Come here almost every morning to walk my dog. The morning time not much people around and it nice open walk. It a on leash park only so be careful or you can get a ticket. I sometimes ride my bike here when I get a change. The trail is connected to alamada and oakland so if I want to I can plan a long ride here.

Great walk on the north shore. Entrance close to Harley Davidson dealership. Canal to bridge. Your choice to go left or right. South side is a larger park area. North side continues for about 3 miles from starting point. Many small parking lots along north path.

It's not clear when they open. Online it days they're open at 7 or something like that but I've arrived later and sometimes the parking lot isn't even open yet......same thing with the restrooms. Don't even get me started with the lack of doors in the stalls. If you ever have an emergency poop in the middle of your workout you risk someone walking in and seeing you pooping....

Nice trail by the lake. A little noisy from the airport but so nice to have a place to chill with my dog waiting for a delayed flight!

A relaxing spot to stop for small walk, peaceful ambiance with nice view of surroundings, seems safe at daytime, have restrooms and picnic tables, occasionally watch rowing practices.

What a lovely park. Excellent place for a sunset stroll. The paths are paved and accessible for mobility devices. There are multiple parking areas connecting to the trails. Great observation spot for all kinds of water fowl and wading bird as well as a great cityscape view.

A little slice a heaven. Serene morning walks are great at this park. Open space as well as walkways. It's a bird sanctuary. No walking on the pier from November to March.

It's a lot bigger than you think, and not a bad place to park and talk or short distance walking for whatever reason. Now, of course you should always be aware of the surroundings by all means, and such areas warrant extreme caution and less optimism as a place to chill out a short time for anything as the homeless epidemic has caused multitudes to populate such areas to retain any sense of privacy and dignity in tents and encampments scattered about. Even so, the calming effects of the scenery and separation of the inner city hustle and bustle worked without any feelings of suspicious anxiety or fear. Beautiful in it's natural way, as always.

Only second time there. Found it by accident. And it's just awesome. All I can say is if you haven't been there you should go. If you don't....... Has a couple of entrance points restrooms walkways etc beautiful views. Some picnic tables and of course the birds.

This is a really nice path along the shore line. There are a lot of little park like areas with benches and BBQs for an outing and a great walking/running/biking path. I was able to see SFO and San Francisco across the water, very nice. Glad I was able to have such a nice place to exercise while stopped in Oakland for a few hours. There is parking along the path. I began at tidewater boating center. There is a lot of wild growing anise that smells a bit like black licorice after a gentle rain, as well as the purifying scent of eucalyptus trees, great views of the water. Highly recommend.

No restroom in the first parking lot but if you drive further you will find the restrooms. Sometimes they are closed. Nice biking and walking routes. Lots of birds singing there.

Beautiful Park! Excellent walkways that have stunning views. Awesome herons and avian life. Amazing sunsets. Their is a wildlife sanctuary next to it that is fenced off but full of wildlife. Highly recommended especially for dogs it is VERY dog friendly! It is my dog's favorite park. Lots of squirrels and tons of geese. Watch out because of all the goose poop! There are picnic areas. There are no restrooms or a playground.
