Very nice restaurant with good 👌 quality food and atmosphere. The place is suitable for organizing a family dinner or a party. The old and but beautifully renovated 🏡 house of the restaurant offers a lot of space and options. We really loved the 🥗 salads and the grilled ribs in BBQ sauce.

Had high hope and but maybe we ordered the wrong dish. Wanted to try the seafood soup but they did not have. The pork chop was good but accompanying cold red beans not a good combo. Eggplant moussaka a bit dry and would have preferred a bit more spices intensity. Lots smokers in Sofia and the second floor is smoking section. Good service.

I was nicely surprised by this place. First we sat in the garden and I must say this is by far the best garden I've seen in a restaurant in Sofia. They really put their mind to it and the decorations and atmosphere are really nice and cozy. The staff is quite young which helps to break the habit from the usual service you're used to receiving. The menu is simple, modern Bulgarian with a Mediterranean twist I would say. I would say the Bulgarian menu items were extraordinary, made with great taste and flavor. The fried squid however wasn't that good so I wouldn't recommend it.

High quality food and great ambience. A clear favourite in the city, as I saw tons of locals in the restaurant even at 10pm. I had avocado spread for my starter and lamb shank for the main course. Both were delicious and comforting food in the cold night. The lamb shank was cooked well and the collagen fibres have been converted into gelatin, providing a soft and chewy biting experience. The flavours of the sauce combine well with both the meat and gelatin. Add the baby potatoes and the refreshing taste of the side salad, and we have an amazing dish for dinner. Service was good and the waiters were helpful and attentive. Would recommend anyone who is looking for great tasting food and ambiance to visit this restaurant.

Decent restaurant with good food. It's a nice concept of walking through the house and entering different rooms as well as big outside area. We liked food we had (some traditional and some westernized dishes). I would defenetely recommend!

A great surprise! The staff is super nice and very welcoming. I had the appetizers plateau and the pork shank and was perfect! Definitely coming back! The house wine is also good. Overall this restaurant is just amazing!

They handled our party of 20 amazingly! We ordered platters of appetizers and bread to share and when it was time for dessert the waiter suggested a sampling plate! It was divine... If you have a large group this is a fantastic place to add to your list!

Went to the restaurant in a Saturday for lunch and the food was really really good. Amazing service. The restaurant was reccomanded by the hotel nearby. We had farmer salad, chicken with fresh patatoes and lime cake. All delicious. Highly reccomand this place.

Great food. Good service and nice atmosphere. Highlight recommended. We ordered what was suggested. Pork shank, lamb shank, pork ribs and pig ears. Delicious and all the meat falls off the bone and just melt in the mouth. We all came out very happy and satisfied. What a good finish to our holiday in Bulgaria. Thank you 😁

Once in a while the planets align and we can have a perfect meal experience. This was one of these days at this place. Nothing was less than perfect. I was gently welcomed as a solo traveler, dressed casually (shorts), quickly taken to a nice table and served by the great Trahil (spelling?), who suggested me the baked lamb. A nice cold beer while I waited until the spectacular dish arrived. Unbelievable! After I ate it, Trahil told me it had been baking in the brick and wood oven for 9 hours. Once again, everything perfect: ambience, service, food and price. Strongly recommend.

Simply unbeatable Bulgarian cuisine restaurant. Traditional lamb is baked in a wood-fired oven. Large portions, high quality. Large and spacious terrace. Everything is clean and tidy. Great service! What else is needed?)

Staria Chinar is a restaurant that is immensely popular with local diners. It caters mostly to those who are seeking to eat traditional Bulgarian cuisine. It is difficult to get a reservation so I recommend asking for one a couple of days in advance. If you're not a fan of heavy fare, there is a variety of lighter dishes that includes salads and fish platters.

We came here for two evenings in a row, as the restaurant was very close to our hotel. The food is really, really good. Super yummy, these guys really know what they are doing 🤩. The staff is very friendly, eager to help, speak English well. Good job, guys 🤗

Delicious food at this restaurant located about 700m from Alexander Nevsky cathedral - we ordered pork neck steak with grilled duck heart, grilled pork ear and sautéed beef tongue. All cooked perfectly, the meats are tender and tasty. The best meal so far from our Bulgarian trip.

What a nice and traditional Bulgarian place. This place was recommended to us by the people from Peter Pan Guest House and what a nice experience it was. The food was amazing and the prices are very affordable. The service was spectacular. The service was almost like dining in a Michelin star restaurant!

This is a charming house with different rooms and spaces good for privacy or for a great group of people. The food was fantastic! The service was great from a kind waiter who was there always at the right moment. By the end of the dinner with the desert we even had a bit of a show with white smoke, which wasn't really a smoke. Lovely experience!

Great place to eat bulgarian food, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is profesional. Portions are not that Big so be aware if you are hungry. Better try to make a reservation on advance otherwise It can be full or you can end in a bad spot downstairs.

Food is amazing. We had salad and pork shank. It was well made and a helpful waiter removed the bones for us. There are two complaints I have. One are the smokers. We were asked if we want smoking/non-smoking area; inside/outside. We decided for non-smoking outside. We were brought to a table which had an ash tray. Hence we asked again if it’s a non smoking area to which we heard: yes but if we want ask tray is in front of us. As a result when later some more guest came in they started to smoke. We were anyway almost done with our food hence could move away quickly but I think it was a sort of misunderstanding. The second complaint is, we were charged more than the menu has shown. It has shown 18.70 while we were charged 20.60. We did not want to make a fuss after we paid but that should not happen, so if can please review the bill before paying.

Service is implacable, they really do go the extra mile to give the customers an enjoyable experience. The decor is very retro, so many historical details. The food is also nice

All 5 of us just loved the food, the portions and drinks! As soon as our waiter noticed that it was a bday thing, we got us a complimentary dessert!!! He also spoke a few languages! Such a great experience after a stressful day, we will be back for sure!

Overall a very pleasant experience - the food was really good, the service as well. They have a big garden, which is nice, the only downside is that the tables are too close to one another and you can hear what the next table is saying, as well as breathe in the smoke if they are smokers... A little more distance between the tables would be great, not just in the Covid situation, but in general.

Beautiful and chic restaurant in a cozy backyard that I really enjoyed on my last trip to Sofia. Authentic Bulgarian food and a broad variety of starters and wines. They offer also various vegetarian (and delicious) options as opposed to other Bulgarian restaurants in the city. I'd go definitely go again! It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation some days prior as it's always quite full. :)

Value for money, delicious Bulgarian food restaurant.

I had lunch outside and the location is really nice, plenty of green. The food was delicious (the eggplant moussaka was amazing) and the service good too (Waiters speak English) Good price, 7 to 30 Lev dishes. I totally would recommend this place.
