After they closed and sold our beloved Dunes Manor, the hotel we were married at, we chose The Princess Royale for our anniversary getaway! We love the location! Stayed in a newly renovated king room with an ocean view. The view was outstanding! Our room was beautiful and clean! The price was incredible! The staff was less pleasant. We didn't get much information and were kind of bummed that the restaurant, bar and other included amenities were not open at all. Overall, we had a great time and will be back! Room was gorgeous!

My family stayed one night for fun, mostly to swim in the indoor pool. The size of the hotel is grand, and our room was beautiful. But during our stay two people in the room next to ours were arrested...not the hotel's fault, obviously. But the few staff we interacted with were unimpressive and not helpful. The food was expensive. The website listed several things they did NOT have, such as a Jacuzzi hot tub next to the pool and room service. The arcade for our kids was creepy...located in a distant corner of an empty quiet basement floor. Overall, it was not much fun. We won't stay here again. We went the day after Christmas to get a room very cheap. I would be much more upset had we spent $350/night.

Have stayed here almost every year for conferences. It's close to my venue, walking distance to great restaurants. Has a decent number of amenities, a somewhat enclosed parking lot, large spacious rooms with a small kitchen area. Well worth the price compared to most places. It's not always perfect, like this visit the water was not as hot as I'd like, but that was about it. One year the bath drain wasn't working, called up the front and a maintenance worker was up to fix it in 30 to 40 minutes. There's a large indoor pool for when the weather isn't great. There's some limited outdoor dining. You'll need to drive slow getting in the hotel, into, and out of the parking lot, because there are some steep angles to maneuver.

I love the location of this resort, it’s cool for the kids and I like how the indoor pool is in the middle of the place. The pictures online look better than in person, everything is a little outdated in the rooms. The arcade barley had any space or games. They do not have complementary breakfast but they do have a nice coffee shop in the lobby. Overall this place was pretty good and it was right off the beach.

My family and I absolutely love this place and have become regulars. The pool is so well lit and it’s so spacious. The sauna is a nice touch. Nice little pool bar with a menu to their restaurant. I recommend this to all my friends and family.

Pictures are very deceiving. Trying to find parking at first was frustrating. Called and they could not find our reservation. (We traveled multiple states away to come here) finally found our reservation. You have to pay $50 to check in early luckily we had the spa to do before going to the room. Spa is in the Lower level felt like a dungeon. My massage was done right next to the maintenance room and the hallway light shining in the massage room did not help. That being my first massage I felt really uncomfortable with the guy I had. He was nice but I wish I could’ve had the option to have a woman do it…couldn’t add on a service day of they were not really accommodating. Then went in for a pedicure. They had just a handful of nail polish to choose from. 5/6 of us that got toe service done our polish got chipped, smudged, smeared etc. I felt as though what I paid was not worth it. Then we get dinner at the current. Extremely costly for what we ordered. Service was lousy. Flies were everywhere. Pool area smelled awful. Room we stayed in was outdated. Elevator took us for a ride in the morning thru all the floors and we got to see all the rear elevator rooms. Just wasn’t worth the price we paid. Honestly won’t be back….

The best thing I will say for this place is that staff are friendly and helpful. The experience checking in and getting up to the room is lovely. However, upon entering the room and getting settled there is a lot left to be desired. The floors in the room were dirty (walked straight through and then had to wash the dirt off of my feet), there are little to no outlets available in the bedroom to charge your devices, wi-fi is TERRIBLE (even the Princess Royale Private is in and out, very spotty connection), and it is LOUD everywhere.

Overall this was a great experience. It was my first time at Ocean City so I was a little skeptical about coming to a hotel I didn’t know. The rooms were clean and I like the fact there was no carpets so you can just sweep up all the sand from a day at the beach. We had an Ocean View room, but the only problem is the balconies are super small and the cut them into a triangle shape so you can only “use” half of the space. They theoretically made an engineering effort to somehow have the rooms face the ocean, but miserably failed. Everything else was fine

Absolutely loved it here. Nice clean rooms. The staff was absolutely amazing as well. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. We enjoyed every second of our stay. Highly recommend!

Started my birthday weekend off with a facial from Libbi. She did a great job and I've never seen my face glow the way it did after that facial. We chose to do the jacuzzi room and thankfully we did because the pool was closed. Overall the hotel is great and we've been to this hotel 3 times in the last 3 months. Beautiful and relaxing hotel.

We stayed here 7 years ago loved it, so for my birthday this year I decided to come, but this time I was disappointed. Floors look like they weren’t mopped, bathroom was dirty. Called for someone to come clean while I was at the beach and didn’t see a change. So I went to go buy cleaning supplies to clean myself also room had a really bad smell to it. Never again!!!!! Beds are the worst and sheets were stained.

Overall best place to stay in OC MD, have stayed here over and over and over every year since and before COVID, very clean facility easy access to beach, on the weekends there is a full buffet for breakfast, inside pool is very nice and accommodating great for the kids, fairly priced and if it rains the indoor pool is the best ! Don’t have to leave for meals lots to eat close by and 7-11 very close ! Winner every time, fairly priced. Best in class for Ocean City Maryland. Very happy here always

Disappointing. The oceanfront suite was more expensive (>$200/night) and significantly smaller than side view rooms. Dining table bare allows room for one person. AC extremely loud. No hot water in shower last two days. Furniture dated. Tile/ceiling work in very rough shape. No weekday restaurant (other than outdoor snack at) other than breakfast. Ice cream stand closed at 6pm. Would not return.

This was a very adequate hotel. No frills. What you see in the pictures is what you get. It’s very far from downtown so the location was not great. Our toilet got clogged at one point. The staff was very nice. The rooms are very outdated. That being said the AC was good, good water pressure in the shower, and I slept like a log at night (prob because our days were so packed). The bed is very firm.

Hotel was beautiful with the view from the pool. Rooms were spacious, however, there was no hot water for the showers on both mornings I was there. I was told maintenance would bnup to check, then told you need to let the water run for 15-20 min. I’ve stayed in many hit end and never had a problem like this. It was very inconvenient bc I had to be somewhere and this is very unacceptable to begin with! The second day I ran the water for 30 min before it began to get warm. If you don’t mind cold showers then you will enjoy your stay.

PROS - Loved the view from our room. It was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning from our balcony (we had a direct oceanfront). Loved the location. The beach right in front of the hotel was so convenient. It was less crowded than down by the boardwalk (we went in mid Sept) They have a nice little kitchen, with a brand new fancy digital induction stovetop that came with zero directions. We spent 10 min on YouTube watching tutorials to get it working and still had to call maintenance to come and make sure it was off. I recommend staff print directions on a sheet of paper for each of the rooms with these stoves and problem solved. Enjoyed the live entertainment each night on the terrace where The Current bar/restaurant is, it's a nice touch that gives it a great relaxing atmosphere. The pool was nice as well, as it wasn't too busy when I was there. Parking was free and pretty easy to find spots for the time I stayed there. Overall, the hotel has some great things going for it. CONS - The beds were not comfortable...at all. There was no bounce, no plushness. They were also smaller than a queen size, even though they claim to be queen. My husband & I are not large people and we were pretty squished. For it to have been a 'remodeled' room, they definitely could have done better there. I take my sleep seriously, especially after long days at the beach and boardwalk. I couldn't wait to get to a different bed after 4 nights of staying here. If you book a room that has been renovated and doesn't have a carpet, bring a broom. You won't appreciate all the sand that will find it's way into your bed. We went to the dollar store on day 2 for that problem. It lessened the issue, but we still kept towels by the bed to wipe our feet on before getting in. There is also no screen door, so you can't keep the balcony door open without letting bugs in. I like to listen to the ocean for the time I'm there and it made it difficult/impossible, as we ended up with a cricket in there on night 2 that we had to chase down. The light on the balcony that can't be turned off doesn't help. I would recommend going across the street to Laytons for a decent breakfast instead of their restaurant on site. For what we spent for 4 nights (too much), I feel like it missed the mark a bit. I have stayed at less "resort-like" hotels where I had an amazing view from my balcony & slept comfortably in a nice big bed for much less.

Room was clean, easy access to the beach, and extremely friendly employees. The downside was how outdated the whole place is. Hallways have smokers tinge from the 80's. You can tell this place needs an investor, badly. We stayed at a different hotel for the remainder of our stay. Was half the price, also on the beach, had three pools and rooms from this millennium. Double Tree by Hilton blew this place away. Can't rely on great service alone if you want to charge $300+ a night. Need to actually match the experience you think we're paying for.

The rooms were clean. Had an ocean view room. Facility was clean. The only negative thing I would say is the pool needs to be monitored better. Children unsupervised and using the pool as their personal playground for example throwing I football length of pool when small children and infants could have been hurt. The person giving out towels just stood there a played on their phone.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort during our vacation in Ocean City, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the resort takes great pride in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere. The well-kept surroundings and immaculate rooms were a testament to their commitment to quality. What truly impressed us was the thoughtful attention to detail throughout our stay. The resort had everything we needed readily available, making our vacation stress-free and enjoyable. Whether it was the well-equipped rooms, the variety of on-site amenities, or the friendly staff, it was evident that the Princess Royale goes above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable experience. The oceanfront location provided breathtaking views and convenient access to the beach, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. We found ourselves captivated by the soothing sounds of the ocean and the stunning sunrises right from our balcony. Overall, our time at Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort was nothing short of fantastic. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, and convenience with a beautiful oceanfront setting, I highly recommend considering this resort for your next getaway. It’s safe to say that we’ll be returning for more memorable vacations in the future.

This was one of the saddest trips I have taken. I have never met a more unaccommodating place in my life. The staff treated my family and I like a problem right from the start. We brushed it off and me and the kids had a good time regardless of the many encounters. We checked out the next day and my little girl left her beloved stuffed animal she had since a baby in the room. We called an hour after check out. And the refused us to go look for it and would not even check with any staff if they had seen it and made us only to fill out a lost a found form online. It took 4 days for even a returned phone call and after calling for 4 weeks straight and no one would help. We gave up. If it had value to anyone else they would have helped. It would have so easy to grab that day, but once again nothing to do to help. Nothing but disappointment.
