Last Monday, there were 8 of us at LB and we had 2 complimentary baskets of chips, and had to pay $3 for the 3rd. Technically, 4 tables of 2 each would have each gotten a basket, or 4 total!! We've been going for nearly 20 years and have brought many people with us, parties of 8-14 or more. Our bill for 2 averages about $60 per week plus tip. I realize that prices have gone up due to Covid but how much can a basket of chips cost!? We will continue to go on Monday nights since we enjoy the food and atmosphere, hence the 5-star rating, but feel the charge for chips should be reconsidered.

This is was our first time Coming to La Bamba. I came with my wife and our friends. Our server was very nice and friendly. Chips and salsa were first brought out they were delicious, it was only the start. We all got fajitas, steak and chicken and the veggie. it was all very tasty. The reason for us going to dinner at La Bamba was because I got a flat tier on the highway and was waiting for AAA for hours no one would show. Ray stopped on the side asked if he could give me a hand with the flat. He had it fixed in 15 minutes. I asked what he did. He said he and his family Owned the La Bamba restaurants. I wanted to try it. I'm so glad we did. It was fantastic. We will come back for sure. Great service awesome food.

We came for an early dinner and like others that left reviews, we were shocked to see a $5 charge on a refill of chips and salsa. The server pointed to it when she brought back a menu of course with the fine print. Not once have we been in a restaurant that charges for refills on chips and salsa which costs less than a drink!! We come from Texas where chips and salsa is a staple in a Mexican restaurant and they do not charge you for refills on things that are supposed to be complementary in the first place. Keyword “supposed to be.” Name another restaurant here in Fort Lauderdale that charges for chips and salsa refills! There were 4 of us seated at a table and the chips come in a TINY basket in the first place (see picture). They aren’t even generous with the initial serving. La Bamba should offer 1 basket per person if that’s that case. Because that one basket was gone within 2 minutes of us being seated. We spent over $150 in food! In La Bamba’s response to others concerns, it’s to curb food waste, etc. You’re a restaurant. You’re GOING to have food waste. To La Bamba: Maybe you should charge for your rice and beans or make it optional since they are mediocre anyway. Unless you can come up with something different than the other responses you gave on people complaining about your $5 chip refills, just save it.

First La Bamba since before the pandemic! 🎉🌮 Grateful to be celebrating my Grandmother's lap around the sun a bit early, and La Bamba made us feel safe, comfortable, and FULL with all the delicious Mexican eats. Tables are safely spaced, and some staff were even double-masked. I noticed proactive cleaning from all staff on the floor and behind the bar, and the food was just as wonderful as I remembered. THANK YOU, La Bamba, always happy to support and start visiting again.

Went to the La Bamba restaurant for lunch. The food was good and tasty. The staff was very friendly and professional. Parking was no problems with lots of parking spaces. Thanks for reading my review and a helpful thumbs up would let me know someone else reads these reviews. Have a great day.

I cannot recommend for delivery. I've had every delivery order from here missing an item. It's unfortunate since I like the food, although it's pricey. The manager promised to make it up to me, but when I reached out I was ignored. Oh well, there goes giving them a second chance I guess. They make so much money, what difference does it make losing one customer? They are good at responding to these comments in the reviews like they will right their wrong, but do not follow through. You'll probably have a better experience dinning in if your willing to pay their prices.

Good Mexican restaurant the staff is very friendly. The food overall was pretty good. The salsa is homemade and fresh which was very good. It’s one of those 80s maybe early 90s interior that has seen better days. Their prices are very good!

Who really considers this good Mexican, LOL. The reviews were very misleading. I will always excuse a bland/basic space, if the food is good. Unfortunately this is a basic space.. with basic food, at best. Chips tasted like burnt oil. Easily worst fajitas I have ever had too (plate of soggy vegetables.. doused in an inch of oil… and thick tortillas wrappers that felt like they were straight from the grocery store.. not warm, not soft). Eeeks!!! Save your money and your time - and go elsewhere!!

Being from Texas. I love Mexican food. This is the only place in South Florida that I've found that I like. Love would actually be the word for it, the food here is amazing, and so is the service! It has been jam packed every time I've been here, but our food always comes out lightning quick . I go to Florida every year and I fine here every time, sometimes twice!

You guys are the best. We have been coming here for over 30 years. Has it been that long? Great family owned place and the staff here are amazing! Many have been here for years and everyone is treated special. The food is more tex-mex to me but always consistent at the price points.

Excellent food, wow what a great cheeseburger - surprisingly for a Latin/Mexican restaurant so good ... delicious, great food all around, authentic, reasonable and wonderful service. We dined in and also called in a large order for the football and baseball games and picked it up, so good -very organized and brought it out to the car and put it in back seat, amazing service - especially Valeria, excellent service. highly recommend - great drinks also

This place used to be much better, the margaritas pitchers have gone up ( which is understandable), but they didn't seem to have as much tequila, the food is pretty standard and way overpriced. One of the dishes we had was cold, the waiter was incredible, I wish I remembered his name...all in all its okay, not memorable...tequila sunrise is much better...a friend was visiting and wanted to go here, I mentioned tequila sunrise and that's where they said they go..all the locals...

7/26/22- wow sat at bar w/Roxanna. Very personable. Chips were nice and warm. G had the palomino steak came w/very good plantains, white rice and black beans . Steak was cooked perfectly. I had the steak taco , there 2 round taco shells. But soft . Also came w/ white rice and refried beans w/ melted cheese on top . So good. 5/20/2021- got parking yuppie, we were taken to a table In back. Big place. As soon as s we sat the guy came with the warm chips and 2 mild and 1 spicy sauce . Both real good. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine , took almost 10 minutes to get them. Chips real good. Then I ordered their Costilla de Puerco, fancy for the pork chops , very flavorful. Hubby had the NY Steak, which we read they cut their meats . Who knew. A bit tough, mentioned it to the server and she said well how’s the temperature and it was cooked perfectly medium but it still was tough.Hubby got the white rice and black beans , I asked for there white rice and I got retried beans with the big piece of melted cheese on it and delicious plantings cooked perfectly. All and all ,guess we just didn’t order what we usually order here 9/22/2020– As you pull in the parking lot on the north side they have orange cones along the building for your pick up. We ordered a head of time and number one and number seven for lunch the girl came out gave us a credit card thing and gave us the food and off we went food is always consistent no chips were to go but that’s OK cause it’s plenty of food Number one was the quesadilla I ordered chicken with it no problem. Number seven what is the baby Palomilla which came with of course white rice black beans and plantains a packet and start a phone not crazy about that but the food was great the service was g Oh my so full. I ordered the combo #4 , Burrito with chicken , yellow rice and refried Beans with all that melted cheese . So yummy. G had the#7 Baby Palomilla ( sp ) with white rice and black bean’s and plant

Atmosphere is great, food is okay. This $5 for an additional chips and salsa is ridiculous. They claim it’s food waste which is a pretty lame excuse. They say they’re competitive pricing for the quality of food. No they’re not. Quates Mexican restaurant on Andrews food is good, and they don’t nickel and dime you on their chips and salsa if you want a refill. This is just another greedy owner or manager. This will be our last time here after coming here for 3 years. Our waitress said she gets complaints about this too and management does nothing about it. Get it together LambambaSocial!! Especially for the prices you charge! $15.50 for 2 beef tacos.

We've been coming to this location for many years and have noticed that the food and service have been progressively getting worse as time has gone on, not better. It doesn't matter how many good reviews you read about any restaurant because you never know if they may be written by someone from the restaurant or not, but there are very few bad reviews that are not 100% accurate! Last night, we went there for dinner and my wife ordered her favorite Chicken Fajitas. When they came to the table, they were not "sizzling", as all fajita dishes do and appeared to look very dry. The chicken actually turned out to be dry and tough to chew and the richness and the flavor of the fajita's seasoning was almost non-existent! She ate some of the dish, but could not finish it all. We asked for to-go boxes when we were done, since we were paying for it. She was deciding how she was going to possibly steam it the next day to get rid of some of the dryness. When we told the server about how poorly it had been prepared, he started to pick up the dish to throw it away. We told him to leave it and just bring the boxes. He refused to leave it and said he will take it to the manager. He returns and says he told the manager. About 7 minutes later, a man slowly walking down the aisle, stopped by our table and stared at us for a few seconds, then just says "Hello". My wife then asked him "Are you the manager?" to which he just replied "Yes". She had to initiate the conversation to describe the condition of the meal. When she was done, he then asked "What do you want me to do?". My wife and I just stared at each other somewhat puzzled. He then said "If I make you another one, it's going to taste just the same." With that comment, we told him to just take it off the bill. He turned and started slowly walking away. I called to him and said I had another question. He did not even turn around!....... He was only 5' away and I called to him in a loud voice. The server happened to come to the table at that time, so I asked him my question instead. I said "Isn't the fajita supposed to be sizzling when it comes to the table?". He said indignantly "Yes, of course!". I asked him "If that is true, then why did you bring ours to the table NOT SIZZLING?" He made no comment, just said I'll get your check and walked away! I normally would not go into such depth with a review, but my wife woke up with food poisoning type symptoms today and since the server took our food, I can't verify that the chicken was the cause. I know it's only speculation, but the server was told NOT to take our food and he did anyway. Under those circumstances, I have to consider the worst! La Bamba has multiple locations and I will be forwarding this to corporate in the hopes that situations like this are addressed and other customers not need to suffer in the same manner.

There are no gluten-free options for those with Celiac or other such allergies... I could not eat anything at the restaurant, so I ordered a peach margarita, and even the juice had gone rancid, and I had to send it back! I literally sat with my party, yet could not eat anything! In times where people have so many food allergies it's shocking this restaurant had no options at all. Will never go back.

This location was nice. We were seated very quickly and our food was awesome. The parking is not good at this location, we had to park across the street at the bank. But I recommend this location.

Restaurant for many years and with 6 locations in the South Florida area. Good parking and open until 10pm... Excellent and friendly customer service. Very kind and smiling ladies who attend and make your stay pleasant, nice. Of the food, well, the rice, very rich, I liked it. As for the rest, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations... I did not find any flavor or seasoning in the dish I selected, Tacos with chicken. I hope your experience can be better than mine.

Food was a big mush. And the bad service wasn’t any better than the food. To the point where the couple next to us called for a manager because the waitress was so rude. Plenty of better options to choose from in Fort Lauderdale.

The quality of the food is excellent. Service is top-notch. This is everything you could expect from an above average Mexican restaurant. I've been several times now, including lunch today. I am impressed by how fresh the ingredients were and how quickly the food came out. If you're in a rush let them know and they will help you.

Food is good, nice flavor. Margaritas are not good. The mix flavor they seem to use instead of real lime/lemons makes it too acidic. Lemonades taste the same. You can tell they don't use real limes/lemons. Service is really good. Very kind staff.

I really love the food and the Margarita. I was very disappointed today with the dish I ordered to take home as they simply barely put any meat in my order. But I will not stop going there as the environment is nice and I love the food and the drinks. Hopefully this is a one time incident.

Food was good. The kids with us got a quesadilla and I think that looked better than my chimichanga! Very quick service and friendly staff, I'd come again!

Authentic Mexican in a great atmosphere. Lots of fresh food. I’ve had the fish tacos and they were so good. The taco salad was not great as it was almost all meat. They have great kids meals. They also have a great bar.

The food was good but the service was very poor. The waiter not attentive at all. The margaritas were sad and over priced. 5 years ago when I lived here the food was great, drinks the best and great service. I remember the great manager named Lucia was always checking the tables to see every one was taken care of. Now awful service. This was always one of my favorite restaurants, always packed and people having fun. Today, there were less than 10. I wonder why.

I visit this place at-least once a week with my son and I’ve never had a bad experience. Food comes out always in a reasonable time and their chips are too die for. The one waitress I normally have is awesome don’t know her name.

I had taco salad, chips, salsa, iced tea. Food good service good. A little pricey on the food; drink prices are outrageous! $60 for lunch for three and that included tip. No $10-$15 margaritas!

  • 4/5 Joyce H. 2 years ago on Google
Our experience there was very nice. I had the enchilada dinner and it wasn't quite what I expected. But my two friends loved their meals; one had the Burrito dinner and the other friend ordered the steak fajita. Their meals both looked yummy! The service was impeccable! That's what made our experience there exceptional!

If I coukd give it 0 stars I would. Service is slow, order was lacking all ingredients. Appetizer of super nachos consisted of 7 or 8 tortilla chips, just a terrible experience. And for it to be labeled Mexican and Spanish food should be a disgrace to anyone of the Hispanic or Mexican culture because it's not even close, DO NOT RECCOMEND

We stopped in for lunch since we were on the east side of town, and I'd been craving Mexican food for awhile. When we arrived, we were seated immediately in a booth. Our server came to the table and asked what we wanted to drink. I was eyeing the Margaritas, and I was stuck between the watermelon and the blood orange. Our server explained that they were out of the watermelon flavor, so blood orange it was! He asked if we wanted guac or cheese dip with our chips, so we opted for the cheese dip. He left to get our drinks and chips, and left us to peruse the menu. When he came back with the chips, I ordered the Verde Burro (burrito) which comes with green sauce and Monterey Jack, and hubby ordered the Burro Dinner (burrito). The food came out in a decent amount of time, and was piping hot! The burritos come with a side of yellow rice and refried beans. Everything was fantastic! This was exactly what I'd been craving. Overall, we had a great experience here. The parking lot is ample, the restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. We will definitely be back!

Food was great, but the server was as dry as the tortilla chips. The food was prompt and flavourful. The fried ice cream and the fried apple burrito was excellent.

Stopped in with friends from out of town to share an early dinner. The margaritas were good, but kind of overpriced for what we got. By the way you are better off ordering a pitch of the margarita as it will be a better deal. They brought chips and salsa which were very good, both the spicy and non spicy. If you wants more chips you will be charged for them, just a heads up. We ordered the mexican pizza and quesadillas. Both plates were very tasty. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. All in all it is not a bad place for food or drinks. Will we return? I would say it is a 50/50 shot.
