After a 10 hour journey, I found the location perfect. The hotel is very close to the train station and surrounded by cafes/restaurants. The room is clean with a comfortable bed, and I haven't noticed any bad smell or anything unpleasant. I am not seeking any additional facilities as I only came here to sleep, and there is nothing for me to complain about.

I really enjoyed my week long stay at Hotel Bristol! It’s on the good side of Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. The hotel is comfortable with every convenience needed for a comfortable stay. I stayed in a room with a double bed and also enjoyed breakfast daily in the dining room. Breakfast features hot and cold options. Friendly staff were available 24/7. The only downsides were old carpeted floors with obvious stains and an elevator as slow as Christmas. Everything was great other than this. I would stay here again!

This hotel was definitely not a 4 star establishment, unfortunately. Upon arrival, no one even looked up from their desk to greet us. Regardless (staff is allowed to have long nights of course), our room was clean but looks as though it has not been renovated in many years and leaves the impression of being grungy after many years of use. The dark brown carpets were stained with mysterious substances. Our room smelled faintly of sewage. The air unit would not go under 22 degrees Celsius. Our refrigerator was not cold. There was a lack of basic amenities, such as washcloths. The surrounding area was concerning. It smelled of urine and there were people in the walkways approaching you each block.

Well located hotel, convenient to everything (train station and public transportation, etc). But its breakfast buffet... Better than most hotel buffets and is included in the room rate, not an add on. Two rooms on either side of the food items; one room overlooks the very nice garden with tables and chairs. In sum, a VERY appetizing presentation: Good food and GREAT bread(s)!

Me and my family checked into the hotel from 27 to 29 December 2022. We were so disappointed. The hotel is unclean. The heaters were not working. Phones in the rooms were not working. The towels are worn out. The staff members including manager (except one who informed us that he was new) were so unhelpful. There was noise from the other rooms and passages. The location of the hotel is not the safest. The only positive thing is the restaurant. I will not recommend it to anyone.

I was extremely satisfied with my choice so my task is not to tell only good but to explain contrary about other review. I had a small room with very good price. The room is really small but I need it only to sleep and it has everything urgent, also the desk place to work. The bathroom meanwhile is small but the douche cabin itself even bigger than standard so more comfort. Absolutely clean. Quite. No noise which I read in other reviews. No gangs or other criminal persons around. Breakfast is expensive. But it has everything you need. Strange that somebody reviewed it as poor. With what you compare with? Maldives 5*? Maybe for people if it will cost not 16,50 but 11-12 it will be much more tasty. Anyway... Very recommended as city hotel or place between travels. Good prices, good quality for all. Thank you.

Fine hotel for 1 or 2 nights, close to train station which is nice. Shower/bathroom was poorly designed so water gets all over the bathroom floor. Also not a lot of outlets in the room and not beside the beds.

Friendly staff, good room, and nice WiFi. Bad areas like other reviews said, but it is Frankfurt, can't blame the hotel for a city problem. Should try out the Vietnamese restaurant next door, it is amazing!

It is a nice hotel to stay if you're on a business trip in the area of Central railway station. Rooms are small, but enough to sleep and a bathroom is decent. Would recommend to including breakfast, because there are really a good choices. There is a very nice inner yard garden for the summer.

This is alright. The girl didn’t tell me about the wifi so had to quickly run downstairs to ask. It should be standard man. These are things you’re customers need everyday. Other than that stay was okay. Making customers feel welcome to Frankfurt would have been better.

I recently stayed at a hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The hotel facilities were impressive, including a well-equipped gym and a relaxing spa. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. The overall atmosphere was inviting and calming, making my stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and pleasant ambiance.

A very good place to stay! The hotel is located very close to the main station, which makes the area a vital mix of chinese restaurants, polish bars and shisha cafes. The breakfast is really amazing, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are okay to sleep and wash, good standard. All in all a good experience.

Clean room, very friendly staff and very fluent in English the location is perfect. Depending where your train leaves you, the hotel you will be 5 to 10 minutes walk.

  • 3/5 Massimiliano M. 11 months ago on Google
Probably 4 stars is overrated but considering the price you pay and the vicinity to the main station cannot complain too much. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is also good. Location is what it is, logistically convenient but decadent.

Great value and great service within walking distance from the Frankfurt Main Station. The lady checking me in was very friendly and patient when we ran into some problems with my booking on Agoda. I was also allowed to check in early at 1 PM instead of the standard 3 PM. The room was small but cozy and clean, and had everything you need for a few night's stay. The sound isolation was also pretty good, and I only heard faint noises when people walked in the hallway. The breakfast buffet was sold separately for 16€ and offered a small but tasty selection of breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, various kinds of deli meats, etc. All in all a very pleasant stay at Bristol Hotel. The only downside was that the area around the Frankfurt Main Station was a bit sketchy. My advice is to not linger too long in the streets and to get back to the hotel before 10 PM.

  • 2/5 Robert H. 1 year ago on Google
Not good. The refrigerator was broken and nobody fixed it, the safe in the room had to be manually opened for me to use it, the room key would constantly stop working, the wifi was bad. The front desk staff are sometimes helpful but other times they are not. The immediate area around the hotel is also sketchy.

Convenient economic hotel in the central station area, very kind staff, confortable bed, small ones, yes, still good. Located 2 blocks walking from central station, the sorroundings can be little unfriendly by the night, however i never felt unsafe walking around at any time.

Decent hotel for the price, I would have given it 5 stars. I had to deduct 3 stars because of the scary streets around the hotel, which do not feel safe (and there are very few places in the world that do not feel safe to me). Shady characters lurking at street corners, aggressive drug addicts, and I even whitnessed a street fight.

Hotel close to train station, but the neighborhood is not sensational... The service is horrible ; when checking out, the receptionist asked me to pay for the leisure tax .... for a reason I don't know, he said the payment didn't go through... so paid a 2nd time by a debit card ... after checking, the receptionist said he will refund the extra payment... I gave him the same card he used to pay, he said that I need an expiry date ... I have never been reimbursed!!! Terrible service.... don't recommend this hotel

A hotel with a fair price, you find a clean room, and that's about it.... don't expect a super friendly staff and everything in tip-top conditions....you will find staff who just does their job, and the hotel looks a bit used, but as I said, clean.....so if you need a night or two to stay close to the train station, then it's quite ok. If I would go there again? Yes

One of the worst hotel stays of my life. They put me on floor 2, with construction happening directly below my room outside. I'm not talking minor renos. I'm talking a full on crane and jack hammers immediately outside my window about 5 meters away. The construction started at 8 am every morning. And went all day. I got the room to work out of for a book I'm editing. I couldn't even concentrate I was so frustrated. When checking out, after 4 days, they charged me more money for a tax they didn't initially disclose.

Rooms are small and cozy, comfortable for a night or two but the lighting in the room was just too bad, too dull and needs to be worked on. Staff were approachable and friendly. The breakfast buffet was 16/17 euros per person which honestly felt a bit too expensive for the spread that was out that particular day, not sure if they change it on a daily basis. Overall an ok experience. Do recommend based on location, staff and room charges.

Worst hotel I have been to. I don't know the bar belongs to them or not but it was too loud and you can't sleep. Called reception at 1 pm and they said bar will be closed soon. Prefer staying at any station rather than this hotel. If you can't even sleep in a hotel peacefully, it doesn't worth a penny.

Quiet and clean room, nice breakfast. Most staff really nice. Seems smoking is allowed in the hotel bar on ground floor during some hours. Not that nice....

It is a really good hotel. Clean, good and helpful staff. Even they allowed me to check-in 4 hours before without any additional payment. I appreciate it too much. Hotel is located very close to the main train station (4-5 minutes to walk). When I read the comments before my stay, I realized, that this hotel is located in a very bad district. It is wrong! The location is safe, in spite of a fow drug sellers in the streets. Big bathroom, comfortable beds. I am very satisfied. Staying this hotel show me, that not always we can beilive on the comments...

Clean rooms, friendly staff, definitely good breakfast. 3 minute walk from the central station, even with the windows facing the train station it wasn't noisy. Beds were okay, but the pillows were too thin. I like my pillow to be thin, but I had to fold it 3 times to be comfortable. There was no extra pillow in the closet. It's a pity that parking spots in the garage cannot be reserved, but they had plenty spots available during my visit.

One of the worst experiences. Very unhelpful staff. They can't be bother to give you proper information. The hotel doesn't really feel like a 4* hotel like some others pointed out. They really need to improve on their service and staff training. I've dealt with 3 different receptionists and they were all equally bad. It's got to be a management issue here. They claim to have car park but this is not on site and is very difficult to get in or out. There is no signage around be it English or German. To sum up my experience funnily enough they had this statue in reception...

Positive: clean hotel & nice breakfast. Negatives: staff are not friendly, the safe in the room was not working and the mini-bar was missing

Plus point it's directly opposite the rear entrance to Frankfurt train station. There is a very good restaurant directly opposite in the square and a nice little bar, but if your not confident the street next to it on the other side isn't the best late at night, I got hassled by 2 groups of men when I went down there alone at about 9.30pm to go to the shop. No problem at all when walking that way with someone else though. Rooms are small and basic but it was cheap so fair for the price and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was good and plenty of it with a lovely little outdoor garden should you choose. The bar was open late and very lively, never been in such a lively hotel bar actually but the atmosphere was good and we enjoyed it. €4.50 for a beer but watch the spirits €9 for a rum and coke . There is also a quiet bar but can't comment as we didn't use it. The checkin, bar and breakfast staff were all very nice only negative was the lady that checked us out was pretty rude and it all seemed like a huge hassle for her to deal with us. All in all if you want reasonably priced accommodation close to the train station for easy transport links it's a decent hotel, I would return

Very nice facilities and good free breakfast But the location is so bad — 1 block away (toward the train station) there are a ton of drug users, people shooting up on the street, shirtless druggies, people buying drugs, etc. This area lasts for a few blocks directly between the hotel and downtown. Overall, only stay here if you need somewhere to crash and don’t want to explore Frankfurt.

The hotel is for unfussy people. Breakfast is poor. Bar is overpriced. Cocktails are awful and very expensive. Music is playing that louf that it's nearly impossible to sleep till 2.30am You must be overtired or drunk as hell to fall asleep there. Garage is located half of kilometer away from the hotel. And the worst thing about it. The location. There are loads of marginalized black people who are happy to help you to loose your money/health. Personally i was ok but it's terrible.

Rooms are clean but can use some freshening up, some more amenities could be provided like a bottle of water Location is very convenient 5 minute walk from the central station Staff are very friendly Delicious breakfast I appreciate the fact the hotel doesn't smell like mildew unlike other hotels I've been to Air conditioning works, quite place overall Would stay here again

My room was compact but perfectly comfortable. Within walking distance of the Frankfurt messe with bars and choice of restaurants nearby.. Breakfast deserves a mention. Mega selection of good things to eat.. fruit, cereals, cold meat and cheese, eggs and bacon.. and lots of coffee. Staff very helpful.. Recommended!

  • 4/5 Silvia F. 2 years ago on Google
The first impression of the hotel was a bit unprofessional: the personnel in the reception did not follow anti-covid measures like wearing a mask properly or asked for any personal documents at the check-in, plus the fact that the reception was left empty at evening time with no control of the entrance, when the neighborhood started to seem not so safe. Very kind personnel during breakfast. The hotel has a cool style in the hall, bar and breakfast room. The room was comfortable and provided basic elements like soap, gel and shampoo (no other amenities). In general a normal stay.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!! I stayed at the Bristol via Priceline, which rates this as a 4-star property. So false. Such an inaccurate rating. Shame on Priceline. This is on par with a Quality Inn or Econolodge in the US. Perhaps worse if viewed through certain lenses. Lobby and room at first glance looked decent enough. Old, worn, dated but clean. However, details… (1) Tiny tiny bathroom. One of those where the shower is right on top of the toilet. Shower stall so small that if you don’t turn gingerly, you risk knocking the shower knob and turning the water icy cold. I’m 5’9” and 165 - so you do the math. Pretty sure an American ‘overweight’ will struggle even sliding into the shower stall. (2) Thermostat doesn’t work / no control of room temperature. I didn’t notice until when I returned back to my room at midnight. Still chilly cold. Clearly wasn’t 25C. (3) Super egregious point for Americans - it was a non-smoking room, but the hotel has a smoking-allowed club downstairs. Which is open at night. Until beyond 2am apparently. The ventilation of the building is such that the smoke went right into the room. Didn’t smell a thing during the day. By night, it was disgusting. Reeked of cigarette smoke. (4) To rub a little salt into the wound, the Bristol also charged me when I had already prepaid Priceline for the room. This is apparently a common issue with these folks. I had read it from other reviews - so I double-checked when I was checking in and out to make sure. During the checkout, the girl mentioned confusion. So I stopped and clarified again that I already paid. She seemed annoyed and waived me off. “Whatever, we’ll figure it out.” Sure enough, a few hours later, a charge appeared on my credit card. SMH. When I emailed the property 2 days later, silence. For 2 days!!! What a joke! NOT German efficiency. It took a week before I finally got my money back. Avoid this hotel. Horrible.

Hotel is fine, needs a bit of attention as lamps are not working and hot water is difficult in the morning. The bar however is fine and friendly people working there.
