The
worst
hospital
staff
I
ever
encountered,
rude,
audacious
and
negligently
violating
their
responsibilities
:
:
:
I
arrived
at
the
reception
area
of
the
Child
Emergency
Department
at
7am
on
Monday
morning
after
1.5
hours
traveling
through
heavy
snow
on
public
transport
with
my
feverish
infant.
When
I
told
the
receptionists
my
situation
they
did
not
even
bother
to
look
at
me
properly
and
just
replied
"And?
What's
the
fuss?"
(in
German:
"Und?
Was
ist
so
schlimm
daran?")
I
was
gobsmacked.
I
then
told
them
my
pediatrician
had
advised
me
to
go
to
hospital
with
my
infant
shall
the
fever
exceed
38
degrees
and
that
this
was
the
case,
we
had
been
up
all
night
from
Sunday
to
Monday
with
38.9
and
my
baby
refusing
to
drink
because
she
couldn't
breathe
properly.
The
staff
interrupted
me
and
said
"I
don't
believe
you".
I
said
"What?"
They
replied
"The
doctor
did
not
say
that".
FYI:
I
had
been
given
this
information
in
writing
by
my
pediatrician,
but
I
wasn’t
going
to
start
justifying
myself
as
it
became
clear
that
this
woman
wasn’t
there
to
help.
I
could
not
believe
my
ears.
I
asked
her
straight
if
she
thought
I’d
lie,
and
she
with
an
attitude
said
"Yes,
I
don't
believe
you.“
.Twice.
She
then
went
on
asking
me
"Does
your
child
have
any
severe
illness?"
-
I
am
not
a
doctor,
I
was
here
to
see
one!!
Unable
to
believe
this
rudeness
and
that
one
is
treated
this
way
when
in
emergency
(!!)
I
left
the
room,
since
I
wasn’t
going
to
be
helped.
The
staff
DID
NOT
EVEN
BOTHER
TO
LOOK
AT
MY
CHILD.
My
head
was
spinning
-
the
children
hospital
of
Munich
REFUSED
to
see
my
feverish
infant.
On
my
way
out
I
decided
to
speak
up
about
this
unacceptable
treatment.
I
went
back
to
the
receptionist
and
told
her
how
inappropriate
her
behavior
is,
and
that
someone
with
this
inadequate
attitude
should
not
work
in
a
hospital
-
especially
NOT
in
a
children's
department!!
She
then
started
to
verbally
attack
me,
so
I
left.
I
travelled
all
the
way
back
to
the
outskirts
of
Munich
where
my
pediatrician
is
based
-
by
now,
my
sick
child,
crying
half
of
the
way,
and
me
had
been
traveling
3.5
hours
at
minus
temperatures
through
the
snow
and
on
public
transport.
When
my
pediatrician’s
receptionists
heard
what
had
happened
at
the
Schwabing
clinic
they
seemed
to
be
aware
of
the
problem
and
asked
me
to
also
tell
the
doctor.
I
did,
and
found
out
that
I
apparently
was
not
the
only
one
of
his
patients
who
recently
have
been
mistreated
by
the
clinic’s
staff.
He
agreed
that
this
is
absolutely
unacceptable,
said
he
was
going
to
speak
to
the
clinic’s
manager
and
assured
me
that
everything
I
did
was
correct
-
after
all
I
had
followed
his
instructions.
I
hope
the
Children
Department
sorts
out
this
serious
problem
very
fast
as
parents
and
children
are
paying
the
price
and
put
at
risk
because
of
rude
and
audacious
staff
who
are
negligently
violating
their
responsibilities.
