Horrible!! I wish I could post a negative number. Rooms were dirty and not cleaned. I reserved rooms for my wedding. All of the guests who stayed here did not have a nice stay. One of my guest had pizza boxes left in their room. My bridal suite smelled moldy and paint falling off the ceiling. I asked to speak with the manager, they said she wasn't going to answer her phone so they didn't and wouldn't call her. I'm still waiting to hear from someone. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Not even my worse enemy!

Air conditioner sounded like it was dying and didn’t work. Beds were soft and springy. Room was outdated. Microwave smelled like it was going to catch on fire. Breakfast was nasty. We would have canceled but we booked on booking.Com and we couldn’t cancel after 6pm. My husband wanted to leave but we have 2 little kids and they were both exhausted and and we didn’t want to move them. We stayed across the street last week at the holiday inn behind Cracker Barrel and it was amazing. We were trying to save 30$ by staying at country inn. Bad idea it definitely would have been worth the extra money. Bathroom looked recently updated but still rusty. They only gave us 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. We only had 2 pillows for each bed.

This place was horrible. We booked online and when we got to the hotel they said they gave our room away to another person with our same last name. To top it off it was 3am we drove from Miami and they were completely booked. They only had 1 room available that was out of service. We took it because we were extremely tired at that point, but boy was that a mistake. The rooms TV was broken, their was female hair all over the floor of the bathroom, they left cleaning rags in the shower which were horrific. The bed sheets didn't even fit the bed, the bed was undone, the pillows looked used. Their was a dog which did not stop barking at 5am. I can hear everyone in the hallway the entire night. I did not get a drop of sleep, honestly I would have preferred to sleep in my car. The room was way to expensive for what you get. It was $138 a night but should of been more like $49 a night. Definitely will never stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We booked a room here to avoid a long drive back home after a UF game and left the room 45 minutes into the stay. Firstly, the carpet and the abhorrent smell youre met with when you get out of the elevator is something straight out of a horror film. The carpet is covered in marks, it smells like mildew…truly digusting. Which was nothing compared to the room itself. The furniture looks like it was dragged through a dumpster. The room itself smelled moist and mildewed and just…gross. The shower had NO water…we would’ve stomached it for the night until we were met with unclean sheets and huge roaches hanging in the furniture. Upon advising the staff, we were met with an attendant who had the nastiest and least helpful attitude. They were sold out for the night and could not place us anywhere else so we ended up having to make the long trek home at midnight! Because we booked through a 3rd party, they were very dismissive and in following up about a refund, they refuse to acknowledge that we were left without a room or an alternative choice to stay so we missed out on money here. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. MOTEL 6’s are nicer than this cesspool.

PROS- clean room, easy check in CONS- Bed was so uncomfortable! It had a dent in the middle so we ended up like a taco. You could feel the springs in the mattress. A/C was super loud, breakfast was just ok. We have definitely had better in this same price range($179 a night).

Worst hotel stay ever. Disgusting and over priced. $500 for two nights. Dirty hard floors in room. No carpet. Feels like a cheap dorm room. Drywall falling off ceiling. Bathroom sink has no counter. Just a sink hanging off the wall like a school bathroom. No place to set down toiletries, no place to set down hair styling tools. No place to do makeup. Wood furniture has scratches all over. Towels smell disgusting. Not like bleach. Just a nasty smell. Wi-fi was so weak none of our devices could connect to it. A/C temperature was locked. Couldn't make the room cool and comfy. The air conditioning unit was so disgusting. Pretty sure it's never been cleaned or serviced. Felt so unsanitary. Overall just a horrible place and a horrible experience and a complete rip-off..

Was not able to stay, they cancelled my reservation and gave it to someone else. Would not give me the reason just that the boss had canceled it earlier. There were no other hotels with availability due to a horse show. I had to scramble and find a hotel for twice the price for the next night. I had nowhere else to go so just sat in the lobby for several hours trying to search further and further out for a room. In the end I had to spend the rest of my night in my car, which was fun being a woman traveling alone. Would not risk a reservation with this company, they may not honor it.

Booked a premium 1 bedroom suite, room 208, at $169 per night, through the Hopper app. Guess they were training a new girl cause she had to tough her way through the check-in process. The chick training her had zero interest in helping. I asked front desk clerk (like their brochure said) to be registered for their loyalty program; Alright I filled out the form and was told I'd get an email confirming my membership; it never happened. In the room I got, the hand held shower looked like it was ripped from the wall and they covered up the hole with tape. And a kitchen cabinet was hanging off its hinge. I think the maintenance department is on hiatus. Anyway, other than that my stay was great. The jacuzzi was amazing, the bed and continental breakfast were nice. I'd stay again.

I have stayed at this same hotel many times in the last 10 years and always used to brag about how nice it was and recommended to my family member to stay there. Well, things have changed and you can tell by the condition of the furniture, the strong smelly carpet on the aisles and in the rooms. The caulk around the bathtub needs to be redone, the furniture has seen better days, etc. The mattresses feel very old and uncomfortable. Hopefully someone gets on it and makes this hotel a jewel once again. It's located next to the highway and surprisingly it's very quiet. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be challenging at times. The front desk lady Ashley is super friendly on the phone and in person. The free breakfast is ok in comparison with the other chain hotels.

I accompanied my husband on a work trip to Ocala. He likes staying here because the staff is always friendly and helpful. Heather greeted me with a smile and Ethel always kept the breakfast area clean and stocked. I needed extra items for the room and Angie was happy to help with all my needs. We had a very important package overnighted to the hotel and the GM Carolyn made sure that everything went smoothly. I see why he likes it here!

From the start. You have to enter the hotel from a gas station. Apon entering the lobby is cute. But once you get up on the floors, the rooms are on, and it smells of cat piss and mold. When entering the room, the ac/heater smelled strong of mold. The floors were dirty. Tub stained. Around toliet not cleaned well. The ice tasted like smoke. At breakfast, the milk was left out and not on ice or ice in the middle. The only thing that was clean was the bedding and linens. I won't have stayed if it wasn't such a long drive and I needed to sleep. So I turned off Ac/heat and went to bed. The next morning, my husband and I woke up to a small cold.

Run don't walk!!!! Avoid this nightmare at all costs. We recently moved from Ocala to Georgia but came back for a mini vacay for Thanksgiving with the family. Walking in the front door it is really nice. But then you go up to the rooms and your hell awaits. This warning is a nutshell but still - It was myself, hubby, daughter, and granddaughter so we had the room with 2 queen beds. Walk in the door and this room is so tiny. The 2 very small beds with a tiny night stand wedged in between, the TV and the little dresser type stand it sits on is all that is in this room. I'm sure we broke the law for capacity because it was so so so cramped with the 4 of us in this room. You practically have to crawl over beds to get from one side of the room to the other. Anyways, we get in this tiny room which had not been cleaned and the toilet don't work. It won't flush at all and the handle just flops all around. Maintenance came up after about 30 minutes, (on our way they said). When he got in the room he asked how long we had been staying. I said we just arrived and he said, "is this the way the room was when y'all came in?" I replied yes. Now the fun begins - he said the room had clearly not been cleaned. Floors were gross with people's hair etc. Trash not emptied, light bulbs blown in the bathroom, about 1/4 roll of toilet paper, no towels, and the shower curtain rod hanging on by a thread. He said he fixed the toilet, replaced the light bulbs, and tried to put a bandaid on the shower curtain rod. I went down to the front desk and requested to be moved. That could not be done until possibly later in the evening and only if a cancellation came in. Well I immediately began looking for other hotels. It's a holiday, day before Thanksgiving, so that was not working. So we agreed to wait hoping for a chance to move to a different room. Because we were told the toilet was fixed, I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and began cleaning the room. Being hopeful but realistic, did not see us moving. So, I scrubbed the entire room - from the walls to the floors - everything. Even took the linens off of the beds and went to a laundry mat. With this all being done we go out to grab dinner and we return to the room the damn toilet don't work again and the shower curtain was falling. By this time it's getting late but I go back to the front desk and report the toilet AGAIN!!! Now it's a different desk clerk whom I might add was so sweet and was obvious she was not having a good night at work. I was not the only person she was dealing with as far as complaints go. Needless to say she handed me a plunger, said best she could do, and for me to talk with her manager in the morning. I will be at that front desk first thing in the morning. Their website needs to be addressed and actual photos shown of what the rooms look like now. Not misleading ones. Also, they are a pet friendly hotel. There is not enough guest parking let alone an area for fido. I would not recommend this hotel to an enemy.

Had to be one of my least favorite hotels. Third floor smelled like weed in a non smoking hotel. First room they put me in, had a fridge that wouldn’t close and water was all over the floor. Relocate me to another room which was ok, but had to be awaken from my sleep twice cause Ashley never switched my room in the system and the front desk thought I was Orlando Brown. After 10 mins of a back and forth I get oh she never switched you in the system. What I tried to tell the housekeeping and the front desk person. Never stay here.

This hotel is partially dated, but overall clean. It appears they are slowly updating pieces, but it needs work. The pool functioned and was enjoyed by many families. It was a heated pool and at times, felt like a hot tub. There weren't enough towels in the pool area or in the room. The room had a hardwood floor which made all noises echo including any knocks on doors. There wasn't enough seating at breakfast and the breakfast options was slim and weren't refilled when we arrived after the rush. The area smelled frequently of recreational smoking.

Stayed here during an overnight work trip. I was very disappointed in the way the front desk woman spoke to my manager, who was asking a simple question about tax exemptions. She seemed very agitated and downright rude. I think she may have been a manager. The hotel is run down; I thought I'd fall through the floor a few times. The tub looked filthy. Other than that, it was OK for one night. The traffic next to the hotel is very noisy but that can't be helped. Just beware if you are a light sleeper.

It's so close to I-75, very noisy. Didn't realize that when we booked it. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Not the hotels fault, but down the hall from us were a bunch of obnoxious teenagers - made for an unpleasant experience. The staff was wonderful, can't say enough good about them.

The hotel is in a great location next to many hotels and stores. The property was clean. The customer service was mediocre. I was provided dirty towels and no daily housekeeping. There should also have a uniform for the front desk to look more professional. Ocala is a beautiful town.

Booked a stay while I came up to visit family, overall we had a good time, the complimentary breakfast was better than most I’ve had at other hotels & was very convenient, my daughter loved the indoor pool & we were close to many restaurants, shopping areas & the springs. Unfortunately the first night me, my wife and our little girl had to sleep in a hot room due to the ac not fully working, Alexis at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional and made us extremely uncomfortable with her lack of sympathy … thankfully Carolyn the GM & her daughter Heather were able to work something out for me and my family, they were very hospitable & took the situation seriously. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here the first night we got to Florida on vacation. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very nice. We ate breakfast the next morning. They had sausage gravy, biscuits, sausage links, cereal, milk, oatmeal, coffee, water, and juice.

No southern hospitality!! THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TIRED PARTY RESERVATIONS. Make sure to confirm directly with the hotel not the reservation email that you have a confirmation. If you have a delay in your travel don't expect them to be sympathic. Expect them to charge you three times. Processed three payments which tied up funds in our bank acount that we could have used for our family trip. Rooms were dirty. Tub was moldy. Not enough towels in room for amount of heads. When we asked for more we were told they didn't have any because they had a full house. Ran out of toilet paper and had no extra rolls in room. Room was never cleaned during our week stay. The breakfast staff was very rude. They took up a table with there stuff where a family could sit. Would be a great hotel if it was ran better. Great location.

The location is convenient and the rooms are big. Also the breakfast is pretty good and the furnishings in the room are nice and updated except the bathroom. There’s mold on the bathroom wall and mildew on the bathtub. The bathtub faucet drips constantly. The phone also does not work. Also there was no hair dryer and because the phone didn’t work I walked downstairs to get on. There was a manager and another person helping another guest. When the manager was finished helping the other person she walked right past me instead of asking if she could help. I asked the other person on duty for a hair dryer and she said someone would bring it to me. It took 20 min and a phone call (from my cell) to get it. I probably wouldn’t have cared except that lots of little things add up.

The room was not clean and the room of someone in our group had mold. The breakfast was O.K. but the price was not worth sleeping in dirty rooms. I picked the hotel because of the hot breakfast. However, I was disappointed with the rooms. The bed did not even seem like a King bed. Do they have junior king beds? In any case, it was a disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff is friendly and nice. Very helpful people. The rooms really need some updating. Furniture is broken and beat up, the tub needs fresh caulk and the pillows are awful. The staff keep the room as clean as possible but the owners really need to invest into refreshing things there.

Ocala, FL Room 511. Manager was rude when we checked in. We've been here 4 days on vacation, and housekeeping has not checked in with us to change our garbage, give us clean towels, or ask if we need anything. We had no idea upon reserving a room, that dogs are allowed. We haven't got any sleep due to dogs barking. Last night we heard kids screaming at midnight. I went down stairs to see what was going on. A Mother and her 4 kids were still swimming after midnight. The breakfast was great, but that's the only good thing I have to say. Do not recommend. We won't be back. We didn't come 1,000 miles for this!

Location is perfect. Near everything you you need. The room decor was new and modern but the tub needed re- caulking. Little moldy. Pool was nice and clean- indoor. Kids loved it. Overall good stay. Friendly staff.

Buyer beware! Go across the street, pay the extra 30 bucks and sleep well. This place was very dirty. The room was dated, large chunks of paint scraped off of the doors, stains on the bedding, flooring, walls, bathtub. The caulking in the bathtub was missing in several areas. Hair in the bedding as I inspected for bed bugs. At this time my wife yelled from the other room "Oh, hell no! We are leaving!" She found a roach running on the wall in the bathroom, and one smashed against the wall. We took pictures and went to the office. The person there seemed like it was normal and told us we had to contact the manager the next day if we wanted a refund. We couldn't get out fast enough.

Room was extremely clean, breakfast was actually good! The pool was not heated as advertised but no big deal. The only problem I had was the wifi was non-existent. I would stay again no prob

Rooms were clean... Pool was ice cold and we were told it was heated, but not at that time. Only vending and ice were on first floor. We had to use WIFI from hotel next door. Service at breakfast was good, friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good.

  • 1/5 Annie W. 2 years ago on Google
When I first got there to check in there were two ladies at the front desk. One was on the phone but the other was waiting on someone else. VERY RUDE they were rude to each other. But coming from a customer walking into a place of business it didn't look good. The room was a 6 on a scale of one to 10. The cover on the bed didn't look clean I took it off because I travel with my own, the bath tub looked like someone with dirty feet had just got finished taking a bath. House keeping needs to do MUCH BETTER. I dont think I will be staying there again. I've stayed in other Country Inn and Suites before in other cities and I've never had a problem before until now.
