Had a lovely little date night with the husband here for dinner. The food was so good and really fresh! The staff was very attentive and friendly, even with how busy they were with other guests and take out orders. I give them all the props! We'll definitely be back!

I don’t know why I did not review this place sooner! It is by far my favorite restaurant in the Oak Park area, and one of the only ones I am a regular! The coziness of the place is charming, only a few tables plus the sushi bar, and then the food… another level. There is no better sushi in the area and I would debate if there’s better sushi even in Chicago. Ingredients are fresh and quality is insane. On top of it, service is awesome and they always have a smile and are ready for you, but without rushing you at the same time. Simply amazing! I’ll keep coming forever I guess 🔥😁

A truly unique and genuine sushi joint. The food was great. The meats were very fresh and sliced to perfection. The staff is very hard working, motivated and makes you feel welcome. Also the bathroom was squeaky clean! 5/5! OH! THE GREEN TEA CREME BRULEE HAS BEEN MIND-BLOWING! TRY IT!!!!!!!

Delicious sushi. Very fresh fish. We also ordered miso soup and iced green tea. It's amazing. Good service, very friendly. This place is very small so it might be difficult to find seating for large groups. Great for date night. Chicago roll was the best.

Went here for an early dinner. Service was friendly and prompt. It was a very hot day and the cold Wakame salad was a great refreshing and filling choice.

The bento box lunch specials are probably the best value in all of Oak Park. So much good food for a really reasonable price. I've had the steak, chicken teriyaki, salmon, and tonkatsu bento boxes. The salmon (pictured) is definitely my favorite!

Sen Sushi is a tad hidden off of Oak Park Street near Addis’ Cafe. It’s a clean no frills place that offers good amount of specialty rolls and great Sashimi and Nigiri sets. They don’t take reservations and it is small, but seems like turn over is pretty fast. Definitely a place to try if you want decent sushi this side of the burbs.

I stopped by here with a friend and I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of the fish along with the preparation. I definitely will be going back

The food here is amazing. I tried like 5 different sushi and it was the best I ever had. Definitely recommend. The food also gets done quick and you do not have to wait long.

AMAZING! A cozy, casual hole in the wall with a breath of modest elegance. All dishes are made fresh to order. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. For those of you with a love for sushi, I highly recommend SEN Sushi Bar. If you are feeling adventurous, then I recommend requesting Chef’s choice. We did, and he prepared us a dish not available on their otherwise robust menu.

Great menu selection and great service. Quite a small space, so you may or may not get a table depending on dinner rush.

This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the Oak Park area. Their maki rolls taste fresh and are well prepared. The service was wonderful and our server was very attentive. Make sure to order the green tea creme brûlée for dessert - it’s the perfect way to top off your meal!

Beware of predatory tipping practices. If you order take out or delivery and don’t tip at order (versus, uh, once we the service has been rendered and you know what you’re working it) they will hold your order until food is bone cold. Planned on tipping in cash on both instances but waited over an hour and was met by rude behavior. This has occurred both with take out and delivery. Food is not good enough to justify such behavior.

This is a restaurant to go to if you enjoy sushi. Large and delicious trademark rolls are available. Unlike some establishments where you only get rice, every roll contains a substantial amount of fish. The space is quite compact. It can accommodate about 30 people, including at the sushi bar, in my opinion. You won't have to wait if you arrive on a Saturday at approximately 5 o'clock. You might have a long wait if you arrive any later. There is no waiting area and no reservation policy. Once you're there, you may order your rolls quickly because there are numerous sushi chefs working there. Although you don't necessary need to hang around there to get amazing sushi, you might feel compelled to.

I stopped here for a quick maki lunch and it was unbelievably delicious. My avocado roll tasted so fresh and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The interior is also cool and quite the vibe.

If you show up on a Saturday around five, there won't be a wait. If you arrive any later, there may be a lengthy wait. There is no waiting area, and reservations are not accepted. Because there are so many sushi chefs working there when you get there, you can order your rolls immediately. While it's not necessary to stick around there in order to enjoy fantastic sushi, you might feel driven to.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box with an additional spicy shrimp roll for takeout and it was very tasty. The real surprise was the miso soup. I don't like miso soup but this one had the perfect ingredients and the tofu had a great texture. I ate the whole thing while it was hot. I think the dipping sauces could have been tangier. It tasted a lot like plain hoisin sauce to me and I am not sure what the lighter sauce was. If it were sweet and sour, it also could have been customized. This plate is pricey enough not to have the sauces lack creativity. The choice of what I assume to be a peanut ginger dressing for the side salad was interesting but I ate it. The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant was packed while I waited for my food. The service was standard. Overall I would come back.

Lovveeeed this place. They make good use of their space, the service was quick, and the servers were really welcoming with smiles all around. Best of all was the food, which was delicious. The beef wrapped asparagus was great. I also had a glass of the plum wine, which was also very tasty. A wonderful sushi place to try!

The food and service here are simply excellent. I have never had a bad meal. They do take out as well and the food is packaged well and ready fairly quick. Sen is our go-to Oak Park sushi!

Sen sushi is my go to sushi spot. Very close, walking distance in the summer. I love the cozy interior of restaurant. I typically order sushi on the weekend for delivery or pickup. Just depends on what I’m doing. Their online ordering system is easy and the food is always delivered in less than the predicted time on the website. The sushi itself is SUPER fresh and the rice is prepared to perfection. Some of the apps don’t travel as well as others. The chicken karagge is juicy and crisp at the restaurant. I throw it in the air fryer at home to help it out. The takoyaki is my favorite. Crisp and the combination of sweet and savory sauces and the bonito flakes are next level. Truly a gem of oak park.

This place was amazing!! I got the blushing geisha drink, and my companion got the mojito. They were tasty, particularly mine was quite delicious. We also got the Chicago, Oak Park, oshinko, demon rolls. All super tasty! The oak park was my favorite! However all of them were so good. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other things!

Open floor plan with an airy atmosphere. Great food with tender meat, fresh ingredients, delicious flavour. They have vegan dishes as well. The Halo-Halo dessert with purple yam is one of my favourites. I have to come back to try the other dishes.

Had a wonderful time! Rolls were excellent, and sashimi/nigiri was just perfect! Staff was helpful and attentive. We were starving, so I'd already devoured most of our meal before getting pictures, but what I did get was my miso bowl, Spider Maki roll, the tail end of the Philadelphia Maki roll, and my Maguro sashimi. The Saba nigiri was also fantastic! Can't wait to come back!
