👍👍 Parking for about 10 cars. If you take the path to the right you'll get to the Chabot Space and Science Center. People often mention trails,

Another entrance to the Reinhardt Redwood Regional space! Tons of hiking and biking trails. The wider trails around the edge are off leash for your dog, and the inner ones are steeper and tighter and are on leash only. Can be a bit busy on weekend, but nice trail system with good shade

Pretty much one of the best places of the trail. Almost always parking. Close to the backside of Chabot space Center, dogs off lease, and solid biking all over! Do your part and leave it better than you found it. Enjoy!!

My favorite entrance to Redwood Regional Park. Love the Tres Sendas / French Trail loop that dips down into the trees and has some rigorous ups and downs. Great for cooling off on a hot day due to the canopy and very dog-friendly trails that are too narrow to allow mountain bikes or switchback.

This is the prettiest walk in the Oakland hills. During the summer, when it's dry out, you can go there at dusk and the fog rolls in and sprinkles rain. Goats graze on the hillsides, eating the grass and brush to keep the fire danger low. And the big silver silo of the Chabot Space & Science center juts out of the redwoods and looks futuristic.

This place is so peaceful. Everyone is friendly. Well behaved dogs can walk without leashes. Just a great place to unplug and breathe.

Beautiful place, solid trails with enough room to social distance.

I love this entrance as it skips the way crowded Skyline Gate and you can immediately drop down into the canyon away from the crowds on the ridge trails.

The Place is beautiful and worth visiting, but please beware of possible car burglary (broken windows) at moon gate's parking place. Our car and several others had the passenger seat window broken when we were back, around 5 pm on a Saturday (08/08/20). It's a shame but try to park somewhere with more people around...

Beautiful place for a modest hike/walk. You can head towards Skyline staging area or walk toward the Chabot Observatory and Roberts park. Either way is great walk with gorgeous views. It can get a little muddy after the rains so choose your trails wisely unless you're wearing the proper hiking gear.

Great! Starting point for the trails around here. Limited parking so be aware of that.

Easy access to the park. However, a lot of cars get broken into during the day.

Moon Gate to west ridge trail is beautiful, great views of the valleys and mountains to the east. Red wood Grove down the trail really big old trees for inland canyon.

One of my favorite entrances to start at. My pup and I love all the trails and views that lead into redwood regional from here. You can make this hike any difficulty level you wish by the trails you choose to take along the way, so it's great for all. As well, you can spend as little as 30 minutes or up to hours on this trail pending the paths you decide to take.

This is one of my favorite trails in Oakland. It is a challenging loop with a good amount of uphill. It is beautiful with gorgeous redwoods and even a view of the telecopes.
