When it comes to surf perch fishing, this area by far takes the cake (when the fishing is on). It has been a little hit and miss as of lately, but when the surf perch are biting, boy are they biting. The beach itself is beautiful but tends to be on the cold side. If you plan on visiting this location, bring a jacket and some spare clothes. Also, be advised, there will be sand everywhere in your car, on your clothes, on your shoes, on your everything upon going to this location. I was just about able to make a sandcastle in my own car by the time I was done at this location. The humidity at this location can also be extremely high. The inside of your vehicle may get absolutely saturated with salt water if you are not careful. It also tends to be extremely foggy and drizzly at this location at any point during the year. It could be in the middle of August and be in the low 50s and drizzling. So don't expect this to be a Southern California style beach; this is the Pacific Northwest after all! I literally had to spend $80 afterwards in detailing to get all the sand and detritus from the beach out of my car. But, the experience is well worth it if you are willing to do it. I could think of no better place to kill time on the beach and do some epic fishing. My son caught himself a fantastic Pacific sole that we had as fish and chips.

It was so beautiful and clean. Happy to not see any trash on the beach. Loved that we were able to drive down the beach and enjoy a leisurely cruise down the shoreline. Felt really romantic and peaceful. A great first date destination or place for quiet time or just to relax and listen to the waves coming in. Waves were very low, not sure if surfing would be fun here, didn't seem like they had anyone in the water... but that could just be cause its cold right now. We took the dog and he loved it. Had a great open secluded area where he could run around and not be disturbed.

Our very favorite beach in Ocean Shores! Great any time of year. Rain, sun, overcast. It's all so beautiful!

It's a beautiful place for the 4th of July. It's considered a State Highway and they do have law enforcement out patrolling and it's marked where you can and cannot drive so pay attention to the signs. Stay on the hard pack and away from the water. The water has been getting up higher than usual

Absolutely beautiful. Not over run with people. We swam in the Ocean. Found shells and sand dollars, had a fire on the beach at night it was wonderful!!! It can be windy at times so be sure to check the weather before you go and always take a jacket. It stays in the 60's unless its like mid July and beginning of August those are the warmest times to go. You can drive on the beach here in between ocean shores and ocean city but no further in the summer months. I see surfers playing in the waves and sea lions. Its a really pretty place to check out on the Washington Coast.

We went here for a family vacation, and we enjoyed every minute there. Everyone was nice coming from California it was odd seeing people drive on the beach, the shops were cute and clean and we got to see a 13foot stuffed alligator, which made our day. We rented bikes which the boys loved. One of the best days we spent as a family. The beach was cleaner than some beaches I have gone to.

Its a great place to access the Noth Beaches. You can park and walk, fly a kite, barbecue some food, just sit and enjoy the ocean or cruise to Ocean Shores. So many things to do we visit often. There is a small state park at the entrance with restrooms and a picnic area with tables.

Few cars and people make Pre-sunrise & sunrise intimate and unobstructed with nature, sunset, and post-sunset are gorgeous. The power & force of the high tide is an awesome experience. The calm at low tide and vast beach exposed is uniquely calm & sometimes eerie as you walk or drive where the Pacific Ocean will soon cover. Winter high tides leave driftwood, rocks, shells, jellyfish, seaweed, ropes, dimensional lumber, general litter, etc. for extensive virgin beach combing. Or just enjoy sitting comfortably in your vehicle, watching and listening to the birds & witness the power of the moon's gravity as you smell the oceans offerings. Explore the sand dunes getting temporarily lost in the grass covered mounds. Various animal tracks and corpses you might encounter. The sustained wind for perfect kite flying conditions. A fire or barbecue on the beach ⛱️ Driving on the beach highway at 40 m.p.h. is exhilarating. And many other activities make memorable moments.

Love coming down to the beach, the weather was Fantastic all 3 days that we were there. It's so Awesome, seeing the bald eagles waiting on the out going tide. Waiting for what gets washed up for meal time. Love the PNW!!

This place is so much fun,! You can fish. You can swim. You can drive on the beach. You can sit around the fly a kite or you can just do absolutely nothing but stare at the big ocean.

A different beach than what I grew up with in the south. I saw lots of kites, heavy fog, and horseback riding. I'm in love and proud to live in PNW. Also great place to take our drone

Always a delight to visit the ocean there's literally nothing like that it does help too to know someone 🙂 Visited family for my birthday and it couldn't have been better. it was a beautiful sunny day, water was cold and the air was good.

Camped for 5 days. Weather was cool and breezy with ocean mists. Sites were roomy, with open areas for gathering, and well maintained. Bathrooms, and showers were well used and were often cleaned. All park workers were polite but one person. Met some great fellow campers and the children had a great time with new friends. The access to nearby amenities, beach and town, was fun for family activities.

Large wide hard sand beach. Drinking is allowed and pet friendly.

Great experience driving on the beach. We came on Sunday, during the heat wave in Seattle, and the cool ocean breeze was just what we needed. There was a lot of people on the beach but for the most part it was orderly.

Nice quarter-mile walk from the parking lot to the beach. It's in a conservation area, so you're likely to see some interesting plants and maybe animals on the way. And a nice beach :) also very convenient to Ocean City!

Good spot to drive out onto the beach. Can't turn right between April and labor day. If you want to enjoy the beach without cars driving by that's a pretty good spot. If that area is full drive a few miles north to copalis and you can walk to the beach from there

Saw several bald eagles today. The waves were stormy and dramatic. Loved it 💙🌊
