Really horrible experience and I regret going there. I don't understand how all the reviews say that they can understand English because they dont. I was with Mizuki. I have curly hair, which I wanted to have straightened. I showed up at the appointment with my curly hair, no matter how hard I tried to explain, the hair dresser still insisted that I will go back and have curly hair. The idea that I can straighten my curly hair does not seem clear to her. Even after I explained a lot, she seem to does not understand and got angry in the middle of the appointment. And to those who say that this is a japanese hair salon, my friend showed them a picture of my curly hair a few weeks earlier and they said they can deal with it. There wasn't really much of a hair cut, she basically cut a couple of centimeters off, and didn't even deal with my bangs in a good way, just cut straight across my face. She kept pulling on my hair in a painful way throughout the blowdrying. I got burned in my face. She went over my bangs with the straightener so many times I was starting to worry it would fall off. The end result was extremely ugly dull and dry looking hair. I can do a much better job at home with a blowdry brush. Feels like 50 euros went down the trash.

I love this place, the ambiance is just amazing, classic music, small place and near the train / s bahn station which bring me to Kyoto. Yes it’s really like you cut your hair in Kyoto not cold n stiff Berlin. I came without appointment because I actually I just want to pass by and make it one but Miyake the hair stylist said it’s ok to cut right away if I can wait for 30 minutes. Then I better wait because it’s hard to find appointments in Berlin for hair cutting. So Miyake cut my hair she speaks English , little German and very good Japanese;) she really takes time to hear what I want and she gave the opinion to make it even better. My experience was the best I ever have in Berlin Friseur since I move here 20 years ago go.

I booked an appointment a few weeks beforehand and went to the store on time, only to be informed that my hair dresser was sick and I have to book an appointment again. Reservation was canceled two hours before the appointment with email. However, the email was detected as spam so I didn’t get notification. Please make sure your customer is informed! You could make phone calls first instead of only writing emails. My time was not respected and what a disappointment.

In fairness, the haircutters were friendly and accomodating. I had a haircut here as a treat to myself because it is a little pricey. I think it might be an okay place for women with long hair but not for guys like me who have short hair. The cut was quick and not so personalized. For 45€ quick hair cut, I would have expected the cutter to suggest something that would complement my hair. Atmosphere is nothing special, just basic small salon with basic chair and mirror.

I love it. With my Asian thin hair, this one of the only 3 salons I usually go to.

I’ve been there multiple times, the service was running down , last year it was good. But lately the hair dresser seems always in time rush and didn’t understand my wish even with showing reference photos, I wanted to have heavy Volume and no layering. But in the end I got thin layer , which is not reversible, it’s pretty disturbing. I don’t think I will go there again.

As a new customer didn’t think I am taken care of during the haircut process. They are too busy to focus on you. even during haircut they can pick up a cell phone or talk to someone else for several times. Also the style is not that sustainable after I wash the hair by myself.

Called 4 days before and checked their online free spots too, it got confirmed on the phone. Upon arrival they said there was no appointment in their schedule nor my name which was asked on the phone for the appointment. Disappointed

A Regrettable Choice: Unpleasant Experience at a Salon with Language Barriers and Unprofessional Behavior My recent visit to a local salon turned out to be a regrettable decision, highlighting the importance of researching reviews before entrusting one's hair to a stylist. I initially chose this salon with confidence, placing trust in the assumption that a Japanese hairstylist would uphold a high standard of professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience proved otherwise, leaving me disheartened and questioning my decision. My primary mistake was not consulting reviews beforehand, a misstep that I now recognize as critical. It appears that the seemingly reputable exterior of the salon did not reflect the quality of service within. The language barrier became a significant impediment, as the hairstylist neither spoke German nor English proficiently. This hindered effective communication, leading to a misunderstanding about my desired lighter root color. To compound my disappointment, I later discovered that the hairstylists had engaged in gossip about me in Japanese, a language I do not understand. Despite my lack of linguistic comprehension, the tone and body language were unmistakable, leaving me feeling uncomfortably scrutinized. Such unprofessional behavior further tainted my overall experience, and I couldn't help but question the integrity of the salon's staff. The lack of consideration for customer comfort and the unmet expectations regarding the quality of service left me feeling more than dissatisfied. The hairstylist's inability to grasp fundamental color theory principles and the subsequent need for multiple corrective sessions only added to my frustration. The final result, a dark brown shade verging on black, was not only a far cry from my initial request but also a clear indication of the stylist's inadequacies. In summary, my visit to this salon was marred by language barriers, unprofessional conduct, and a lack of technical expertise. I urge potential clients to carefully consider their choices and thoroughly research reviews before deciding on a salon. A Japanese stylist, or any stylist for that matter, should be evaluated based on their skills and professionalism rather than assumptions tied to cultural background. My discomfort and dissatisfaction serve as a cautionary tale for those seeking quality hair services in this particular establishment.

The worst Japanese hair straightener ever. It's only been a week since I straightened my hair and it's already gone. I wasted 200 euros. Will never go here again.

Great place. Love my haircut, the friendly staff, the vibe. I felt they genuinely tried to understand the exact look I was going for and did a great job. Easy to book online.
