Great little Italian bistro deep in the heart of Oceanside. We've been here roughly 6-7 times and can honestly say every time the food has been spectacular. If you check-in on Yelp, you can score some complimentary bread. They have beers on tap, and many wine bottles to choose from. The staff and owner are always super friendly. If the weather obliges, definitely sit on the patio! There are two patios now and the side patio features a beautiful fountain and even a fireplace.

If you're looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant in Oceanside or Vista, you must try this little hidden gem. I'm a frequent patron, and it's become one of my favorite spots in town. The service is exceptional - the staff is friendly and attentive, and they always make me feel welcome. The food is consistently delicious - I can't get enough of their pasta dishes! They use fresh ingredients, and you can taste the quality in every bite. And the best part? The price is very reasonable, especially considering the high-quality food and service you'll receive. As an Oceansider, I highly recommend giving this spot a try. It's hands down the best Italian restaurant in the area, and I find myself coming back at least once a week. Nice little hole in the wall sit down and eat Restaurant. Great customer service but the guy who served us phew he really needed a shower arm pits were kicking. The clams with the squid noodles were very dry and not too tasty. Everything else was very delicious! The pizzas where all great! We Absolutely enjoyed our dinner. The lemonade was a little to much on the artificial side the taste wasn't that great. The overall look and feel of the joint is really nice and. welcoming.

This may be the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. My wife and I ordered the pane, pulpo, tortellini (all pictured), and a pizza (unfortunately not pictured). It was perhaps a little too much food for the two of us, but it was all incredible. We'll be back for sure.

We tried this place for the first time last night and while it was good, I can’t say it was great. We liked our server. He was prompt and courteous. He gave us suggestions for pasta and pizza. One dish was the braised pork in pasta and the other was a pizza with fennel sausage and peppers. Both were good, but not great. We were delighted with the basket of bread that was served. Very flavorful and delicious. We sat inside due to the high heat, but the patio area outside looked amazing. Would come back again, but didn’t love it.

Absolutely incredible! I wanted to try something different, and I'm so glad I came here. I ordered what felt like a very autumn dinner, Sweet Potato Gnocchi. It was warm, colorful, and complex in flavor. It's quiet here, perfect for a date, or friends gathering. The staff was kind and attentive. Give this place a shot! 😁

This was our first time eating at Mangia e Bevi. It is a small quant little authentic Italian restaurant in Oceanside. We arrived and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and provided exceptional customer service. When we went to order my husband asked for a specific dish (spaghetti and meatballs), which was not on the menu so our server made a suggestion, which would be similar to what he wanted. We were enjoying our wine when the chef came out of the kitchen and introduced himself, the owner Tore. He wanted to clarify exactly what my husband wanted so he could prepare a wonderful dish for him, as the items he order would not go well together. The owner Tore was gracious and wanted us to have a wonderful first meal dinning at his restaurant. He surpassed our expectations. The meal was amazing. I had the homemade tortellini dish which was so good. The cream sauce was perfectly seasoned and not to rich. Our hats off to the Chef and Staff. Thank you for a wonderful meal. You will definitely see us again.

Absolutely perfect evening! The food was exquisite, the service was incredible. Carrie our server, gave us such a phenomenal attention. You could tell it wasn’t just a job for her, she wanted to provide her customers with a fine dining experience.

I’ve been frequenting this little hidden gem in Oceanside for a few years now. The food is excellent and authentically Southern Italian. The service is always spectacular and the new patio outside is just fabulous! Excellent on all fronts, highly recommend!

The best Italian food this side of Sicily! We started with bruschetta. The we ordered the Norma (rigatoni) with artichoke, grilled asparagus, and a Cariciotta (sp) pizza. Everything was delicious!

Four of us had dinner there last night. Both good snd service were excellent. Happy to know that the pandemic didn’t adversely affect them. We all Had different menu items. All delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

An absolute unassuming gem. Fabulous food. Handmade pasta, pizza, incredible wine list, and desserts. If you want authentic Sicilian fare with fabulous service and the freshest best dishes in San Diego this is your hidden gem. Perfect date and family restaurant.

We ate at Mangia e Bevi for the first time last evening and were (all four) amazed at the excellent service and delicious food. We ordered two appetizers, both of which were great. The Pulpo was outstanding. All four entrees were also excellent, but I need to specifically mention mine. I am gluten intolerant and my GF pizza crust, which was made from scratch, was the best I have ever had! I felt like I was eating “real” pizza again. Chef Salvatore deserves all the accolades he has received in my opinion. Thank you, Chef, and server, Carrie, for such a memorable evening. We will be back soon.

Great authentic Italian pasta, pizza, salad with wonderful service and atmosphere. Must try the cannoli!

Besides their hours being more of a suggestion, the first tip off should have been that they're preparing their food in the dining room next to patrons. I've never felt so bloated and in pain from a pizza before. It tasted great, but the after effects were awful. I won't be back and I can't recommend this place to anyone who has immune issues, be they immunocompromised, immunosuppressed, or have autoimmune conditions. If you're healthy, maybe you want to roll the dice, it tastes good.

Absolutely enjoyed my experience here. The food was great. The staff are very prompt and light hearted. Barby was an absolute pleasure to have as my server. I will be coming back and I'm bringing friends!

Ordered the rigatoni alla Norma through ubereats. Can't believe I paid $42 for 2 of this. Its literal store bought pasta and super bland marinara sauce. Pasta was overcooked too. This store has fancy named dishes but it's nothing more than basic pasta and pizza. Hard pass. The size of the portiosn were so small my 5 year son wasn't satisfied.

WOW! Hearty dishes packed with flavor and traditional italian dishes. Love the feel of this restaurant! The pasta is always cooked to perfection (al dente) and the pizza is buonissima. I highly recommend the bucatini arrabbiata ❤️
