I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and I can officially say this is the best pho place you’ll ever have. I don’t know what they do to make the broth so flavourful but it’s addictive. The meat quality is top notch too. I come here weekly and they’re always consistent. The owner also makes sure we’re satisfied with the service and food which shows a lot.

It was my first time dining at Black Bull restaurant and I was amazed by the quality of the food. As someone who moved away from my city a long time ago, seeing a Hanoi delicacy here in the middle of Toronto brings all the nostalgia. The taste is very similar to the original dish in Vietnam. Moreover, the ambiance is cozy, and staff is welcoming and very friendly. Highly recommended!

Our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We got here right when they opened and was welcomed so warmly especially having our daughter with us. The menu was very easy to navigate and the service was quick. We ordered their iced vietnamese coffee, chicken and pork sausage on vermicelli and their house special pho. Everything was delicious and the portions were very good! I left feeling full and very satisfied, considering this was our first meal of the day!

The PHỞ ĐẶC BIỆT at Pho Black Bull was absolutely delicious! The broth was so flavorful and they didn't skimp on the meat toppings - truly a tasty experience.

The service was quick, the hot tea really hit the spot during a cold night. I ordered a regular classic pho, tried their Vietnamese pancake out of curiosity. The menu has lots of other specialty meals worth trying. For the price, the portion is generous for 1 person. The broth is good and the beef is tender. Overall it was very good.

Food is ok but not great. The service was however outstanding and very friendly. The pho was broth was heavy on the spice side, though the beef quality was great. For the appetizers, i liked the spring rolls with the grilled meat the most. The rest of the items were only so so. Price is reasonable for the portion.

The Stone Bowl Pho at Pho Black Bull was simply great! The rich, hearty broth and perfectly cooked noodles made for a truly satisfying meal.

One of authentic Vietnamese restaurants that I would go back when the craving kicks in. They do offer lots of specialty dishes, from vermicelli, egg noodles, rice noodles to rolls. The broth is full of flavour. The hot stone can be shared between 2 persons. The portion of other dishes is also quite large with a reasonable price. Good place to bring family or introduce friends to Vietnamese cusine.

Service was great! Food came quickly, though it wasnt too busy when we went. Loved the chicken pho (P9) , broth was delicious and service was great. My boyfriend enjoyed his house specialty soup (BN1). The fresh rolls and peanut sauce were great too (comes with 4 but we ate one before the pic)

This is a very good Pho place, and I highly recommend trying the Stone Bowl pho. Unlike other pho places, you will get a generous portion of meat. They also provide a good peanut butter sauce that goes well with salad rolls. The only thing that would have made this place a five-star is if they had better noodles, mine were plain and bland and the service was a bit slow although friendly.

We had the most amazing angus beef and oxtail pho, along with a mouthwatering shredded chicken on special cooked rice and a refreshing papaya salad. Let me tell you, the dishes were absolutely delicious, beyond compare! And the atmosphere? Oh, it was just so cozy and phenomenal, like being in a warm embrace.

Pho Black Bull is a lovely spot for a meal. The BÚN ĐẬU MẮM TÔM was bursting with flavor, and the CHẢ MỰC and THỊT HEO LUỘC were cooked to perfection. The friendly staff made the experience even better.

I was really excited to try there stone bowl pho as I love my soup piping hot. We ordered the oxtail and sirloin stone bowl, Presentation was great however was a bit disappointed with the broth, it tasted very diluted with water which had little to no pho broth taste. This came with a generous portion of oxtail and tenderloin plus 2 additional meat options, I choose tendon and beef balls. All the meat was better quality than most pho restaurants and thinly sliced. We also got bun cha ca which the broth also lacking flavor however the beef rolls and tofu/squid cakes were delicious. I will definitely try again as I have heard great things about this restaurant and hopefully have a better experience.

Food was okay. Nothing overwhelmingly good or interesting. The oho came out first and the appetizer came out after 5 minutes. They forgot to bring out the fish sauce so we asked for the fish sauce and the server seemed to have forgotten. By the time my vermicelli came out without fish sauce as well. I asked again for fish sauce and waited.. The second server proceeded to take an order at a new table and did not bring the sauce. This point i was waiting around 15 minutes with my food getting cold in-front if me and my friend have almost finished their pho. The vermicelli was okay. Lots of meat but not the best quality. The appetizer had a significant amount of bean sprouts and low quality shrimp. It was also soggy by the time I got my hands on it. The pho was good although the rib in the soup was pretty dry.

Good Vietnamese restaurant in Mississauga Chinatown. The food taste is relatively strong and salty, but it is still very good restaurant.

We've been here before and we knew the food was really good before hand. Today, we ordered the hot stone pot pho / hot stone pot pho with ginseng with Angus beef and oxtail. This place never disappoints. The pots keep the broth nice and hot and the food always hits the spot. We do recommend this place.

I think it is a genius idea to keep the pho soup constantly hot. The premium beef slices are so tender like it melts in your mouth. The other dishes are amazing too! I highly recommend this place.

Wanted to try the specialty pho in the hot stone bowl and so glad I did, broth is flavourful and savoury, comes out boiling. The rib is so tender and fall off the bone but not stringy which I like and not a lot of places can get it like that plus you get three other meat choices in addition to the rib. All the ingredients and herbs are fresh. This pho is pricier than your regular bowl of pho but so worth it. Other places taste watered down compared to this specialty pho here. Also had the fresh and deep fried spring rolls and they were very good. Like that all the varieties of sauces and peppers were available at the table. Menu has a lot of variety. Will come here again for sure.

Decent and authentic Vietnamese restaurant! It was the first hot stone pho soup in the gta and was popular during Covid time. I’ve been there customer ever since. The price is average with others viet restaurants in the gta. There was time the pho quality went down a lot but now it has been improved and consistently good even on weekdays. Sat and Sunday morning could be busy but the rest always have place to sit. Everything on the menu is good, especially the soup! Lots of traditional viet food as well. Must try their northern style pho and iced coffee ( very very very good coffee)

This restaurant serves Pho in a hot stone bowl, which keeps the broth hot until the very last bite. The beef is tender, the cuts are high quality and plentiful, making for a satisfying and filling meal. The portion size is also quite generous, making it a great value for the price. However, the broth is not as good as I was expecting. While it’s still flavorful and rich, it doesn’t quite have the depth of flavor and complexity that I expect from a good Pho broth. It’s a bit on the saltier side, which can be a drawback for some people. If you’re looking for a new twist on a classic dish, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Bún bò Huế becomes my favorite Vietnamese dish. 🤤 I had never tried it before, but when I did, it blew me away. It is one of the specialties at the restaurant I visited, and it is made with hue-style beef soup, topped with beef shank, pork hock, and beef sausage, all cooked in a spicy soup with lemongrass and ginger. 🍜 The broth is absolutely delicious, with unique and flavorful tastes that remind me of Tom Yum soup, but not quite the same. It is lighter and more refreshing, and also it comes with my favorite rice noodles. The restaurant serves a good portion of meat and noodles, and even a small bowl filled me up completely. One of my friends ordered the house special pho, and I tried the broth. It tasted rich and yummy. 💕

Have rice with BBQ beef and fried eggs for lunch. Nice dish. Prime eggs are used. The vegetables preserved with vinegar also taste good. A bit pricey but well justified for the portion. Attendants are friendly and helpful. A nice restaurant to visit.

If you're looking for a great dining experience in the area, I highly recommend giving Pho Black Bull a try. While the restaurant is known for its delicious stone bowl pho, I decided to try the bun bo hue during my recent visit. Not only was the dish incredibly flavorful, but the addition of pork blood in each bowl really elevated the dish to the next level. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the level of service provided. If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, look no further than Pho Black Bull.

Got a recommendation from a friend for this restaurant so decided to stop by when I was in the area. Food was great and the broth was very good. The rare beef that they serve here is phenomenal but less so the flank (it’s a very large cut so I wish they broke it up into smaller pieces). Otherwise, they have a great seating area with lots of space, even on weekends and evenings.

Gourmet pho. Only place I know that uses Triple A Angus beef as well as Stone Bowl that they keep at a very high temperature so your soup stays hot until the very last spoonful. Also the broth is super tasty. Also try the spring rolls here they are delicious as well.

  • 4/5 Annie H. 2 years ago on Google
Overall the food was really good but the spring roll was not crispy enough. Usually whenever you come to any restaurant has dine in option, there is one person will come and ask you that how many people you go with and then guide you to the table. This restaurant is different. The staffs stay at the cashier counter talk to me and point out the table I should sit. It's unprofessional and make me feel a little uncomfortable. Hope it will improve!

I’ve never left a review before, but this is the worst Pho I’ve had in my life. I ordered an XL Beef Noodle Soup and the broth is flavourless. It barely has tripe and noodles. The noodles even taste starchy. It is overpriced ($3-4 more expensive than other Phos in Mississauga) and the portions are embarrassingly tiny for an XL, packed in a portioned box. The meat with the vermicelli is dry and overcooked. There is barely sauce. Save your money and go to other nearby Pho restaurants where the prices and portions are reasonable - and the food actually tastes good.
