What can one say about the Ocean City boardwalk. Growing up spending family vacations here gives it a certain nostalgia. Not to mention I have a love for seafood. Living where I do it's not often I get to have it fresh. My suggestion for anybody who wants to visit come here in May or September. That's before and after the crazy busy season. If you're used to going to Florida be aware that the waves are a little more aggressive. So just take care if you have young kids. The beach and boardwalk are kept clean and there are quite a variation of pricing when it comes to hotels. My suggestions are to try thrasher's french fries, fishers popcorn, and since I'm not a fan of taffy go for the cinnamon nuts. They can be found at a small shop called "The Hut House". There are plenty of public bathrooms located off the boardwalk as well. The Jolly Roger Pier is expensive but provides quite a bit of entertainment for your kids. Or you could do what we do and go the cheaper route since we all enjoy a good round of mini golf. If you do a quick Google search for mini golf courses you'll find there are plenty within a short range. Check it out and I hope you have fun.

Had a wonderful experience vacationing here with my family. 2.45 miles of beautiful boardwalk with lots to do from early morning to late evening stroll, walking, jogging, biking, shopping, dining, swimming, sun bathing or just relaxing on the countless number of benches, enjoying the fresh ocean breeze or sharing a meal with the birds. Don't worry, there are many public restrooms along the board. very clean and felt very safe with many police officers patrolling the boardwalk through the day and night. Lots of street parking available and many excellent restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our time here and will certainly visit again.

(May 29, 2022) I haven’t been here since when they were building the boardwalk up. So this was so fun & new for me. Maybe next time I’ll have some money to enjoy myself & do more. It was beautiful & the rides seemed fun

As far as beaches on the east coast goes, this is a pretty nice one. It's clean and large so it doesn't seem as crowded. The boardwalk is spacious and not as cramped as it could be. There are food options for people with allergies so that's comforting.

This review is generally about the boardwalk. It's very busy in the season place, but a bit creepy and lifeless in the cold season. It's very nice, 3 miles long, mostly wooden, old, but well maintained and with modern additions boardwalk. Every shop is open in the season, and every shop has a line. I've been here in different seasons, and I like this boardwalk in every season. It's wide and has many access points to the beach. Holidays lights are decorating the southern end in the winter . This is Ocean City's main place to be and see. Many people's come in the swimmingly season , but very few and locals only in the winter. So here are some pics and videos form the winter Ocean City, Maryland

Fun place to visit in the summer, especially if you like to walk. This Boardwalk is very long and features many stores, restaurants, and attractions. There are well-known places on this Boardwalk like Ripley's Believe It or Not. They also have some huge arcade places to have fun at, like Playland. Some of these places have been here for decades. If you are tired, you can always ride the Jeep pulled "train" on the Boardwalk. You can pick up some nice souvenirs as well.

One of the best boardwalk in the east coast you could find or comment me better boardwalk😃. Lot of shops in the boardwalk , crowded for some but we enjoy the crowd , safe for kids due to strict rule enforced on smoking or drinking. So you won’t mostly smell the smoke in the boardwalk. Very clean , reasonably priced tram service in the boardwalk. Once full way priced tram is $4 per person (above age 1). Lots of food variety and feels like you are on real vacation spots. People are mixed age group mostly , bike rentals and bike stands were also available. Keep cash in hand or most of the shops accepts card.beach is easy access from any spots on boardwalk . Food prices in the boardwalk are above normal but would not say very expensive. There are few items like ice cream on cone are $7 for small size. Parking near by boardwalk on weekend could be around $20 or cheaper than that. Couple of ride park along boardwalk , one is in pier and one is little further. One ferrywheel ride along boardwalk is $10 per person or $30 for 4 person. Very good family vacation spot.

Well maintained broadwalk which offers many restaurants and beach area related shops, paid train which can take you from one end to another for fun purposes. Very pleasant place to walk in the evening to night, customary all go to the beach during the day and dress up for the evening walk at the boardwalk from 6pm till night. Good place to be to enjoy with the friends and family. Broadwalk offers very clean and well maintained restrooms from the fair wheel to I think 19th street. In the evening you will find music playing with the hat at front, artists doing painting and selling then, caricatures, people dressed up asbatman and costumes for picture $$ . If in ocean city md must visit this.

“crowded...fun watching people… enjoy tram and eateries around you…walk till sunset… enjoy the day...!!” I have been to this place recently on Memorial Day weekend. Had been to 2-3 boardwalk but this is the best I have experienced so far. Park your car at 'INLET Parking' nearby to the boardwalk and enjoy the evening. great for friends/families/kids or should I say for all. lots of game parlor/gift shop/ tasty eateries/ try their fries. Hit the beach, play with sand. Wet your feet in the ocean. Throughout the boardwalk, benches are there. Sit-walk-relax-repeat. We enjoyed big wheel and some other rides. Tried our luck in shooting the balloons but failed. haha. Had our dinner at Brothers Bistro enjoying ocean winds. What a pleasant evening it was. see pics for more.

Super fun and exciting! We visited on a Sunday and parked at city hall parking lot for $3 an hour. But parking is available weekends only. Loved all the local vendors painting and doing magic. Lots of things to do and look at! Cute souvenir shop at the end of the south pier. The waves can be pretty intense and the beach gets deeper fast so watch your kiddos. Lots of Marijuana smells so beware where you sit! Ha it was strong in some areas

My wife and I stop here on our way to New York . We always wanted to go so we decided to take the plunge and we were not disappointed. Very clean beach , plenty of stores and restaurants and even fast food if that is what you like prices are a little higher then you would normally pay but that is to be expected in a tourist area. There are Parking lots and meters all over the place so I am sure you will find parking and again the parking is a little expensive. But it was well worth the time and we definitely will be back. And if you are driving by the area I recommend that you stop by and spend a little time

Amazing how this city accomplished so much in such a little time. The people and the residents with there restaurants just wonderful. The night life on the beach boardwalk and the water splashing down the shore while having a great dinner. Once again we made our 5th Visit from far away. We travel 7k miles to enjoy the flair.

I came here memorial weekend for a family trip. The weather was so beautiful. The boardwalk has lots of shops and food places. You have to go to pool side bar. They have the best crab cakes in town. You cannot bring alcohol as they have police checking coolers. You can bring your own tent, food and stuff.

Off season is the best time to visit the Ocean City Boardwalk if you can, less people, traffic and more time to truly relax and see the sites! Through the 2nd weekend in Oct. there are special events happening, the weekend of Oct 11 was the Cruise In with around 2000 antique and spruced up vehicles reving their engines and just cruisin the weekend away. During Thur - Sat the rooms are more expensive but Sun - Thur a.m. the rooms are at a pretty low rate throughout OC. Know upfront just about every shop on the board walk is closed after Columbus Day so plan accordingly. It's still warm when the sun shines, but on rainy days or when the sun goes down the temperatures do drop, but it's still a worth while trip! Sail on!

Very nice staff...but our room was TINY. Floppy small bed & pillows...Outdated rooms...carpets etc...but having the mini beach right there is Nice!! The pool was closed...they said it didn't open till June...They ran out of hot chocolate packs.. but they offerred Bananas & oranges in the office. They should renovate the rooms...beds etc...consult someone who does home decor...if possible

Great beach town! 1st time there since I was about 10 years old. Really had a great time. Most things are within walking distance. Which is really nice. Traffic can be heavy at times, especially during the 4th of July holiday.

It's a nice place to go to, kind of reminds me of Coney Island but cleaner. Nothing really special, nice for on 1 visit. Many variety of vendors, a lot have many stalls. They have rides, a lot of funnel cake, ice cream. I was expecting more seafood, and more affordable. Nope, wasn't the case. Kind of disappointed for this part.

I have been coming here since I was a child with my family. A great vacation spot with the beach and great local businesses with everything from beach wear, to discount jewelery, and some of the best food to be found! The early morning bike rentals are a big part of my childhood spring break memories! Now that I live the area I still love to stop by just to reminisce and grab some amazing grub!

Absolutely beautiful. It can be busy during peak season (mainly June-September), but the off season is the absolute best time to enjoy.

Had a good time at OC boardwalk. Pretty clean and plenty of food and shop options. No drinking/smoking allowed on boardwalk. Perfect area to walk and see the ocean view. Kid and pet friendly.

It's a really nice view of the ocean, and the boardwalk itself was recently renovated. Some of the shops and restaurants on it have gotten junky looking though. The people in charge of tourism should make them keep up on the appearance of the businesses that line the boardwalk. There is usually a good police presence, which is nice.

We had a wonderful time at the boardwalk. This is one of the most beautiful and longest boardwalk we have been too. There are so many shops, touristy things and restaurants here. Clean restrooms snd showers are provided. We parked at the municipal parking lot which is not that far. The place looked more alive and happening in the late evening/night. Good time with family.

We had a wonderful time at the Ocean City Boardwalk! There are shops, restaurants, bars, and arcades lining the board walk! It's a fun place to enjoy the night life of Ocean City! It's much longer than you think! One day we walked almost 3 miles and never reached the end! During the day it is quiet, but at night it comes to life! We rented a surrey one morning and drove it on the board walk, that was so much fun! Highly recommend visiting if you're in Ocean City!

Great place to unwind and think store prices are mostly fair. Beautiful views and the waves crashing against the Sandy Beach is heavenly. Great food nice atmosphere. Almost like a theme park with no rides, except there is rides kiddy rides atleast and a Farris wheel on the pier

Ton of fun with lots of stuff for families! Giving it 4 stars because parking is a little expensive and literally all the stores are almost the exact same thing. There is a ton of food and stuff to do with families. The further you walk in there seems to be a lot more bars and better food!

It's so nice to be able to walk while looking at the sea. However, there are people who walk without tying their dogs, so be careful and avoid dog poo because it is soon around the corner.

Even in early April the place is bustling with visitors. It was nice to see many shops open although there are still some shops and restaurants that are yet to open for the season. The beach is pristine and the sand is golden with fine soft texture, a must visit!

Was very relaxing to stroll up and down the boardwalk! All the way at the end by the black rocks there’s some stunning views! Some people even saw dolphins! A unbelievable airbrush artist is on the boardwalk too! Very talented!!

Had a great time at OCMD boardwalk. Bike rentals are from 7am- noon. Pretty unfair but officials are pushing for visitors to take the boardwalk tramcar. The tramcar is $5.00 per person each way. The boardwalk has plenty of food, reasonable priced, souvenir shops, playground, tent rentals, etc. You won’t be disappointed and you and your family will have a great time.

Ocean City exceeded all my expectations with its breathtaking beaches, vibrant boardwalk, and a plethora of activities for all ages. From relaxing on the soft sand to indulging in delicious seafood and thrilling water sports, it was an unforgettable getaway. Highly recommended!

The OCMD Boardwalk what can I say. It has to be one of my favorite places on earth to be day or night. It's always been someplace I've enjoyed spending time with family ever since I was a kid and now that I have my own family it is no different. The sights, the sounds, the smells, its all there. I could just sit and people watch and be satisfied. There is so much to see and do. So many shops to visit, so much good food to try and cool pictures to take, I just can't get enough. The sun and the sand and the cool ocean air makes me want to keep coming back every year. See you next summer.

This has hints of “days gone by” that are lovely - giant Ferris wheel, treat shops, strolling the beach or boardwalk, memorabilia locks on the pier, quaint resort/hotels with rooms right on the avenue. However, the blaring radios from bars with inappropriate songs, drunk people yelling obscenities from those hotel rooms, ripped/half nude outfits on a 50 degree day, and tourist chain stores every 10 steps added up to make me wish we had skipped this on our vacation. We did enjoy the kids’ playground and various climbing structures, as well as getting a peek at the old cars show.

Visited Ocean city with my wife in May 2023. This place was so cool, the atmosphere and the ambience was too good. Definitely recommended for family and friends, even if you are alone it's a super walk where you can enjoy different varieties of food, drinks, games, tattoos, piercings, photos, and what not. There were a lot of positive vibes and I will definitely visit this place again in this year.

I had never been to Atlantic City New Jersey it was the most amazing trip I'm driving down from Six Flags, where I dropped my daughter. I went to Atlantic City and walked the boardwalk. It was so beautiful. It was a beautiful day, there was seagulls, casinos there was tons of places to eat. There were a cute little shops. There were small like trolley buses I guess you want to call. That would Shuffle you down the boardwalk to the other end. They also had men pushing people in small carts for a small fee, which was kind of cool. They also had a small amusement park, and of course, the beach to lay out and swim. It was one of the best times I've had in a while. Check out the pictures...

Same boardwalk as ever. Many places closed already for October. Thrashers opened later in morning. Fine for day time. Would not take my kids there after dark.

This place is amazing as it has been in the past years. Unfortunately I will choose the group of people next time more carefully that I go with! The plim plaza I definitely would not recommend! If I would have seen that before I went I definitely would not have gone. That place belongs on hotel impossible! The weather was cold and I did not have the opportunity to enjoy any amenities due to the fact that it was out of season as well! I spent 5 days wearing jeans and long-sleeve shirts thankfully there was only one day I got to wear summer clothes! At least I got a flip-flop tan.

Ocean City Md is my all time favorite Beach & Boardwalk!!! Much cleaner then any other Beaches I've been to... The people there are very nice! So many hotels, Gift Shops, Restaurants, different food places EVERYWHERE right on boardwalk. So many Night clubs & Bar & grills, makes it hard to choose...
