I've been here around 5 years now, and can happily confirm most of what's said in other reviews. Aida and the team are absolutely wonderful, and the maintenance staff are super diligent and responsive. The last year, as some of the lower reviews indicate, have been quite noisy. I can see why people are frustrated by all the water shutdowns, the renovations, etc., especially while we're all working from home. The truth is that these are the things diligent managers do to maintain their building. I've lived in the places where managers DON'T keep up with the needs of older buildings. Trust me, the noise you get from people who are always on top of the maintenance and upgrades is worth it. The building and amenities are beautifully maintained, I have never seen a major bug in my place, and the caring & friendly team are constantly working to improve the experience of living here. The minor frustrations involved with keeping the place constantly repaired and well working are well worth it in my opinion.

As residential cleaning specialists, we find this condo a gem to work in. Our cleaners never had an issue with the elevators and the staff is always happy to help. Excellent stay overall, highly recommended especially for students or working people. I stayed there twice for two years each in the past decade. 1) Pros: - Location: it's a minute walk to Rabba & Independent City Market grocery stores & 5 minutes walk to Yonge-Bloor. It's also 15 minutes away from UofT & 20 minutes away from Eaton (all walking distances). - Management: Aida & Jacqueline are very prompt in responding to questions & dealing with issues. The cleaning staff as well as the concierge are very nice people. - Cleanliness: the staff regularly cleans the building. 2) Con(s): - Noise: since it is located in downtown, there are construction sites around the area making noise in the morning but that can be avoided by closing the windows. However, in-suite noises can sometimes occur depending on the neighbors, it also depends on how sensitive you are to noises.

I have lived at 1101 Bay for a few years now and have only good things to say. Great central location, amenities, and up-keep of the building. Especially now during the pandemic, management has been very diligent in keeping the building safe. In addition, the management team is very kind and responsive to tenant needs or concerns. I appreciate all the work that they do and would certainly recommend this building for anyone looking to live downtown.

I was treated completely inappropriately on the tour. Obviously they didn't want my business !! Although the place itself is fine, the names that they called me repeatedly were not and the boundary crossings were shameful and unbusinesslike. I walked out and did not sign a lease because of how I was treated with shaming and degradation. I'm considering contacting customer service but I fear my correspondence would go straight back to the person who treated me wrongly and I addressed it with them five times directly, they couldn't stop themselves from the hurtful boundary crossing and belittling ways (they did apologize several times but then kept saying worse things - albeit under their breath - over and over). Mature professional women beware of this place - we can do better!

I lived here for 7 months for a job and not only was it super convenient, the studio had everything I need. The maintenance team were responsive and when I had to leave suddenly, the management office was understanding and willing to negotiate my terms and help me move out. I’m grateful of the team and their help!

I have been staying here since Sept 2013, and I can say with certainty that the management and maintenance folks here are very friendly and considerate. Any issues or concerns are addressed quickly by the staff, and existing amenities are well maintained and are constantly being improved. Also, comparing other apartments in the Bay area, this place has been reasonably priced throughout that I upgraded thrice within the same building!

Great location, terrible experience due to the nonstop construction, drilling, and hammering noises that have been going on over a year. The management team doesn't know how to plan work properly, so expect everything to take longer than scheduled and for it to be worse than you expect. They shut down the power and water with some regularity, but again because of management incompetence, you should expect that the work will take longer than planned and will likely be extended repeatedly. And even if you have a job that takes you out of the apartment 9-5, you'll still have to deal with the constant noise and disruption, as they sometimes keep doing construction work until after 7pm on a Friday night. Management doesn't care about tenant issues and will refuse to address them, telling them (for over a year now) to use the common area or study rooms when construction is ongoing. On the good side of the scale, the actual maintenance and security staff of the building are excellent: quality people who are doing their best despite how bad management is. They're very responsive, polite, and accommodating to tenants, and this makes up in a small way for the failures of building management (and especially the property owner, Oxford Properties Group, who are ultimately responsible for these problems).

I have lived at 1101 Bay for almost 15 years (since I moved to Toronto). The management team is fantastic, it is one of the reasons I have stuck around. They have always behaved more like my extended family. Repairs are always done in a timely manner. The building is constantly investing in renovations and upkeep. And the neighbours are fantastic (I have made some great friends in the building). Thank you Aida and staff for making this such a great home! I would have no hesitations recommending this building family or friends!

Whether routine maintenance, building upgrades, or unexpected repairs, we were notified well in advance. This level of transparency and foresight is rare and greatly appreciated in rental properties. The team’s helpfulness did not just stop at communication. They were always available to assist with queries or issues, responding swiftly and efficiently. Their friendly and approachable demeanour made it easy for tenants to feel comfortable and valued. Furthermore, the building was well-maintained, reflecting the team's commitment to a pleasant living environment. The communal areas were always clean, and any maintenance issues within the building were addressed promptly and effectively. In conclusion, my time at 1101 Bay Street was significantly better, thanks to the superb management team. Their exceptional service and proactive approach to tenant communication deserve high praise. I recommend 1101 Bay Street for a well-managed and comfortable living space.

I lived here for over 6 years, they have got the best staff and building management. Apartments sizes are quite large compare to new condos, location is hard to beat and they constantly try to keep up with the game by upgrading amenities.
