Stopped in here for a spot of lunch with a friend but really wish I hadn't. Before the food even came I went to the toilet and found all 3 cubicles in various states of disrepair. One was out of order, a second had no seat to sit on and the third didn't have a functioning lock. The food was equally disappointing with the burger coming out luke warm and with a very strange consistency, almost if they were frozen burgers cooked in the microwave. You couldn't pay me to come back here, avoid

Food was absolutely top notch, probably the best meal my friend and I have ever had. We both had burger & fries, then I had sherry trifle cheesecake, and my friend had sticky toffee pudding and custard. All absolutely delicious! The only thing that marred our experience was the lack of staff which meant service was slow. I'm not blaming them in the least - they were rushed off their feet but remained calm and professional throughout. With only two taking all drink and food orders, plus showing people to their tables, plus one extra person who was bringing food out, I think the owners need to reevaluate whatever staffing policy they have in place, because they will end up losing both custom and good staff if they don't

I have never been made to feel so welcome in a restaurant in my life! From the moment we walked in (no reservation) nothing was too much and it really was an amazing experience. My little one thoroughly enjoyed his Yorkshire pudding & ice cream that a member of staff recommended! Already looking forward to the next visit!

Arrived here at 12 for lunch. Greeted very politely upon arrival. Told who our waiter was for the afternoon. Given a loyalty card. Seated. Whoosh! What a time to be alive. How could this possibly get any better!? Well, it doesn’t. Our starters were okay but the mains seemed like they’d just been put together from the freezer aisle in any supermarket and cooked in a fancy restaurant kitchen. Unfortunately that doesn’t make the meals fancy. They were pretty poor. Pie looked like I made it, and I can’t cook. I’m afraid this bumble bee needs to find better pollen. Sorry 😔 On the plus side: I rolled up the loyalty card and it makes a great kazoo.

Buttermilk Chicken Strips and Popcorn Chicken it was nice you get 2 chicken strips and 4 popcorn chicken it was nice and cooked, The Ultimate Spicy Beef Burger was amazing and cooked perfectly as well and full of flavours, The Ultimate Southern Fried Chicken Burger was all so called perfectly and full of flavours they was amazing and would eat them again they was two let's downs one the Menus was Sticky and dirty and the French fries was Lukewarm and very hard it felt like it was recooked and given to us again not good at all did not Enjoy it at all I would come back and just have the Burgers by it self if they do it cheaper with out French fries

We came here for my son's 12th birthday. They accommodated a table of 12 and allowed us to come over prior to the meal and decorate the table which was a nice touch. Service was polite and efficient, food was of a high quality although quite pricey now even with the '2 for 1' offer. We brought a cake which the staff were happy to keep behind the bar for us until it was time to bring it out, which they did for my son! Nice place to go for a family celebration or even just for a casual meal.

Came with visiting friends as it has always been 2 for 1. The manager said it stopped 2 months ago which is not so as we came 11 July 2022 and that was 2 for 1. The manager said they had lowered the prices as sirloin steak used to be £20 and it is now £15. This still costs a lot more as you could get 2 for £20 now 2 will cost £30. That is an increase of £10. Also there is no waiter service you have to order either at the bar or scan a QR code to order. Not what you expect in a restaurant. The food then took 40 minutes to arrive and then the waiter stood at one end of the table and asked us to pass the plates to each other. As for the uniforms some were just dressed in sports shorts, t-shirt, trainers and an apron. Very unprofessional I thought. The manager was rude and I was left embarrassed to recommend it to our friends when we could have had fish and chips. From the local chippy.

Cracking food, best version of hunters chicken that I have ever had! Southern fried hunters chicken is well tasty. Service was good and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

When we arrived we sat out in the beer garden and we ordered on via the QR code. Amazing Gluten free menu, even desserts which I got to say isn't usually an easy find. We ordered two burgers (1 GF) Our food took around 10/15 minutes to arrive which was fine, but our drinks didn't arrive until we were half way through our meal, not at all what we wanted. We asked the staff member who brought our food over and she said 'I work in the kitchen' which is completely understandable but she could have at least flagged this up to the bar. It was not at all busy and there was no reason for them to take 30 minutes bringing drinks over. Other than that food was lovely and will go again with hope that the service is better.

We visited late afternoon so there were not many people here, however the welcome was friendly and welcoming. Some of the items on my plate were slightly cold but the steak 🥩 was cooked to absolute perfection. Never mind the rest of this rating or post, just try the bloody steak 🥩 absolutely amazing.! Whoever cooked this steak 🥩 is a wasted talent.! Come work for me.!

Dave was under pressure but more than made up a very short wait by giving excellent service and food. All of the staff were very friendly. Dogs also had a warm welcome

Not too bad a place, it was clean and the food pretty good. Staff were nice, but very short staffed, had to wait a long time. Come on management bump up your rating!

The staff are friendly and really helpful but they were very understaffed and as a result service was very very slow. Pub itself is nice and clean. Nice decor.

Booked a table for 8 tonight, arrived with the table all set for us. Drinks served immediately. Waitress serving was really polite and attentive. Food was excellent and served very quickly. 2 young waiters serving and clearing plates was well mannered and professional. Cannot fault the service recieved. Only wish I took names to credit them all. Thanks guys, very well done. A credit to the restaurant.

12 of us had our Christmas Dinner today and as usual the service and food were impeccable. Food was served at just the right temperature and each was more than enough seving and delicious. A big thank you to all staff for looking after us so well. We will all be back in March to sample your delicious menu again

Visit this restaurant regularly and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to help you, the food is always wonderful and is great value for the portion size you get. Lovely friendly place that’s always clean and welcoming:)

My partner and I ate there two weeks ago and vowed never to go there again. It was freezing cold in there, no music or staff. The manager/assistant manager would occasionally come behind the bar before disappearing back in to the kitchen (where all the staff were blasting music, arguing very loudly and messing about. A man was openly touching himself in the pub and out in the beer garden, two teenagers were in the beer garden and then at the main door throwing big stones at and kicking the glass, shouting and swearing at people inside. Three kids running around and messing inside the pub unsupervised (we assumed children belonging to staff), a long wait for food (45 minutes, and during the entire time only one starter was brought out to another table despite the fact that the pub was very quiet), the pub including the tables were not clean and the ladies toilets were disgusting. No toilet paper because it was all strewn over the floor, toilets were dirty, toilet seats broken and hanging off, no soap in dispensers and floor was absolutely soaking. I walked in, looked around and walked straight back out without using the facilities. Food was not good either. We both had the mixed grill, both were cold and overcooked and steaks tasted more like liver than steak. Have been customers at the bumblebee for several years but after this experience we will not be returning, very disappointed. Especially with the lack of customer care.

What a difference a makeover makes! On the first day opening after a refurb and Team The Bumble Bee did not disappoint! Atmosphere was brilliant; vibrant yet relaxed. Food was presetned beautifully and would definitely recommend the cauli cheese to compliment your roast dinner. Great work from the kitchen team. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Fantastic service from Libby and Owain on the bar. The hard work by Dave and his team is really showing - The Bumble Bee is in a much better place now! Well done Dave!

Delicious food and very nice atmosphere and very good service definitely be going again.and sorry for the small portion off food their was a lot more on their than that.I couldn't resist not taking a picture of something i released half way through I need to let the locals new how nice it was and also the staff.

Staff very polite. Food was cooked to perfection. Restaurant well presented after refurbishment. However, incorrect description on menu to what was served. Lack of information on type of service ie. Table or bar service. No eye contact from staff when entering eating area. Appears to be lack of staff training in hospitality. Again, staff were lovely but need better training.

Very rare a food place has five stars from me, but this place definitely earned 5 stars today! Food was amazing outside of KFC this place has an amazing chicken burger, my girlfriend loves her turkey dinner and the little one enjoyed his tuna melt. Everybody said they'd happily have food again there and the staff were incredibly helpful

I booked for a family 80th Birthday celebration meal, for 15 people, via the booking facility on the website. It was an immense success. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, in particular the manager Dave, who all made us feel valued and welcome. Food was fantastic and selection available on the menu was great. Everyone was impressed and found their favourite! Very professional but with some personal touches, would highly recommend. I have dined with our large family in my establishments, and few accommodate us as well as the Bumblebee.

We had a 3 course meal. The food tasted good. I think that if you put a bit more effort into how things are presented then it would be good. We had garlic mushrooms which were several mushrooms in a pie dish. I felt that if they were on a plate with a few salad leaves then they would look more pleasing to the eye.

Went here for Sunday lunch 02/04/23 Meal was very disappointing and tasteless. The meals were served on large plates but there wasn't much on the plate. The gravy was watery, the Yorkshire pudding was soggy and the beef was very chewy, accompanied by two small roast potatoes, peas and carrots . Based on this meal I wouldn't recommend . There are nicer places to eat locally, and better value for money .

We had a very pleasant visit. There was a short waiting time to be seated however this is expected with the day and date we when. The staff was more than happy to help and very friends. The food was amazing and the place was spotless 😊

Myself and my 2 friends had a lovely meal last night. The food was of a high standard and the staff were very helpful. The floor manager was also very nice, he thanked us as we were leaving.

Had a lovely meal for 2 to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely and with such a varied choice, there's something for everyone. The staff were very polite and our waitress, Shannon, was really attentive, helpful and friendly. All in all, a lovely place for a relaxing afternoon/evening.

Absolutely beautiful Sunday roast. Dayton (miss spelled) was a lovely lad, very attentive server. Polite and outstanding with my young son who has additional needs. Credit to the company. Tipped him £10 to be told its shared with all staff which isn't fair but he made it positive by telling me it is also shared with the hard working kitchen staff. Very pleased with our visit today and have booked again for next week

Greeted very quick as we walked into the building and was sat down within a minute, brilliant service staff very friendly, we had Jen as our server and Matt brought our food. Food was tasty, props to the chefs! Throughout our stay we were asked if we needed anything and how was the food etc. Amazing staff. Food had us so stuffed we couldn’t walk, will definitely return.

Me and my Mrs had an amazing time tonight. The food was absolutely amazing! I had a Rump Steak with Scampi and she had a Chicken Tikka. I’ve never had steak so good before! Excellent service too! We’ll definitely be coming here again!

On arrival I was greeted with a big smile and welcomed. As a walk in I wasn't sure if a table would be available but it was. Service was okay to start with, my partner had the fish and it was like a brick 😂 bang it against a table and you could hear it the other end of restaurant. The only positive about this experience and why it's a 2 star is the big friendly welcome from the lady behind the bar. Didn't see our waiter all evening, had to keep going up and down to the bar for the lady to help me.

Lovely food, check out the mega meals selection (which are also included in the 2 for 1 offer!), busy restaurant, advisable to book, staff were friendly and great at their jobs. Apologies for not leaving a tip; we didn't have any cash on us and there wasn't an option on the card machine. Would suggest one thing to Marstons, probably have cutlery and sauce stations in the restaurant to take some pressure off of your wonderful staff. Will be visiting again. Thank you. :)

Good place for a quick dinner. Can be hit and miss but overall a nice meal. The Pepsi off the pump always seems flat though. Shame they've dropped the light bites off the menu and also the pizza off the kids one. They were our frequent orders!

Promptly shown to a table by a pleasant member of staff who was polite and welcoming. Another colleague took our orders when we were ready and there was no pressure. Service and quality of food was excellent from start to finish. Well done to the team at the bumble bee.

Pretty standard pub grub, but the staff are really friendly and helpful. When there was an error with my meal, they went above and beyond to rectify it.

What a delightful find. Gluten free menu has so many options, including dessert. Dedicated fryer for chips (fries) and genius bread for sandwiches. Wonderful service, warm clean atmosphere. Very friendly. Vegan and vegetarian choices as well.

I don't often leave feedback as most eating out experiences are very samey. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. Service was prompt but we didn't feel we were being rushed. The value for money was excellent and all the food was nicely presented. It all added up to a very pleasurable experience.

Mid week visit, not very busy, welcoming staff, clean tables, food ordered at table either via App or waiting staff. Delicious meals arrived quickly. I had Veggie Burger, which was yummy! Desserts were excellent and would go again.

Place was lovely and clean with nice decor. The staff were attentive and extremely pleasant and chatty. The food was served quickly, was nice and hot, was tasty and the bill was less than expected with 2 for 1 on the meals. My daughter even had her desert free as a solo diner as there were 3 of us. Couldn't fault a thing.

Went in for sandwich decided to have tea with southern fried chicken with side order of onion rings ... Next time will look at the top of menu, as did not notice it came with fries so had a good lunch food was great, lush, did not enjoy the cup of tea it was to strong for me would have preferred tea pot with a pot of hot water as well, could make tea as I like it problem is they have these machines that pour it. Again Loved the lunch tasted great .....

Sunday lunch was lovely, really tasty and generous on the roast potatoes. Cauliflower cheese portion is enough for 2 .

Staff are very friendly and it's good to see they follow the equality standard with varied staff. We were served by a lovely girl who had good knowledge of the menu. The order through the QR code is not very good as you can't customise your order, so we had to go to the bar to order, which I prefer anyway. The kids meals are large and would be big enough for an adult, so my kids were very happy. We visit here quite a lot and the food is always great. Burgers are NOT rubbish microwave food, they are decent quality for a franchise pub.

We really enjoyed our time at the Bumble Bee. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Very good value for money. Will be going back there again.

We went for some food for my daughters birthday, she is coeliac so upon arrival we asked for a gluten free menu which was provided (not told to download app or go to a website, which drives me crazy). Food was really good, my daughter enjoyed her gluten free selection and dessert. We will definitely go again.
