Gorgeous park. Shame they don't advertise COUNTY LICENSED DOGS ONLY before you get there.

Definitely a good dog park. Separate gated spot for small dogs, no litter, plenty of benches, safe entry system. Glad to see they fixed the turf on main play area.

We take our dog to the dog park regularly. You need a pass from the county. They come around occasionally to check for passes. The park is well maintained, they provide bags. A large & separated small dog area. Gravel walk around path, picnic tables (I don't recommend bringing food!!), benches. There is a water pump outside the area. We bring water & bowl and share. There is a Forest outside the dog park. Free parking. The lot is small, however people come & go regularly so be patient and someone will leave.

A great place to take your pup to go off leash. Also it is a great place to walk while your doggie plays. Also has shelters. So rain or shine its a great place for your dog to play. It can get muddy though if it rains alot

Love the dog park here, it's on the smaller size but you can keep an eye on your pups almost from anywhere in the park. My dogs love being able to just run full out here, and most people who come here are considerate and watch/clean up after their dogs as well.

Our dog loves it here! We try not to take her right after it rains because it definitely gets really muddy, but if you aren't afraid of that, people still go and your pup will have other dogs to play with. There is a small dog and big dog section to allow smaller dogs to play with friends their own size. There are fewer dogs in the small dog section, but I think people with small dogs like it that way? I'm not positive. It's a really nice place to hang out while your dog gets plenty of exercise. We haven't personally had any issues with overly aggressive dogs or neglectful owners, but have heard there are a couple bad apples to watch out for. Still would highly recommend, but you should always keep an eye out for your dog.

This has to be the best dog park ever!! I'm amazed. It is huge and sooo beautiful. It's very clean, with trails around the park. Dogs are great with responsible owners. Forget that tiny dirty dog park by me that requires a passcode. This park is a paradise for the dogs and humans. So happy we found this gem!

I love this dog park - it is surrounded by beautiful trees and grassy wild growth in the distance - The off Leash dog area provides plenty of trash receptacles and bags as well as multiple different benches and picnic tables - I appreciate the fine gravel wide path to walk around- and the center fields with plenty of small trees for dogs to run around and explore - we love this place - well worth the permit fee !

Been coming here since 2010. Beautiful, well kept Dog park. Seems so many people there with unsupervised dogs in the last month or so. ( not picking up after their dogs, aggressive behavior) I think whom ever checks petmits, should be checking a bit more. I know a few of the people I have spoke with there, said they were not aware they needed one?! Hmmmm... My dog was attacked there 6 weeks ago. He had to have surgery with many stitches and tubes in his throat. He is ok now, thank God! The person who owned the other dog, paid the whole bill. But, think certain breeds should not be able to go into park or should be kept leashed. Bottom line: Have a permit! Watch your dog(s) at all times and pick up after them!

We love going to this dog park. It's a very nice space for our pup to run around in and make friends. A handful of the dog owners we've met know how to read the dog behaviors. The parking lot isn't that big for how popular the park is. Which can be frustrating, I dread the future of heading to the park, with my car anxious dog, just to either risk parking on the shoulder of the lot or road or to turn around to go home.

We love taking our dog here. They have a small and large dog section. It is gated and always a fun work out.

Nicely maintained off-leash dog park. Good owners and dogs. Only one poor incident in going there 3 years. Need to have paid fee before come. Water pump outside in warm weather. Bags and garbage cans available.

Safe, fenced in, fun place to let your dogs go off leash. The dogs enjoy each other, we enjoy petting the dogs.

Huge open area dog park, friendly dogfolks, easy to access, open walking paths nearby for a leashed walk in amazing wilderness

We were so disappointed after visiting Mayslake Forest. It was a beautiful day. I wanted to be able to join my family and pup outside for some fresh air. We expected the walkway to be handicap accessible but it was packed gravel not paved. It’s very difficult to maneuver on that type of surface.

Don't keep your dog indoors when such good place and well accessible is right in your backyard. Membership isn't expensive and you get to use doggie bags that are provided right in. Please clean after your dog. Park visitors are basically nice and mannered with others and with other peoples dogs

Great spot to bring your dog. The dog park that we frequent in Chicago is closed for construction, and Cowboy was getting a little wild without an outlet for energy. Looked up places for him to run and this was the first one we tried. We went on Saturday 11/7 and it was decently busy when we arrived. Small parking area, but lucked out and got a spot. There's a nice loop to walk and there were tons of dogs for Cowboy to chill (i.e. sprint around) with. We spent about 90 minutes there, and there weren't any crazy dog owners or helicopter parents, which is good. DuPage County Forest Preserve Police showed up to check permits near the end of our time there. Officer was respectful and just asked folks to show him permits as they were leaving or entering the dog park. We had spent the money on a one-day pass, but the lady in front of us got popped for not having a permit, so the officer was busy writing a ticket as we were leaving and didn't ask to see our permit. I'm fine not talking to cops, even if they do just work for the forest preserve, but I would recommend spending the money on a permit if you go as they seem pretty serious about enforcement.

Really nice park. They have a separate area for small dogs in case you don't want your little one to get run over by the giants. In the larger dog area there's a pretty good size walking path loop and a lot of grass and trees for the dogs to race around in. When we went (Sunday around 1p) there was a constant flow of dogs coming and going so our pooch had lots of friends to play with. The park has a handful of benches and picknick tables for humans to sit at. Great experience.

👍👍 These photos were taken July 2022, almost a year ago. I haven’t been back recently, but definitely a serene place. Been here more than once. It has a beautiful path to walk, run, bicycle. The scenic view is meditative. I’ve only gone in the mornings before 10am. I’ve never seen what looks to be a...
