Some of the best Portuguese chicken around. Their hot sauce is the best, so good I'd drink it straight. Potatoes and rice are outstanding, but the vegetables are out of this world delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like chicken. Hands down the best.

The Chicken and the food here is always nice, fresh and tasty. People are always going in and out of this place. Extra spicy is always my order and it's completely awesome. Worth checking out if you are in the area and want something tasty and different. I've been going to this place for quite some time. The only criticism I have is if you don't get extra hot sauce, the chicken absorbs the hot sauce amount that is generally put on.

This is a great place, in fact the best I've tried for Portuguese chicken. The rice and potatoes are very good as well. The breaded shrimp was good, but not special. Their peri-peri sauce is fantastic, an extra cost but well worth it. You can now buy it by the bottle and just keep at home.

Great Portuguese spot serving fast and delicious food. Love this place for lunch! There’s many options so you can customize your meal. Don’t forget to try a pastel de nata with your lunch ! They’re very good from here.

Very dissapointing portion. A message to the management: If you are comfortable serving half a piece of breast and 1 wing as a "quarter white" please change the name as it is very misleading....quarter white usually consist of an entire piece of breast and wing. Whilst quarter dark is a leg and thigh, cutting piece of the breast off to add to the quarter dark (because the meat is usually less) just takes away from those buying a quarter white meal. Was very dissapointed to drive over an hour to receive what seemed like a kids portion of food. These meal portions are getting smaller. Also, I realized there was no sauce at all on my meal, although I asked for medium sauce on top of everything, having to buy a separate container of sauce for the chicken for $1.50 is just outright nonsense. According to my children, might as well just go buy a rotisserie chicken for much less. Not impressed! AVOS will be getting our business moving forward!

The chicken and rice is absolutely amazing. This is a takeout place and it's 25 sqft so atmosphere doesn't really apply but it's really small waiting area. Where this place lost stars under service is even calling a week ahead of time and specifying a pickup time they don't actually have anything ready. Presumably because some people order and don't show up but still ordering a week ahead of time and then having to wait 20 minutes is quite annoying. The food and portions are 10 out of 10 though and that's what you look for. If you order from this place go in with the expectation no matter how much notice you give and pickup time you specify, you are waiting 20 minutes for your food IF their not busy. In my opinion absolutely worth it tho.

I had the most delicious Portuguese chicken at this place. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful, with the perfect amount of heat to spice it up. The steamed veggies and potatoes were also great, fresh and well-seasoned. The portion size was generous and the service was friendly and fast. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Portuguese cuisine or wants to try something new and exciting. It’s a hidden gem in the city!

Absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, moist and tender chicken, the potatoes were amazing. We really enjoyed the cod as well.

Before this review I wanted to give this place a fair chance because maybe the first time was a bad day. So this is my third time and thought i would leave my honest review. The first time I tried just a single box with some rice, potatoes and a chicken leg quarter. It was fresh the chicken was glistening and juicy, potatoes were pretty good rice bit bland but everything was ok. The sauce for the chicken was good. So now the second time we ordered for Thanksgiving dinner for 10-15 guests. Was I and my guest disappointed, the chicken was very dry even the dark meat, the rice was very bland potatoes was ok. We called they wanted to make it right which was nice. So was offered a deal. Moving forward to Christmas eve. We decided to use our deal and thought that because the last time wasn't good that this time would be extra care. I don't like to put any business down at all but this is in all honesty. We spent $100 our chicken was dry but little better then last time, potatoes still the same. But what I was upset about is the rice was 50%on the way of being bad, the scent and taste was there. I know my food and food handlers certificate right here. The rice was ither made day before or made early morning and sitting in heat all day to get those results. When i mixed it up the smell of bad came even more. I couldn't feed this to my guest which possibly could make them sick. That whole tray went in the garbage which is such a shame and waste of money. This review isn't to say to stay clear from this restaurant because it has its good reputation. This review is to give honesty from my behalf and my experience, and for the restaurant to be more careful because that could have been a lawsuit. I will not be returning here simply because i tried three times.I do see some reviews of the same nature with dried chicken and bland Taste so i not the only one. Thank you.

The best bbq chicken in all Vaughan. We love the food so much ch and keep coming back for our big family get together. Marcio and Phil’s secret sauce makes every dish tastes even better. Shrimp cakes are my favorite!!!!!

Have been here several times and they are very busy which means the food is always fresh. We have catered a few parties here and they always get it right. Potatoes are cooked well and the chicken has a very nice flavour to it (we usually get mild). Keep it up!

Drove from Brampton to here to taste this "famous chichen". I was not impressed.. Potatoes were the best, chicken and rice were not tasty, the chicken was very dried and tasteless, good thing was that I got a bottle of their sauce which actually it happens to be very tasty and nice flavour and I used to put it on the dried chicken I got. Definitely I'll think twice to go back to this place.

This place is great!! It’s been 3 years of ordering from this establishment so I think I should finally write a review. From owners to employees they are fantastic. Very pleasant and courteous and on time! I’ve never had any issues with any of my orders. I’ve placed large orders for my Xmas parties for the last 3 years along with many smaller ones for my family. I’ve had Portuguese chicken at many places but xpress bbq never disappoints. The rice may be a little dry the odd time but their chicken is fantastic every time which is why you’re ordering to begin with and their chorizo is just as good. I recommend trying it if you never have.

I was charged $89 dollars for an order of $49 plus tax. I was in shock when I picked up my order. Went home and calculated the price for 1 whole chicken, 1 large potatoes, 1 small steamed veg, 2 nata tarts. Order should have been $49. Plus tax.

The food here is great. You should definitely order ahead of time as they are always busy, around dinner (5pm to 7pm) my experience.

Ordered some food for a party. Lady who took the call gave us suggestions on how much food and what sides. The food was ready when we arrived. The prices were very fair and the customer service was friendly and professional. I highly recommend because on top of the quality service the food was better than the 10-12 other Portuguese chicken places I’ve tried over the last few years. Chicken is significantly a definite stand out. Highly recommend!

honestly... really good. Im impressed. I just ordered a full bbq chicken, came sliced up in 8 pieces, all grilled to perfection. Crispy outside, juicy inside, they dont go crazy with sauce which is perfect how i like it. this place is a hidden gem, great for those lazy days where you dont feel like cooking dinner! thank you Xpress BBQ!!

The food is not bad, but it just doesn't compete with other BBQ Portuguese Chicken restaurants. From the sauce to the rice to the chicken, this is NOT what you have come to expect from a Portuguese Chicken Restaurant . This is for those who don't know what they are missing. Again I will stress, the food is not bad, but it's not as advertised. It also seems the chicken may be rotisserie and not BBQ.

Amazing food! Just tried this place through uber eats and I loved everything i ordered. It's so hard to find good quality food but definitely adding this place to my favorites!

Have been here several times and had great tasty juicy chicken. Was here today brought my brother to try it out he's catering a party this coming weekend and the chicken was dry cold and and tasteless. So disappointed called and asked if they changed anything. I was told they have never ever had a complaint and they were sorry I felt that way and as I was speaking I was HUNG UP on. Wow spent $100.00 will definately not return. Dorothe S.
