When
it
comes
to
surf
perch
fishing,
this
area
by
far
takes
the
cake
(when
the
fishing
is
on).
It
has
been
a
little
hit
and
miss
as
of
lately,
but
when
the
surf
perch
are
biting,
boy
are
they
biting.
The
beach
itself
is
beautiful
but
tends
to
be
on
the
cold
side.
If
you
plan
on
visiting
this
location,
bring
a
jacket
and
some
spare
clothes.
Also,
be
advised,
there
will
be
sand
everywhere
in
your
car,
on
your
clothes,
on
your
shoes,
on
your
everything
upon
going
to
this
location.
I
was
just
about
able
to
make
a
sandcastle
in
my
own
car
by
the
time
I
was
done
at
this
location.
The
humidity
at
this
location
can
also
be
extremely
high.
The
inside
of
your
vehicle
may
get
absolutely
saturated
with
salt
water
if
you
are
not
careful.
It
also
tends
to
be
extremely
foggy
and
drizzly
at
this
location
at
any
point
during
the
year.
It
could
be
in
the
middle
of
August
and
be
in
the
low
50s
and
drizzling.
So
don't
expect
this
to
be
a
Southern
California
style
beach;
this
is
the
Pacific
Northwest
after
all!
I
literally
had
to
spend
$80
afterwards
in
detailing
to
get
all
the
sand
and
detritus
from
the
beach
out
of
my
car.
But,
the
experience
is
well
worth
it
if
you
are
willing
to
do
it.
I
could
think
of
no
better
place
to
kill
time
on
the
beach
and
do
some
epic
fishing.
My
son
caught
himself
a
fantastic
Pacific
sole
that
we
had
as
fish
and
chips.
