I been to different locations which was a good experience. The food there tasted pretty good that I would drive 20min to get my spicy butter sandwich. Unfortunately, this location doesn’t seem to change their oil.. the fries were hard and over fried and the sandwich was very hard and over fried .. honestly it didn’t even taste like fry the coop.

This place will curb your itch for a spicy and juicy chicken sandwich. The next time you’re in a mood for a good chicken sandwich, skip Popeyes and KFC and go straight here. You’re welcome.

My first time- chikin sandwich, mild, Memphis style. It Was a religious experience. Omg, the mac n cheese was the best I had. My buddy had a hot sandwich, he was in tears. He failed to read the fine print.....Ghost pepper! Jan2021 , I got my wife to try the place. Chikin tenders- you have a new fan. The seasoned fries are very delicious. They got the carryout down pay. Dont forget to tip. Chicken n waffles are unbelievably good. The best I have ever eaten. At noon, we were first in line today 3/7/2021. By the time we finished our order there at least 8 people waiting g. The folks behind me were excited, it was their first time. aug 2022 chikin n waffles super delicious The garage door was openn nice breeze. May 2023 chikin n waffles!

I love Fry the Coop. They have the best hot chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted, hands down!! However, their fries always disappoint me. Every time I order fries (for $2.99), I end up getting a bag full of potato crumbs.

The chicken sandwich was very tasty and well seasoned. Just right kinda spicy. No issues with the food. However, the back kitchen area and those aprons are filthy. Someone should be cleaning periodically. Also washing those aprons wouldn't hurt anyone.

Love love love this place. Best Nashville style chicken sandwich in the Chicago land area that I have tried. Me and the wife love this place. We get the Chicken & Cheese and it's so darn good. We get the "Hot" flavor and it's super spicy but taste good to us. To a lot of people it's too hot but we eat a lot of spicy food. Love their sauce they put on their sandwiches. Wife says they have the best pickles she has ever tried. The Coleslaw sandwich is super good and I don't even like Coleslaw. Lol. I've tried their donut sandwich as well and it was pretty good. Love their fries as well, glad they have good fries because I'm a big fry lover. Wish they would open one by us in the Plainfield/Joliet or at least Naperville area. Pictures don't do justice. Definitely recommend this place if you want a REAL chicken sandwich. Forget Chick-Fil-A or Popeyes chicken sandwich, they don't have nothing on Fry the Coop.

1st time here & we enjoyed the coop. My wife got the Nashville chicken burger with cole slaw. My kids shared the original chicken tenders, & I did the chicken (habanero) & waffles. My wife enjoyed her chicken sandwich which had a mild spice, by the end of the sandwich her hands were covered in condiments but she said she loved her meal. My kids loved the original tenders which wasn’t spicy. They said there fries were there favorite things since they had really good seasoning on them. I really enjoyed my chicken & waffle. As a proud member of #TeamWaffelsOverPancakes The waffle was amazing. Light & crispy with a hot maple syrup cup for dunking. My chicken tenders were very spicy 🌶️ even lightly seasoned with habanero, even with the spice I loved every bite. We will definitely be back for more

Aside from the outstanding chicken, the restaurant's menu offers a variety of delicious sides, including mac and cheese, cole slaw, and waffle fries. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a great spot for fried chicken, Fry The Coop is a must-visit!

I got there just as it was closing a few days ago the manager Ivan still let me in as his last customer for the night as he saw how desperate I was for the amazing chicken. Thank you so much Ivan. Also the girls that served me that day did so much to me not only did they treat me great with a welcome in they gave me such great service as well I highly recommend you come here. Thank you Dream and Jacqueline for treating me so great. I know these two girls gave me the best customer service. I tried to give them tips in cash for their great service but they didn’t want to take it. I was extremely pleased with them, there service and their friendliness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and PLEASE COME CHECK it OUT. You will not regret it. THE FOOD,SERVICE and STAFF ARE GREAT☺️🙏🏻.

When they first opened years ago, I was so excited to FINALLY find a place that did chicken and waffles right. The sandwiches are great too, and the fries...there's nothing bad on the menu. A menu that's refreshingly small, by the way. Some places have such bloated menus, they offer 50 different things and all of them mediocre. Fry The Coop's menu is like, 5 items. They pick one thing to do and do it EXTREMELY well. Everything's made fresh, and they can get pretty busy and backed up, so be aware. Call your order in ahead of time, or be prepared to wait a while. If I had one minor nitpick(not enough to lose a star over, but worth mentioning), it would be that the heat level on the lower end of the spice scale where I reside can be inconsistent day to day. Sometimes you get a Mild sandwich that's too hot, or a Medium that isn't hot enough, etc. Always delicious, but the burn level is a dice roll. Well, that and they play Christmas music before Thanksgiving, which is a faux pas for me. But the food is so good I'll let it slide. 😛

Ordered the sandwich and it was meh. Compared to other places in the city I was a bit disappointed. The fries look like as if it was the bottom of leftover fries. The location better shape up before the run they had before the epidemic comes to an end.

Fry the coop has the best chicken sandwich. You must try their Nashville fried chicken sandwich medium level just enough to feel the heat!

I wish I could give a good review on the chicken since I ordered chicken & waffles but unfortunately my order only came with waffles. I live a 20 min distance from this establishment so I tried calling to let the restaurant know of the honest mistake but the mailbox is full. So far the mac & cheese was good. The waffles were tasty from what I tasted.

This is not nashville hot chicken. Nashville hot chicken isn't covered or smothered in spices, its the hot oil that adds the depth of flavor alongside the spices. There is so much seasoning on the chicken tenders it makes it almost disgusting. If you've had real nashville chicken, like Hatties, you know this is not it. I'm giving 2 stars because I ate one chicken tender and devoured the fries. They didn't have mac and cheese, which was sad. The fries were delicious and seasoned well. Overall 50$ for the food was slightly overpriced, we drove from naperville to try, would we come back? Definitely not.

Great place! A coworker recommended one of the other locations and I said "I have one of those by my house!" Since then, I've turned on at least half a dozen people to Fry the Coop. I like them much better than that national chain that seems to get more attention. Staff is always on top of things and the food is first rate. And a special shout out because a few years back when the pandemic hit, they literally modified the front of the store and revised the ordering and serving process, and handled it about as well as any business I know. I really appreciated that extra effort in service of their customers and employees.

Food was decent but wasn’t a huge fan. Didn’t like that there was bacon inside my waffles. I didn’t see that on the menu. And I don’t eat pork.

I've been coming here since the open Location opened and I love the food, especially the hot stuff! Atmosphere is almost always great, there is always people in the dining area enjoying themselves and it's not LOUD!. Service is normally very good, although I have been here 15..20 times since they opened and service is normally quick and courteous. Today 8/19/2023 service is slow, and the 3 people ahead of me (and myself)all had to inform the staff that there was something missing, or that their food was "to go". I'm a little disappointed but a 1 time "so-so" experience won't stop me from coming in.

I have been coming to the Oak Lawn location since they opened - and all through COVID as well. The food is always amazing, the employees are great or they get replaced, and the atmosphere is amazing. This place - hands down - is the BEST Nashville Fried Chicken restaurant outside of Nashville!

My first time trying the Nashville Sandwich. With coleslaw seasoned fries deliver a bit cold but the day was cold. Food was good a bit cold and even after I reheated. Next time I’ll have to stop by and eat it at the location try it warm. But overall I loved it

Man the disappointment is real😩. Chicken was bland and breading was almost burnt 🤢as a first time customer I wasn’t greeted in or welcomed in, the cashier guy w the beard didn’t bother to explain anything about the menu when he asked what flavor I wanted of heat for my tenders I asked what kind are there? He just gave me a blank look and pointed at the little sign as if I’m supposed to know there menu by heart 👎🏼😂when we got our order I went with my sister , the chicken was mildly warm not fresh at all felt and taste like it was old under a hot lamp. The coleslaw was so so cold as if it was in the freezer for so long. Mind you you have to order your sides like fries , drink separately which cost so much more when they could simply have meals. Save your money and go to Chick-fil-A.

Walked in thinking I could handle the hot stuff, the associate taking my order suggested to trying the sauce before ordering. BINGO he was right that's sauce is super spicy. I took it down a notch. The food was ready reasonably fast, dining tables were dirty but staff cleaned per our request with no hesitation. Overall I recommend to try.
