I recently rescued my dog and wanted to take her to the best vet , I decided to come here since the reviews are good and it's a big company, however I ended up being very disappointed with the service , this because: I scheduled an appointment for 3/3/23 which I attended but they were not able to do anything with my dog since she was not letting them, that is ok I get it, she is not aggressive but I know she might have gotten nervous, the point here is that after I was told that they literally were just able to see her teeth and then I was charged 96$ for that and some pills for her to be calm for the next appointment. I'm a new customer and you did not attend your patient but still charged for that, I just don't get that part I would've happily paid for the pills for the next appointment and that is it, (the pills were 26$) but I don't get why I had to pay for a session that did not succeed the way it was supposed to. At the reception I talked to the receptionist which scheduled an appointment for the next week which was yesterday, I called yesterday to confirm and they did not have me in their system and the only thing they offered me was to come at 5pm( I scheduled it to be at 6 pm because I couldn't make it at 5) the other option was to come the next week, that is totally unacceptable. In conclusion, I paid 96$ for nothing.

What can I say. Very informational to any subject or about any animal. All the staff there including managers have that store amazingly clean, organized and they ask you if you ever need help. And even when you say no, if you at that momment have a question in a isle and walk to find someone they see you and know you need help and ask. And everything on their website listed for sake you will most definitely find in that store. I've bought a new 40 Gallon tank and took their advice and everything turned out great. No pressure and no spike in your wallet. Very good for all pet needs.

I felt like a valued customer while shopping. Devon in the fish dept was so helpful & kind. Bobby was just as hospitable while checking me out & even signed me up for rewards. Thank you for a great experience.

Lucky they are there on Sunday Baby's I rescued from starving to death... 2 are dead and 6 I will save and they need -A HOME! Only bones and skin and diarrhea... Doctor took fecal sample and I can treat all of them now with the right med.

Petco was my to go place for my Dixie, but somehow the one in Commercial and Dixie, Ft Lauderdale have a terrible employees at the grooming area. Very nasty personnel. The other Petco seems pretty great in service.

They did a great job with the grooming, I would highly recommend them.

had Jen help me pick out some tank mates for the tangerine betta fish i bought a couple weeks ago. we settled on 4 cherry shrimp, 3 assorted snails, 1 albino catfish, and 3 neon tetra fish. sadly 2 of the 3 tetra died the same day but everything else seems to be doing fine. 4 stars only because im down 2 tank mates but over all it was a good experience.

I took my 2 puppies to Vetco/Oakland Park Animal Center for their vaccines and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly, the vet was informative, and I was in and out in an hour. I will be back for their remaining vaccines.

Today as I was making my purchase on cat food, there were some mangled cans of the cat food that I sorted out. I asked the cashier if she could sell them to me at discount. She said all she could do is half off. I said no and another cashier proceeds to just dump then in the trash in front of me. Funny, rather throw away the expensive mangled RX cans of cat than just give them to a customer, and do it right in front of the customer willing to take them for free then pay for them as they might actually be bad. Makes me want to dumpster dive. :)

I love this store! Every time I go there I have such an easy experience and its always a treat I get to bring my dog yuna with me. Today was a great example of just how much this store is always there with the best customer experience and I wanted to show appreciation to Adriana for helping me out. My dog yuna was placed on prescription medication that we purchased through her vet the first time. The second time around I thought the process would be simple purchased through one of the pet stores in the area. I had issues every step of the way today trying to order this new prescription dog food. I was not able to order it online through multiple pet chains or purchase it in person due to issues with the pharmacies getting ahold of the prescription from my vet. For some reason, when I initially tried to order online through petco it had said unavailable for pick up. Thankfully after exhausting all options, I tried again and just set it up for delivery. That is when I got the notification that it was in fact not eligible for delivery but available same day in store! I immediately placed the order and petco contacted my vets office just in time! but I was still unsure and a little anxious so I called the store and Adriana was so helpful in not only reassuring me that they did have the food in stock but also brought it up to the counter so I can go ahead and pick up it up. When I got to the store Adriana was the person who helped me at the register and was so kind and bright! I know she doesn't know this but it had just been A DAY and nothing was going right trying to get this food and what was supposed to be a simple task became a difficult task. She was just that reassuring voice/person and sense of relief at the other end of the line after a really crazy experience. So I wanted to say thank you for the quality customer service and thank you to the store for having that food in stock because it is not any easy food to get. and thank you to Taurean for being kind and providing me with his teammembers name so I could leave this review.

Great selection! Fresh catnip over priced. Always contribute $$ to Cat Rescue there.

I just love it. I never feel like a bother asking questions there. Thanks for making this specific location my go-to.

Petco is definitely overpriced and there is many sales associates to assist consumers. They sell finches and parakeets but not bird perches🤔🤔 I had to order perches from Amazon

Associate wouldnt let me buy 2 catfish because "they are social fish" and I have to buy 3 or more. I appreciate people caring for animals but I'm buying 2 and putting them in a pristine and fully stocked freshwater tank. I mean if you're concerned about the welfare of fish maybe do something about all the bettas sitting half dead in those little cups of water?

The groomers at this Petco location are extremely helpful with our dog's grooming needs. He is naturally an anxious dog, but every time he knows we are going to see his favorite stylist Emily, he is overcome with excitement. After his appointment, he is literally is a brand new dog, not just because of his haircut, but his attitude overall. Thank you.

I went to this Petco about a week ago and purchased a female beta who was in a gross cup of water. I got my fish home- doing everything fish parents know to do. And 2 days later, she died. Then the rest of my sorority, that was established over a year, all died. During the week they were dying I attempted everything to save them. Also for me to write this review; it definitely takes a lot as a I was a manager at a pet retail company. I’m shocked and saddened at how this happened. I had to watch them suffer and it was heartbreaking. I know it’s just fish but when my kids are distraught because they loved these fish…it’s hard to handle! So IF YOU LOVE YOUR FISH FAM NEVER BUY FISH HERE OR IT WILL KILL ALL OF THEM! ALL THE TIME, MONEY AND CARE WASTED.

The place is huge and has such a great selection! They had the hard to find Doggie bags that I was looking for.

Emily from grooming and Erin (I’m not sure of correct spelling) the sales associate. These two gals are absolute angels and we’re beyond helpful and made my new rescue and I feel like we actually mattered after calling and talking to over 11 places in the area to get an emergency bath. Your customer service and hospitality soar above expectations and I hope that petco recognizes you two for your outstanding workmanship and dedication. Took my cat in for exam and was very impressed with vetco in the petco store the staff were very kind and the Dr. Spent alot of time explaining the exam and even showing me the exrays. The cat's fine and Iam glad to recomend them. Remember it's Vetco in Petco.

They had everything i needed ( a life jacket and a bumper) and the groomers were fantastic! Everyone in the store and all 3 groomers were very knowledgeable and friendly! Will definitely go back.

We walk over here 3 - 5 times a week. My rescue dog is getting accustomed to the experience. He loves sniffing all the dog and cat foods, plus the people, and today he studied ferrets! The staff is nice 👍 fun times!
