and our 2 small children. We were approached by 4 men. Very scary experience. I will never again head to a campground without looking at reviews first!

Cyclists avoid! In an industrial estate and massively overpriced. Seemed like a place most people live in the caravans, children really loud and up til late and right underneath the flight path. Only positive is that the toilets are clean. We were told the reception had been robbed recently so if you must stay here then keep everything in your tent and tie a guide rope to you bike from your tent. We paid 33 swiss francs for 2 people+bikes+tent.

worst camping experience ever! first impression was a drunken man who startet flirting with me and my friend. The camping was not clean at all, as well as the sanitary facilities. A lot of pichtes are very f**kd up, like out of a nightmare! We didn't felt safe or comfy at all. The fact, that in the middle of the night, another caravan parked in out pitch because they have rented the pitch double, was very scary! I can not recommend this camping, especially not for families or two girls! FYI: there is also a asylum seekers home direct on that camping, which isn't decalred.

One star for the friendly lady at the cashier but office opens only by 10am which is late in opinion. Old caravans are rotting away in their lots and airplanes flying over it until late at night. Not recommend. There are probably better places to stay nearby

Basic campsite, does the job if you want to visit Geneva. You get travel cards for free travel in Geneva. Toilets and showers Spotless. There are a number of long-term residents but we found them fine, sitting out under their awnings having a few drinks in the evening but the place was pretty much silent by 11pm.

The manageress deserves a gold star as she is working all day non stop from what I can see. Its under a flight path in an industrial zone, so don't be confused by the green on the map. Looks rundown, and the owner needs a good lesson in asset management, but I doubt he'll listen. Good showers but two taps are leaking. Find a level tent spot is not easy if you are late. Outrageous 25€ but that's the financial mugging of visitors that is Swizerland.

This campsite provides all the basics you need for a few days, seen some terrible reviews but it’s really not as bad as it’s been made out to be.

We got here after a despicably long ride through the most horrid industrial zone in Switzerland, and with planes flying just above our heads. Our first impression of the campsite was pretty bad : a bunch of smoking, drinking and suspicious-looking fellows carelessly discussing in front of the entrance. The hostess was lovely, but a quick tour of the campsite finally helped us make our choice in favour of another campsite : the camping of the Val de l'Allondon. Once we got there, the receptionists told us that the camping du Bois de Bay was actually a place of political and war asylum ! It explained a lot. So, to sum up, I wouldn't recommend the Bois de Bay campsite as the place isn't the best, but the Val de l'Allondon campsite is definitely to visit ! Those are the reasons why I give an average rating for this campsite.

Should not be advertised as a campsite as it really is not suitable for camping! It is right under the flight path for Geneva airport with constant air traffic. Pitches are rough with no upkeep. Majority of statics are occupied by refugee or asylum families. Nothing against them but does not make for a holiday atmosphere. Cars constantly going in and out, being used by taxi drivers as a base. Very expensive. Outdated facilities. Situated in an industrial area. Very poor all round. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Bois-de-Bay 19 is a small camping area located in Satigny. It's cozy and calm, meant for tourists and refugee families. It's clean and fun with families from all over the world. Great place to for a brief visit.
