This place is heaven. I went here on Sunday and I absolutely enjoyed myself. From the outside this place looks small, but you quickly step inside a leafy green oasis. Even for a weekend visit the place wasn't crowded and I only crossed one other couple in there. I didn't expect to spend a whole hour here & I'm looking forward to going back already. They also have parrots! Skipper, Sara & George! George was super vocal & adorable. Admission is free & street parking nearby is free. The inside is pretty warm & humid for the plants so expect to sweat a little. There's a cute back area that looks like it will be fun for kids. I definitely recommend going & enjoying yourself!

There is free 2 hour parking on the front. Admission is free, just need to checkin at the front desk. Donations are welcome though. This is a small conservatory with 3 rooms in total. Got a good variety of plants for the space they’ve got. They also have a few parrots in cages, it was fun to interact with them. The small pond only had a couple of kois though. Definitely worth exploring if you are in the Chicago area.

Great place for a children’s birthday party! Heather and Ivory were lovely to work with and the private outdoor space is so nice. With the gardens as entertainment you can’t beat this place for the under $700 rental price tag.

I was absolutely amazed at the beautiful indoor landscape of Oak Park Conservatory. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend taking your family on a tour to enjoy the lush greenery, and the beautiful exotic parrots. It’s free to the public as well.

Really impressive conservatory for a small town. Includes 3 large rooms with a wide variety of plants. The new(ish) outdoor play area is really nice, too, and is a great way to teach kids about local greenery! best part is it’s free!

Although not super large, the plant selection is still quite impressive. There were a lot of cool plants that stood out to me. The parrots were really cute. :) Sara is my fav. She's a great dancer. You can also purchase some seeds and plants near the front desk.

Oak Park Conservatory has many learning activities to pass the time. Many plant species thrive in the indoor conservatory and the carnivorous plants are our favorite. Typically spend a half hour or so in an easy relaxed environment. Have fun spotting Turtles and Koi while talking to their African Grey and Parrots. Oak Park Conservatory is must visit place for families, visitors and locals in Oak Park.

A little tropical paradise for this island girl stuck in the cold white north. Seriously, during a recent snow storm, I came here and almost cried with happiness at seeing green and smelling plants and humidity. The staff member who greeted us was very friendly and you could tell cared about the place. Oh, andThey require masks (thank you!).

A small but, well maintained conservatory with a small koi pond and 2 parrots who whistle to get your attention, plus a couple of gardens outside. It's a great pick me up when the weather outside is not cooperating. It's free to go to but, nice to give a donation to help with upkeep.

Nice gardens to visit. Quiet. Can spend a good hour there. Parking a little wonky because you have to walk to the front of the building and there is a busy street right next to the sidewalk.

Nice but small. Only spent about 30 minutes here. Much smaller than any conservatory I’ve ever visited. But it was still very beautiful!

i love visiting this little gem in Oak Park. It’s such a peaceful place and just wonderful to see all the different plant species in such a small conservatory. There is even a parrot that says “hello” 😃 Especially a great place to come do your forest bathing in the winter. Please make a small donation to support the conservatory.

Small but awesome variety and very quiet and quaint. The also have very friendly, and some talking birds in the greenhouse. A great place to walk through and read a book and take in the view.

Lemons the size of your face!!! Giant koi!!! What's not to love! The Conservatory is a great place to escape the winter chill, a pouring rain, or the summer heat. Something is always in bloom! Strollers allowed! And donations accepted but not required. Make sure you sign in at the front desk!

My kids love it, very well organized and I could see some plants found in my country, like cocoa tree with fruits and also a coffee tree among others. The cactus 🌵 is also amazing.

Went for a birthday party which includes a room for the party activities and a scavenger hunt in the conservatory. Outdoor kids garden is small but fun interactive space.

This is one of the most gorgeous little treasures we stumbled across. My children loved seeing all the different plants and playing outside. We were all so impressed with the desert greenhouse and the different cactus plants! My sons favorite part was the terrarium of carnivorous plants!
