What an experience! We had an incredibly delicious dinner and then saw the Glenn Miller Band afterward. The food and service was fantastic, and the show was spellbinding. We had so much fun. I really can't believe how the band just captured the essence of Glenn Miller. I left feeling so happy.

Fun date night to watch some show, eat and drink. Little pricey. Good food and drinks. But the drinks weren't all that strong. They have heated lamps while you wait outside to get in. And very tight seating.

Speaks for itself. Medium well pork chop with sweet potato, apple garnish delectably insane. Paired with one of their strong but good mojito cocktails my birthday dinner was MADE.

First visit to Yoshi's and was not disappointed. Intimate venue to attend concerts from top smooth jazz artists in the country. Seats bit tight. Great burger and fries. Validated parking was a nice amenity. Look forward to a future visit.

When I say accommodated ? We received immaculate service from beginning to end where we dined in for dinner with a large party of 11, then on to the live band performance in the next room. Despite purchasing last minute show tickets adding extra guests to our group, they were able to ensure we sat together for dining and even provided decent seating in the music venue. The food was beautiful, sushi was colorful, and the vibe was very very classy. My only critique is the drinks were a bit overpriced $17 for the average cocktail that were pretty ordinary, but the overall experience is a must.

This is a classy place. Make sure to have reservations, especially since most folks come to eat then watch a show. I had some incredible scallops and took in a show on the weekend. It was amazing and loud! Only major downside is that it's right next to the train so there is intermittent very loud noise.

I love Yoshi's. I've seen some awesome people here. Repeatedly. The food is delicious, whether you're dining in the restaurant or eating at a show. If there's an artist that I like performing here, I'm going to see them. I prefer the later shows...they feel longer.

If you happen to stay in Oakland Jack London Square, then go to this restaurant. The staff is welcoming and service is excellent. Thank you Morena for having us! You are exceptional. The food is light and so delicious. Please explore beverage menu!

We ordered The snow crab roll and the shrimp fritters. We were told our salmon would be torched and it came out pink. The fritters and creme Brule and coffee were all outstanding. But our skewers were underdone as well and we had to send them back. Drinks were not the best. It may be time to revisit their drink and take notes from some of the trendier bars around town. Service and atmosphere are great. Our waiter Alex was really nice.

Food was phenomenal and the restaurant server was great. However, the server in the jazz area was disappointing. She was kinda slow and when I paid cash, she kept .89 change and only gave me the bills back. But the live music was amazing. Eric Darius blew the top off!

Yoshi’s a one-of-a-kind experience that can only found in Oakland. Alongside the restaurant there is a venue where some of the best artists perform. food is amazing, and the atmosphere is brilliant. If you’re looking for a new experience to add to your date night, I would definitely recommend Yoshi’s and see who’s performing that week. I got the privilege of seeing MonoNeon and it has been by far the best show I’ve been to. Prices are affordable and location is great.

Yoshi's has been around forever as far as I'm concerned... I was introduced to Yoshi's as a Jazz Venue. I didn't know they hold all sorts of other shows as well. It's a great venue to come see a show. Cozy, with good views and a decent sound system and some very good performances... Just don't eat over here! While it's nice to see the food is finally getting better, it's far from good. At least it's not as abysmal as it used to be. There are sooo many better options in the surrounding area, especially at the same price points. The drinks are pretty good though. #Adulting: ~ zamani mojito - 4/5 - toki japanese whiskey, pineapple juice, lemon A solid creative Mojito, it does taste different, but in a good way. ~ state of zen - 4/5 - roku japanese gin , lemon , cucumber , shiso leaf A refreshing Gin Cocktail. Light & satisfying. Bites ~ Japonese - 3/5 A mediocre Sushi Roll. You can get something comparable at Safeway...I kid you not. ~ DUCK CONFIT SPRING ROLL - 3/5 Just a crispy fried roll. The name, the presentation and the description sound much better. It's OK, not bad, definitely edible, but nothing to brag about. Do yourself a favor, go eat elsewhere and come in a bit early for a drink or two then go enjoy the show. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you!

First time visiting Yoshi's. Went to see Eric Benet. There's a parking garage on the side of the restaurant; very convenient and wasn't full upon our arrival. We had reserved seats which allowed us to be seated a hour before the event. Although it was not necessary for us to purchase, we did place orders for drinks and sushi. Both were great! Eric sang at least 8 songs 🎵 The whole experience was well worth the price.

Quite impressed with this place, haven't been since the one in SF, some years ago. Great food, and the show atmosphere was great, saw Jon B !!! I will be back for sure. Can't believe I forgot about Yoshis, and they are celebrating 50yrs !!! Well done !!!

Overall food was good, the place was busy so service was a bit slow. Looks like they were short staffed and our server was pulled into the show. Someone's else took over and just left us the check without offering us dessert but I wouldn't discount the place for a one off, especially given the difficulties with staffing these days.

Yoshi’s, located within the Jack London Square waterfront district in Oakland CA, is the place to go watch and get wowed by the most amazing musicians. I had the pleasure of watching Spyro Gyra. I’ve been a fan for a very long time. We had the Kazuo Omakase and the togarashi kurobuta pork chop. Yummmmm!!! The place was packed and there was a long line of diners who were patiently waiting to be seated. The staff were so attentive and would check on us while making sure that everyone else was having a great time. The delicious food, their loyal patrons, their “must-see” shows, and amazing service … unbelievable experience … priceless ❤️ By the way, don’t forget to bring your loop. I brought and used mine to help focus on how amazing Spyro Gyra entertained us with a number of classic hits from their albums … good times 😍

Sushi to-die-for good, great service, romantic venue and always a great meal. The music venue is double thumbs up too. 👍👍 Not a bad seat in the cozy theater. Great crowds, always enthusiastic. We saw KT Tunstall and she was awesome

The mashed potatoes infused with shishito peppers was a revelation. I have literally never had anything like it. The lobster sushi roll was also tremendous. The flavor on the chicken thigh was muted, but it was paired with the mashed potatoes, so that was okay. The duck confit spring rolls fell flat, but the Kobe beef carpaccio was really good. Robin, our server was excellent, and the venue for the show was perfect. The ambiance and acoustics were amazing. I will be back soon.

A perfect spot for a classy date night. A place you want to leave the athleisure and dust off the Sundays best. The menu is strong, front to back. Not somewhere where you’re going to have the best dish of your life but you’re going to have delectable food with some of the best Jazz and R&B artists playing an intimate environment that feels like you are watching them sing in their home living room.

I can't recommend my dish of teriyaki bowl, no meat. There were giant chunks of carrots and broccoli with barely any sauce. My friend sent back her cold fries, and 45 min later, still no food. But the staff treated us well. The show was awesome, but unless you come in a group, you end up sitting with strangers. They always get great talent.

Came for dinner before seeing an amazing Glasper Jazz show. Server was Sophia and she was wonderful. Attentive and full of great suggestions. The first two drinks we ordered were TERRIBLE. It wasn’t a proper balance in the least so left them on the side & ordered the Summer Snow sake bottle which was delicious. Faves were duck spring roll , A’s and Monkey sushi roll. The beef skewers were very chewy. The dining area is open and a great place to people watch. Bathrooms are clean. The entertainment space for the show was perfect. Nice to see many people dressed for a show. Wonderful atmosphere & experience.

The only detraction from the atmosphere is that Yoshi's is not perfect in that it gets so packed with people enjoying a great meal that it's kind of noisy after what was for us more than two hours. Waitress Uka was perfect. There is plenty of wait-staff to accomodate ALL the customers.

We had an excellent first time at Yoshi's. The parking and validation were easy, the food was great, the service was friendly, and the music and drinks afterward were fantastic. We booked a Sunday night show for Eric Tangel & America and had a blast dancing. I would strongly recommend buying tickets for a show and getting dinner reservations.

There was a bit of a line to check in for our reservation, which was at 7:30, but once we were at the front of the line we were seated and served promptly. The cocktails are great. The vegetarian sushi is average: they have a veggie roll and an avocado roll. At around 9 or so a line started forming for the 9:30 show. We got in line around 9:20 and were at our reserved seats just in time for the show. Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band was incredible.

The "Tokyo omakase" is a lot of food. Don't order more than that for four. It's seriously enough. The fish quality was pretty decent. It was empty at 5:30pm but popping by 6:30pm. Arrive early for seats. The service was fun. It personally was too big and really noisy for me but a great environment for a huge group.

Come for the show, and you might as well get dinner and drinks too! The sushi options are good enough, and the sushi rolls were tasty but the Rainbow Roll didn't taste fresh. Try the Kobe beef carpaccio!
