Avoid.
Avoid.
Avoid!!
I
stayed
at
the
Bristol
via
Priceline,
which
rates
this
as
a
4-star
property.
So
false.
Such
an
inaccurate
rating.
Shame
on
Priceline.
This
is
on
par
with
a
Quality
Inn
or
Econolodge
in
the
US.
Perhaps
worse
if
viewed
through
certain
lenses.
Lobby
and
room
at
first
glance
looked
decent
enough.
Old,
worn,
dated
but
clean.
However,
details…
(1)
Tiny
tiny
bathroom.
One
of
those
where
the
shower
is
right
on
top
of
the
toilet.
Shower
stall
so
small
that
if
you
don’t
turn
gingerly,
you
risk
knocking
the
shower
knob
and
turning
the
water
icy
cold.
I’m
5’9”
and
165
-
so
you
do
the
math.
Pretty
sure
an
American
‘overweight’
will
struggle
even
sliding
into
the
shower
stall.
(2)
Thermostat
doesn’t
work
/
no
control
of
room
temperature.
I
didn’t
notice
until
when
I
returned
back
to
my
room
at
midnight.
Still
chilly
cold.
Clearly
wasn’t
25C.
(3)
Super
egregious
point
for
Americans
-
it
was
a
non-smoking
room,
but
the
hotel
has
a
smoking-allowed
club
downstairs.
Which
is
open
at
night.
Until
beyond
2am
apparently.
The
ventilation
of
the
building
is
such
that
the
smoke
went
right
into
the
room.
Didn’t
smell
a
thing
during
the
day.
By
night,
it
was
disgusting.
Reeked
of
cigarette
smoke.
(4)
To
rub
a
little
salt
into
the
wound,
the
Bristol
also
charged
me
when
I
had
already
prepaid
Priceline
for
the
room.
This
is
apparently
a
common
issue
with
these
folks.
I
had
read
it
from
other
reviews
-
so
I
double-checked
when
I
was
checking
in
and
out
to
make
sure.
During
the
checkout,
the
girl
mentioned
confusion.
So
I
stopped
and
clarified
again
that
I
already
paid.
She
seemed
annoyed
and
waived
me
off.
“Whatever,
we’ll
figure
it
out.”
Sure
enough,
a
few
hours
later,
a
charge
appeared
on
my
credit
card.
SMH.
When
I
emailed
the
property
2
days
later,
silence.
For
2
days!!!
What
a
joke!
NOT
German
efficiency.
It
took
a
week
before
I
finally
got
my
money
back.
Avoid
this
hotel.
Horrible.
